could I put a five oh sub deck on a ram top deck?
Hi all,
I've been a longtime snowboarder, I took a break while I had small kids. I've gotten back into it, and have also gotten into longboarding, surfskating, and also street skating. I'm slowly learning to ride transitions.
My small kids are now learning skate and snow sports. My partner isn't as fast of a rider as I am and gets winded easily. So I'm looking for something that is going to continue to be fun challenging. I'll be riding on groomers at resorts most of the time. I'll continue to challenge myself, but I don't see myself aggressively hitting the park anytime soon, but would probably still enjoy practicing reverts, riding switch, and riding off an occasional ramp.
I need something that will be fun with the small kids, but also will be flexible throughout the mountain.
I'm between a:
lib-tech twin complete
Hovland Ram
Hovland Buckshot
Hovland five-o (I know this is probably not for me, but the graphic is oh soo soo good, and hoping someone can help me justify it. haha)
Thanks in advance.
Looking to switch from skating normally to snow skating when the winter hits and it starts snowing, but I don't want to spend 100$+ on a board I can only use when it's snowing.
I have some boards laying around and I want to know how I could use one to snow skate (without waterlogging them)
Loaded boards just dropped a bag for a longboard that looks big enough for even our 135s:

Just sayin...
After picking up a fresh Hovland Ram in Japan last year, thought I'd take it home to Aus to get some practice in... only to find out the fun police didn't allow it. At least at Perisher and Thredbo.
That was until I got in touch with Selywyn Snowfields, who have confirmed that they allow them on the hill *insert shaka*.
Working on the VIC snowfields to see where they currently sit. Watch this space for anyone thinking of bringing a skate down under.
Check out this draft first site http://itsasnowskate.com/, ideally an informational hub to point people in the right direction to products and mountain availability maps.
I have few months watching snowskate videos and getting info about it. Last weekend noticed this Ambition premium signature Fisker on sale for 99€ and had to order it. Luckily “third winter” came and yesterday had a chance test it. I don’t have any experience on skateboarding, but I do snowboard. My boyfriend have skateboarded and tested this board with me, so he could give some tips on small tricks. It was challenging, but also fun. Can’t wait to next winter to really learn with this board.
Would be also interested to try bi-deck snowskate, but chances for demo is really slim and bi-decks are so expensive in Europe.
You win some you lose some
Probably last logride of the season. Looking forward to the next.
