I'm moving from the Inland Empire back to Socal in the Long Beach and Anaheim areas. Does anyone stay at an apartment which doesn't have a cockroach/insect problem and has at least a fridge included in their lease. Would be much more preferable if it also includes
It doesn't have to include every single one of those things, but I would prefer it to. I'm only looking for a studio or perhaps even a 1 bedroom. Within the price range of 1400- maybe 1900? It sounds like an impossible task, but if there's even anything close to this please let me know ASAP
There are tons of them on the beach At Huntington today
Planning a 9 day trip (Dec 24 - Jan 1) to SoCal with wife. I don't have a budget set yet but don't want it to go beyond ~3000 for the entire trip, although I can stretch it by $500 or $1000 if needed. Interested in a mix of sun, beaches, natural scenery and theme parks. Don't mind driving to nearby cities as long as they can be reached within 2hrs. Not into museums, music venues or sporting events. I haven't ever been to California so please let me know if I need to provide more details to help you help me :-)
From what I could research online and also taking inputs from ChatGPT, here's what I could come up with as an itinerary:
Day 1 (Dec 24): Land in LAX in the evening around 8pm
Day 2 (Dec 25): <Need help deciding what to do, as everything's closed here in Austin>
Day 3 (Dec 26): Disneyland Day
Day 4 (Dec 27): Universal Studios
Day 5 (Dec 28): Day trip to San Diego (Balboa Park, Zoo and beach?), will return back to LA around late evening
Day 6 (Dec 29): Palm Springs Day trip (Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, Joshua Tree National Park), return back to LA late evening
Day 7 (Dec 30): Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood sign
Day 8 (Dec 31): El Matador Beach in Malibu and Downtown LA for New Years' Eve celebrations
Day 9 (Jan 1): Morning flight back to Austin.
Please let me know your thoughts, thank you for your time!
Hi everybody, this is a pic of a hotel or resort I went to in the late 1990’s. I can’t remember where it was and I’d like to find the location. It’s either in Southern California or Las Vegas. Maybe they remodeled the pool area since then, idk.
Thanks in advance
This is my review of the City of Stanton
Stanton. It’s less stabby than Hawaiian Gardens. It has more plasma donation centers and dollar stores per capita than any other city in all of Southern California. It’s #6 in child pregnancies and juvenile felony convictions (not in the top 5! Woot woot!) There are 16 taquerias in the city proper. The #1 Payday Loan volume location in the western hemisphere is located here and it’s the hometown of the founding member of the Nazi Lowrider gang
Im debating on joining Credit Union Of Southern Cali OR ArrowHead CU
what credit union is better? I live near both so distance isn't an issue. Please share your experience with whatever CU you currently bank with. Thanks (:
Here's my ghost story:
My mom's house is haunted. You can google the address and an article will appear how the man was killed on our front lawn. When my mom brought the house, the previous owners told my mom that the shrine in front of house MUST always be managed. My mom always buy fruits and pray with incense. You know, traditional Asian stuff.
Years later, my mom went to Vietnam for 2 weeks and told me that I must attend to the shrine by praying to incense every night. I told "yeah sure" but had no intentions of doing so because I didnt believe in it.
A week passed and it was raining hard that night. I took a long nap and woke up to study for finals around 2am. I realized that I left my books in my car which was parked on the drive way. I went out, unlocked the car, and looked up and saw a black shadow of a man standing in the front lawn. It was a very dark shadow and it was moving very slowly. The shadow had arms but there wasn't any feet. He was floating and walking around the front lawn. The street lights were on so I knew what I saw wasn't human. I screamed and ran back into the house. I knew it was a ghost about 30 secs after I saw it.
I got curious and asked my neighbor about the shrine. She was like "oh yeah, that's why the past owners built it because they saw the man who died on your front lawn too!"
How about yours?
Hello everyone! This October 29th is going to be the first Republic Day that I’m not in Turkiye to celebrate. Do you know any events going on around the area? Thank you in advance!
Hey all!
I’ll be traveling to Oxnard for work soon and was hoping to get some recommendations on best places to eat.
Bonus if there’s a place that has good birria and margaritas.
A friend claimed that every (bit of a stretch maybe) Californian/SoCal native had a specific go-to playlist for scenic drives on pch. Curious to hear if anyone has one! If so, what are your go-to songs?
I'm looking to make an offer for a $1,500,00 home with 20% down. I was pre-approved for a 30 year fixed loan with an interest rate just under 7% (no points). Living in California. Partner and I have no debt, perfect credit, and high income (payments will be roughly 25-30% of our monthly intake).
This is the first person we've contacted for a loan, but to me sounds high. Monthly pre-tax payments are around 7800. Based on my limited knowledge and experience in this space it feels high to me, we seem like good candidates. Is this a poor deal? Could we negotiate down / shop around for a rate closer to 6.25%, or am I out of my mind.
