NOTICE: UPS is charging a "brokerage fee" that other couriers do not seem to be doing yet. Avoid them if possible.

I've done a snack exchange years ago between NL (me) and Australia.
That Australian person sent me Jumpys Chicken, and my god those were the best chips I have ever tasted.
I'd like to have them back in my life!
So, is someone up for a (mostly Jumpys Chicken) chips exchange?
Hi everyone,
I wanted to get some other opinions using different shipping services for international mail. What are your experiences mailing snacks like chips, baked goods, candies, chocolates, non-alcoholic drinks, hot sauces, seasonings for someone who would swap with you using the another shipping services to get discounting shipping rates.
Here are a few that I have dealt with or compared to like:
Have you had any pros and cons using such services? Any feedback and reviews you would like to share within the community?
Now, we all know shipping rates can get expensive eventhough we are using the cheapest postal service as first time swap exchanges.
Also, I would read the Customs list of what is allowed in a country that you are trying to swap. Tighter restrictions are imposed during the pandemic, and some countries are protecting their agriculture, human consumption and adhering to their food safety laws. I go by these rules on what to bring and probably based on the person' request, food allergies, what he or she likes and dislikes.
Hey All,
I'm hoping to do an exchange of seasonal treats with someone in another European(-adjacent) or Scandinavian country. I'm looking to do a mid-size exchange, budget around EUR 30-50, excluding shipping costs.
I have previously done an exchange with someone in Germany, and that was great! looking for someone to do a swap in any country (I would even exchange in Germany again) - We can come up with a budget & can exchange likes & dislikes) Can go up to around £100 budget for a bigger haul or can be cheaper.
Hey y’all I’m new here and was delighted to find this sub. I have been desperately wanting to get my hands on some English crisps, and specifically I’ve been wanting to get SLABS thick crisps for me and my father to try! From New Jersey and have access to all manner of American stores, be it Walmart, target, stop & shop, ShopRite(regional grocery store), Trader Joe’s, etc.
Hello, greetings from Maryland USA. Looking to do my first snack exchange. I part time at a Trader Joe’s and have access to various stores like Walmart, Aldi, target, as well as many Mexican stores with authentic snacks and sweets from Mexico.
I tried to google this, but did not find a lot of detailed information. If I want to ship canned fizzy drinks, how do I declare them without customs thinking it's something weird, and how do I ship them safely(can they be shipped by air? Is the carbonation an issue?)
If you have experience with this, how did you fill them in on the customs form? Did it get any additional screening, any penalties or issues?
Intention is to ship from EU to South Korea.
I’m from USA, Florida. I have access to Publix, Walmart, Winn-Dixie, aldis, Bravo, Dollar Tree, dollar general, and more… I can also do diverse snacks like Spanish candy (Cuban, Puerto Rican,Mexican, Nicaraguan and more Snacks/Foods/Spices/Sauces/ Mixes and Drinks)
Hey there! Located in California USA, would love to trade for some Japanese or Korean snacks! Looking for the most popular snacks and drinks in your country and I’ll send you some from the USA! 😊
I am in Michigan to be specific, looking to do a holdiday exchange to surprise my kids. I've done close to 15 exchanges. Open to any specific requests or could surprise you with all my favorites! Looking to spend about 50 USD before shipping.
Hi,
I see that someone had a similar problem on this sub 3 years ago.
I sent a snack exchange package to someone in Germany from the United States via UPS. I thought I did my research appropriately for the Customs form, but UPS called the recipient saying that the package contents weren't sufficiently described, it supposedly won't pass Customs/Zoll, and they requested a list of ingredients for the products in the package. It's a Geschenksendung (gift) to a Privatperson.
I know that EU regulations require more specific declarations, but from what I've read that means instead of just saying "prepackaged snacks," I need to say "chocolates x 2, cookies x 1, chips x 2" etc. I also utilized Harmonization numbers as required by EU regulations.
I put down each category like this:
"Chocolates x 2
1 lb, 2 oz
$10
Harmonization #"
Should I just resubmit what I have to UPS and add the word "prepackaged" before each item? Or do I really need to give them a comprehensive list of all items' ingredients? I included quite an assortment of common American snacks, sauces, candies, etc. Thanks.
Hello,
I was recently speaking to a Thai instagram user who asked if I can export Faygo to him, western United States to Thailand. I'm willing to do this, but I want to make sure it is feasible. He is willing to pay for the drinks and shipping.
My questions are:
Any help with this is much appreciated
Here are some examples of stuff I can trade, https://www.reddit.com/r/snackexchange/comments/1giwdl6/discussion_canadas_greatest_hits/.
I am to try some Pepsi Blue, which as far as I know is only produced still in the Phillipines. Last sip I had was over 20 years ago and it disappeared before I had the chance to try anymore.
Thanks
My daughter (USA) wants to get her boyfriend (England) a snack box for Christmas. What are some good recommendations of snacks and treats that we have in the States that aren't available in England?
Thanks!
All of my snacks will cost around 60 USD. That's without shipping. As for what I would like; I want some leftover Halloween snacks if possible (love candy corn!), and Christmas snacks. Also, something that's interesting and new. Please specify your state, as I can request potential regional snacks.
hi!! I’ve done a couple trades in years prior, hoping to get some Canadian goodies!
Greater Philadelphia area with access to a Trader Joe’s :)
Hello! This is my first request and I’m probably way too excited. I’m mostly looking for pickled onion monster munches and grenade bars from the UK and food from most parts of Asia. I love to shop and live in a huge area so I have a wide range of snacks I can send from here. I’m hoping to spend around $50 before shipping for each haul but can do more. Please let me know if you’re interested! Thank you!
Hey all, How would one of you like to taste the wide variety of what Sri Lankan snacks offer. Since this will be my first trade I'd like to start off slowly, not too big. PS - I can also add in some excellent quality Ceylon Tea
