I was looking at the budget side of Adidas and was wondering if I should by the Copa pure 2 club vs league? To me they both look the same.
Hey guys. My 8 yrs. Old son is Vini fan. I want to make surprise for him. Does anyone have any concrette info which exact boots does Vini wear this season? Thanks
I play indoor soccer on a rubbery/turf field. I have giant feet. I am trying to find a pair of turf shoes (with the little rubbery knobs) to play in. I can't play in cleats. "Indoor" or futsal shoes won't work as well.
Does anyone have experience with turf style American football shoes for soccer? I'm not finding ANY turf shoes in my size for "soccer," but I think I could have luck with American football shoes. (I'm not trying to be weird with American football, I just want to be clear what I'm looking for).
I know outdoor cleats can't really be swapped, but I wondered if indoor turf shoes were more versatile.
I recently bought new soccer cleats (Puma future pros) I can’t tell if they are too small because there is a decent amount of room in the toe box, more than half my thumb, but my pinky toe and the one next to it are squished. Do I just need to break them in or are they too small?
You just have to see how much they dominate sales statistics outside of the serious amateur competitive leagues and professional players. For casuals like teens on a football team in London and people just playing for fun at their front yard, Adidas cleats are the most bought and used. Why? How did the company com to dominate footy cleats and other footwear sales?
My username should make it part of why I ask this question so obvious but as a Euro immigrant I also play soccer just as much. What shoes are et for playing both sports below competitive level (even below school level is what I do) but still a bit more than casual? As in I do drills everyday is what I mean.
What shoes are best for long-run durability? Obviously sneakers are off the list. If possible a I'm seeking something that combine the important point of shoes for both sports like the hard tip of football cleats and the higher than normal and sturdier heels so common in Basketball while also being endurable for long-term use.
Obviously such a hybrid type of shoes won't have everything deemed desirable for both sports but I'm seeing whats the closest thing I can find suitable for daily drills for both sports thats still not competitive amateur level.
Uncle mailed me two pairs of soccer shoes. Not only did they both have harder tips (and outsoles too) than my sneakers but one of them felt heavier at the toe area to move around. Why is this? In particular the hard outsole esp the tip where the toes are unlike my everyday sneakers?
I am completely ignorant of soccer and never played at all until today. Hell my uncles has been pestering me to get into soccer which is why he mailed the shoes to me last week and also today a soccer ball came by mail. The soccer ball isn't hard and I can even kick it barefooted without any shoes. Its not a generic one either, its an ADDIDAS and it states on the box its used by FIFA.
So why are soccer shoes made this way? Is there a reason for the harder top of the shoes esp the toe tips? I get the other differences like the bottom of the soccer shoes having those weird spikes which obviously means better for running on grass. But the soccer ball is so light I cannot imagined needing a harder outsole esp at the tip for protection!
Are soccer shoes really designed like this Or did my uncle mail be some bizarre novel items?
Hi! New to Reddit/soccer_boots. I have a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor I (US 9.5) that are immaculate uppers, but have cracked under chassis (long story).
I'm trying to find anyone looking to sell their old beat up pairs (as I'd be looking to remove the soleplates).
Obviously really old boots but couldn't hurt to ask.
Other than that, the only other option I can think of is trying to 3-D print the sole. Thoughts?
Hi, can anyone help me with sizing for the vapor 13 elite? I have a slightly wider than average foot but feel like the vapor would still fit as I have previously worn the superfly 4 which was a narrow boot. Can anyone reccomend whether to go half a size up or go true to size with my foot. If it helps I currently wear the Tiempo legend 7 elite. Thanks!
I know this gets covered periodically, but I'm totally lost.
All the guides online include Copa Mundials in their lists of boots for wide feet. However, Copas are absolutely terrible for wide feet. They talk about the flexibility of the leather, but if half of one's foot is sitting past the outermost stud, the rolling of ankles is inevitable. I don't understand why these lists include shoes like the Copa Mundial.
Anyway, this isn't about comfort, exactly. I'm interested in a boot with a wider outsole, so that most of my foot is actually over the studs.
Any advice? I need a narrowish heel and a wide toe box. Price is really not an issue.
They had an indoor/futsal/lifestyle shoe called the Jackal that was Hunter green, white and black. Man I loved those. I would buy those today if they were around.
I’ve been wearing Samba Millenniums for years, but would like to find a lightweight boot. My problem is I find synthetics to be sooooo narrow in comparison to their leather counterparts. I wear an 8 in the Samba, but any synthetic shoe has been far too narrow, even when I go up a full size bigger to a size 9. Any recommendations? Does anyone know of an indoor boot that either sells in a wide option or is wider than most synthetic, lightweight options? Thanks for any help.
anyone using these, especially the wide sizes? how do you like them?
I was just curious if to claim the Nike Warranty for soccer cleats require a receipt. This is because I only been wearing it for 7 months and it’s been a year since the manufacturing date that there’s a separation from the soleplate on my Mercurial Vapors 12 Elite FG. There were gifted to me so I am unable to get the receipt. Thanks a lot!
