So I tried looking this up and it seems there's some new feature where business pages can send there recent post in a message to all of their fans at once.
Does anybody know what this is called so I can research it more?
Is it called a broadcast channel or something?
Hey Growth Hackers,
I've been in marketing my whole career and spent 9 in social media agencies and I've always heard and used the word "Social Media Gurus" or "Social Media Wizards"...etc. My question is, what makes someone a Social Media Guru? I'm talking thresholds. Previous success is surely one factor. Can you call yourself a guru if you've never worked with an agency, or only worked in agencies where you had team support? How about a student in their dorm who just "gets it"? And, more importantly, how can you spot a true wizard?
I feel this question can only be answered by actual whiz's, gurus, sages or masters. If you think you are one of these let me know what you think in the comments.
Where's the line? Is there a line?
I work for a new company that is in a very competitive market. Our product is unique enough that I feel like we have so much potential to grow. Our prices are also lower in comparison to our competitors so that helps us stand out. I am trying everything I can to build the brand organically. We have a small budget we are using to run ads on meta and Google. We aren’t wanting to dump money into it unless we know it can work. I have my current strategy below and am wondering what you think. Is it worth my time and how long should I give it before calling it quits?
My strategy:
-post on Tik Tok at least once a day. The videos are a mixture of funny and product focused. -post on Instagram daily. Mix between reels and static posts. -Post IG stories daily. I have some fun story series going. I keep them under 6 -work with influencers and have them post about our products. -Pin at least 1 pin a day on Pinterest. -I started a blog where I am doing a series where we interview and also where I provide fun information. I post on the blog about once a week. -UGC style videos for ads. Constantly testing out ads.
My other question is it possible to organically grow a business on social media with a small budget?
Hello, Reddit community!
I’ve noticed that most social media management platforms typically use profile-based pricing, where users pay according to the number of social media profiles they manage. However, I was wondering why no one has ventured into offering different pricing tiers based on the number of posts users can make each month.
I’m eager to hear your insights and experiences regarding this idea.
Disclaimer: I run a social media management tool and am considering updating my pricing strategy to test this metered approach. However, I wanted to gather opinions from this community before making any changes. Thanks for your thoughts!
As a personal project, I would like to create a new social network (as a website and then as mobile app), and I am undecided between various alternatives. One of them is a social classic where you can create text posts that can also have images, videos and links. I mean, basically it would be like social media like Twitter, except I'd like to make some changes that I think can make my social media better. For example, since there are no posts from institutions or companies, it would give priority to people's genuine posts. It would also be ad-free (and because it's my personal project I won't collect any user data other than email to create an account), and there will also be fewer limitations on content delivery (unless there are illegal cases or extreme stuff). Finally, I would also like to include communities focused on a single theme (subreddits type) which is a nice thing in my opinion. What do you think? Would you use my social? Do you have any advice? I ask why before I plan I would like to know if it would be worth it and if someone like me would like the idea.
Hey everyone! What do you think about a link-in-bio tool that’s like your own mini reel, where you can add swipeable slides (sort of like how TikTok/ YT shorts/ IG reels works)? You’d fill each slide with your own content like image (single or carousel), video, text, link or even interactive ones like polls and sign-ups.
Would this interactive format be useful for you? Would love to know your thoughts!
Everytime I post with it, especially any pictures, it just fails over and over. Anybody else having this problem? Is it user error or an issue with buffer?
.
Hey guys, I am working really hard at becoming a micro influencer so far I have just over 20,000 followers I am wondering if you know of any micro influencer platforms that I can be on to get brand deals?
I’m looking for social tools to help understand narrative and/or cultural changes. I’ve heard of Sparks & Honey’s Q but wonder are there others to consider? I’m coming from a monitoring, evaluation, and impact lens for this kind of work. Appreciate the help!
I’m building multiple Reddit accounts to promote my NSFW, no-taboo AI chat site, cross-posting daily, and gaining 50-250 new followers per day. The conversion rate on Reddit is solid, and I only post in relevant subreddits.
On other platforms, like X, I’ve found it much harder to build a community—my content gets pushed down, reaches fewer users, and overall engagement is low. Reddit, on the other hand, is much more effective for reaching an audience.
Can anyone suggest other social media platforms similar to Reddit, where community building and reach are good?
Hey r/SocialMedia,
I wanted to share a quick reality check: after hitting 35.9 million impressions on X (Twitter), my total earnings were…$115.24. Social platforms push us to create constantly, but their monetization? Not exactly creator-friendly.
Here's how I’m taking control back:
Algorithms come and go, but your email list is yours. Platforms like Morning Brew have thrived by going direct to their readers, and I’m taking a page from their book.
I’ve found paid newsletters and courses to be sustainable options. They let me set my price, keep my earnings, and deepen my connection with subscribers.
Now, I use social to drive traffic to my email and site — platforms I actually control. No algorithm limits, just me connecting with my audience.
Curious if anyone else here has taken steps to reclaim their content from social platforms? What’s working for you?
My company uses EmbedSocial's Feedlink. We chose this one several years ago because it was one of the only link in bio systems that feeds Instagram posts automatically and add the links we include in the captions. Our issue is that the feed refreshes every 6 hours (they said it will refresh faster if you pay them but that is not the case). While you can go to the backend of the feedlink and refresh it, our company just does not have the manpower to refresh the feed every time we make a post since we schedule them all ahead of time.
We're a real estate company that makes multiple posts a day and we need a link in bio solution that refreshes constantly so that when we make a post, our followers can immediately go to our link in bio to view the listing. Can anyone suggest a link in bio solution with automatic high refresh rates?
Hi guys, looking for some guidence here.
How would you structure content packages for a local restaurant/business? Mainly focused on reels and video, but as far as pricing and structure what is fair at current market price (I live in Miami so things are a bit pricier here and people tend to pay./charge more) but maybe offering a basic package with 1 edited reel a week, another intermediate package with 2-3 reels a week + photos and a full out package including social media management of the page as well as creating and editing content for them.
Hi, I am a travel content creator with a following of 60k on IG, and 100k on Tiktok. I had never had followers before and ive been using social media all my life. I always wanted to have a following (not to be famous or popular) but because ive always chased the wifi passive money life and freedom. I knew i needed a large following to start taking it to the next level with coaching, monetization, brand deals, etc.
Now that i have a good enough following to start converting, i have no idea where to start. I do have an idea of what i need to do as far as the frame work steps, but its all over the place. I want to start targeting my audience to be more loyal and committed, to pay for information, calls, consulting, courses and tutorials, etc.
I did just recently start a broadcast channel which about 180 people joined, to filter out people who are more committed into learning the things I offered I would talk about in the channel.
I know i have to create a lead magnet to then gather emails and then take them into a more exclusive group platform community so they can get more free value and access to me and others, and then eventually trying to sell them on paid digital assets/coaching calls or me tor calls to grow their page, work with big hotels, etc.
I know its very generic but i need help with the steps and maybe the apps you would use as far as the framework behind it, so i have somewhere to start or maybe im missing something. I need to make money off my social media at this point with the effort i put it, if anyone can guide me itll be greatly appreciated.
Hello everyone!
I want to kick off a discussion about a pressing issue: fake followers on social media platforms. Many people are tempted to buy Instagram or TikTok accounts to boost their businesses, but it can be disheartening when the followers are not real.
Have any of you experienced this situation?
As a developer, I’m investigating ways to spot fake followers before making a purchase. I’ve started developing a tool to tackle this problem. While it’s in the initial phase, here are my early objectives:
I’d love to get your feedback! What features do you think would be most useful? Are there any specific warning signs I should keep an eye out for?
If this topic resonates with you, let me know if you’d like updates on my progress. I’m keen to hear your thoughts and experiences!
Thanks for reading!
Hey all. Honestly, I know that being on instagram is bad for my mental health and I wish I could just delete it. Unfortunately, I'm a performer and need to post stories to let folks know about upcoming shows and to respond/send DMs. I hate opening up instagram to do this because I hate being exposed to the feed. Is there a lightweight tool that will let me post, keep up with DMs, and respond to comments without being exposed to the feed? I don't want to pay $100/mo to hootsuite but honestly my mental health might be worth it
Hey, I need some help and suggestions, I have recently taken over managing a new social media account for a non profit community violence prevention page in which the previous sm manager ran a lot of Ad’s. The account has 350 followers following 500. 500 post. I am struggling to get any organic reach, naturally I get about 7-10 people engaged. We’re working on rebrand but not sure if I should archive everything , clean feed or what.
We want to promote the certified trainings, testimonies and the training manuals
Demographic: Age 35-45
Gender women 34% Men 61%
We’re posting 3 x a week, videos of 1-3min training and scenarios, testimonial quotes, flyers and I’m looking into clipping 60 seconds videos.
Edit: I realize the original post was super vague! My apologies added more details
Hi, Basically I started my instagram 2 years ago but wasn’t sure what my niche was, it was lifestyle but it always changed and I was never posting consistently. First it was workouts, than it became day in life’s, motivation and now I started to post consistently with travel lifestyle videos but I think my videos aren’t going to my new audience since I have posted in the past 2 years. I only have 180 followers anyways and 95% of them are people I know. Is it better if I just restart?
If anyone wants to see my instagram shoot me a dm.
Would love some information
Influencer marketing has always been tricky to measure. The classic approach of using a single landing page doesn’t exactly work when each influencer’s audience has unique tastes and expectations. So, I started experimenting with personalized funnels—one for each influencer, tailored from the social media click through to checkout.
Here’s the process I followed to make it work:
This approach really transformed our conversions. It’s a bit more setup, but making the shopping experience feel personal can be a game-changer.
Would love to hear if anyone else has tried this approach or has tips on further refining it!
Hi guys, I’m unsure about the best way for me to start off on social media. I was thinking about starting a channel on me showing my weight loss journey and giving people tips along the way. I used to fight professionally and have let myself go massively but I’m going to get back in good shape and thought I may as well document it on social media while I do it. I think it would be good if I can motivate others to do the same and would be happy to help others along the way. Has anybody got any ideas on the best way to start my first video? Should I give a story of my back ground or just get straight into my diet and training routine? Also is it better to make accounts on all platforms or just stick to one, if so which one would be better suited for me?
Hi all,
I'm trying to build my channels to tell stories of the adventures I embark on, struggle is I don't know how to convert it into a voice that audience want to hear. I'm not very confident with using my own voice or face on the different mediums, and using voiceover feels like it would miss the essence. I've a lot of photos and videos from my travels.
Theme of my channel would usually be entertainment and may evolve in infotainment.
Can the good people of internet please provide suggestions of what can I do to get better or alternatives?
Thanks all!
So I promoted a Twitter/X post 2 hrs ago and this is the current overview. Haven't done this before and since its fresh, i can't tell if its doing well, middle of the road, or bad. As well as cost. This is a test i'm running.
Stats:
Impressions:8,475
Spend:$21.84
Video Views:2,244
Cost Per Video View$0.01
Video Starts10,208
Video Played 25 Percent:182
Video Played 50 Percent:83
Video Played 75 Percent:65
Video Completions:41
Video View Rate: 26.48%
Daily Budget$60.00
Again new to this, I keep seeing it depends on the platform.
I'm currently working with a small business for crystals. I'm a sales associate but I'm also their social media content creator. They asked me for a calendar plan and my package rates. This is my first time doing this so idk what's reasonable.
My plan is to create 2-4 videos per month ( 1 per week) and 3-6 infographics per month (1-2 per week). I'm thinking charging around $250-350. Thoughts?
Over the past two weeks, I’ve started posting AI-generated art/storytelling videos and have seen unexpected growth:
• Instagram: 27k followers
• TikTok: 17k followers
• Discord: 39 members (in the last 24 hours)
• YouTube: 26 subscribers
• Patreon: 1 subscriber🥹
• Total Video Views: 11.6 million
I’m thrilled with the engagement but also a bit overwhelmed. I want to ensure that the content I create remains valuable and genuine. However, the process is costly, and I’m unsure how to move forward in terms of monetization and sustaining this momentum.
I understand that AI art can be a controversial topic for some, but my goal is to focus on the creative and storytelling aspects it enables. I’m looking for guidance on:
• Monetization strategies that align with my content and help offset production costs.
• Best practices for converting followers into a supportive community.
• Tips on navigating potential controversies while maintaining authenticity.
Thanks in advance for your help!
I'm reaching out for advice regarding a serious issue with my Facebook account that was hacked in February 2023. I am located in Europe. The hackers posted an ISIS flag on my profile, which led Meta to immediately disable my personal account, linked to my music band and studio pages.
While I managed to regain access to some accounts through a secondary profile, the hackers retained control of the band's page, removed all admins, and began running ads.
I have taken numerous steps to resolve this issue:
So I created a new page, but as soon as I posted a couple of live pictures depicting me and the band, it got unlisted shortly after, being cited as an "imposter" page by Meta.
The original hacked page now seems to be in a "zombie state," with no ads running and no clear ownership visible.
I've contacted lawyers, but none have been able to provide sufficient information on my next steps. I’m seeking either to regain access to the hacked page or pursue the complete removal of that page so I can create another one without fear of being flagged again.
All intellectual property associated with my music is mine, and I want to ensure I can protect it.
As much as I dislike it, given that my band's audience is primarily over 35 years old—many of whom still use Facebook regularly for updates—I cannot ignore the platform entirely and rely only on Instagram or TikTok.
If anyone has experience dealing with similar situations or has any other advice on this matter, your insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help.
Tattoo artist: stuck at 2300 followers , there is no growth ,any tips?
Looking to create a music account on Instagram with videos of me playing various instruments, how can I get these videos to get more views and further reach?
How can i manually upload 2-3k reels using dummy accounts from a single device without device flagging or IP ban? Or is it possible to automate this, and if possible how much will it cost me?
There's this person who somehow knew my Snapchat username from 2 or 3 years back. I never shared it with them, so I'm curious how they could've figured it out. Any ideas?
