I love the Pumpkin Power Meal smoothie from Smoothie King, but 1) its expensive and 2) it won't be around forever. I thin pumpkin + PB is a match made in heaven and should not be overlooked. If you like those 2 things, I highly suggest trying it!
They list the ingredients, some of which I remove or substiute, but not the proportions. Can yall help me figure out how much to use of each ingredient?
I can probably substiute the protein powders for any other protein powder right?
Also I have "pumpkin spice" in my spice cabinet. Would that work for the Spice Blend?
I'll take other recipes with pumpkin + PB in them if you got any! I am not exclusive to the SK one.
I’m wanting to add things like fruits/vegetables to my protein shakes, (it’s currently just chocolate whey protein and water.) but I’ve always been super picky with tastes and trying new foods. Any suggestions for things to add that will help include healthy nutrients into my diet without much taste change would be amazing.
The site has the ingredients listed but I’m looking for exact measurements including the type of plant milk they use. Help please?
What's in it you might ask ? 1 banana , about 150g blackberries , 1 apple , chia seeds , honey and almond milk 🔥🔥
YEARS ago I used to get this delicious smoothie from a coffee stand. I always loved it and took a picture of the menu board, recently I came across this picture and have tried to replicate it. I can’t seem to get the ratios right. I’ve been using frozen avocado and spinach, sometimes fresh or frozen banana, and almond milk instead of soy. Also it’s not as smooth as I remember theirs being, you can see flecks of spinach in mine! Thanks so much!
I would have never thought I would love drinking something that's got avocado and spinach but to be honest all I can taste is the half banana I dropped in there ! 🔥🙈
I have the 900w version, I think I didn't screw the lid properly which led to this
PTPA: Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of plant-based nutrition and recently came across VEEG, an all-in-one superfood that caught my interest. I love how it combines various nutrients in one product, making it easier to enhance my meals.
I’ve been adding it to my smoothies and oatmeal, and I’m curious if anyone else has tried it. What’s your experience been like? Do you have any creative ways to use superfoods in your daily routine? Let’s share our tips and recipes!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Just wanted to share I found out what the actual mix I used to use for my favorite smoothie is!
Turns out it wasn't the Clovis Farm brand!
Its either a juice diluted with a bunch of sweeteners, powders that don't even taste like acai or frozen smoothie packs mixed with a bunch of things.
Has anyone been able to find a high quality acai concentrate? I love the one Jamba Juice uses in their smoothie.
I recently bought a nutribullet 900w, I am not sure if both the upper blades were supposed to be positioned at the same angle or if I am the one who damaged it
It bothers me that petty retail POS systems are prompting for tips everywhere, for situations that don't call for it like getting a monster energy and bag of chips at a to-go hut at the airport.
Today I noticed my local smoothie king uses this tactic too. I bothered to ask the server if they receive these tips that we submit when swiping our payment, and she said no. She was hesitant to explain they try to compensate in some way, but seemed like she was trying not to lose her job.
She ultimately said the owner gets these tips. I tip based on the experience and the owner wasn't the one making my cup today so why does he get tips?
Isn't it illegal to take tips like that?
I feel like we should boycott the company - that's how mad I got about it, the money should go directly to the person making the food or drink, not some ambiguous corporate entity or owner. That's so messed up. It doesn't even warn you that the tips go to the guy that pays rent.
I tipped because I thought it would go to her, for the work she's doing - as it's preparing consumables and seems fair. But am I wrong here or what for being upset about this? Should I call the department of labor on their behalf? Zip code 75007 on Hebron. It could be localized, not sure of the franchise structure but if yours asks for tips - NOOOO!!!!
Hand it to them in cash if anything, until the class action lawsuit pans out or something!
This is the blade from a new nutribullet pro plus 1200 watt blender from Amazon. The blender seems like it works well. It is a bit louder than I expected, but it works better than I thought it would as the nuts and oats seem like they almost completely disappear and are pulverized.
Still, when I first saw the box I was a little skeptical because some of the paint looks like it had been rubbed off on all sides so the box didn’t look exactly new (maybe it was rubbing around during transport?). The box says copyright 2022 and I think inside something said copyright 2023. I’m just trying to figure out if this is a new blender or if I somehow got sent a used/refurbished one. Amazon was the seller and shipper and I got in during the amazon deals day.
It appeared new when I looked at everything in the box except for this blade which looks like it has some very small imperfections in it. Is this normal for a new blade to look like this or has this blade already been used?
I don't think this is the exact smoothie mix, but I used to love a smoothie mix very similar to this. I don't recall there being raspberries though. It would normally turn out purple, not red. It definitely had kale, bananas, strawberries, and blueberries in it.
Anyone have any idea what smoothie I'm taking about? I believe it was either discontinued or stopped being sold at Walmart.
If you do know or just have advice on creating a good smoothie with these ingredients, any idea how I can better recreate it?
I have tried in the past, even when I had some mix left and just added, but it never came out tasting remotely the same.
Bit of a difficult question to articulate, but can anyone recommend any fancy smoothie cookbooks with superfood ingredients - like bee pollen, cocao nibs, spirulina, matcha, that kind of vibe? I’m thinking the kind of smoothies that typically cost $15 or something and not just pure frozen strawberries and banana 😅
I'll leave mine on the charger for multiple hours and it consistently blends for 10 seconds and then displays a solid red light. :( Or it will give me solid orange over and over again (for stuff it should probably be able to blend like frozen blueberries) and then blend for 10 seconds and give me solid red. Only way to reliably get it through a blend cycle is to blend while it's connected to the charger.
I got it in April 2024 and I used to be able to get 2-3 uses out of it before needing a charge but it quickly needed to be charged more often and now it barely works. Gonna reach out about the warranty but just wondering if anyone else has had this issue or how many uses you get before needing to recharge?
Does anyone know how to recreate this at home?
I out my protein smoothie in the fridge, 3 hours later to see this? What happened? It is grapefruit and pineapple.
We are in the market for a new blender. The texture of seeds in smoothies is a problem for one of my family members and ours does not grind berry seeds very well. I would love recommendedations before I go out and but one. Costco has a Vitamix on for $399. Would that do the trick or is it overkill?
0.5 cup plain skyr
50g oats
1 Banana
half cup blueberries / 3 strawberries
2 spoon low fat peanut butter
Some water just to make it thinner
Suggest me something else I should be putting in my smoothie?
Smoothies are considered a nutritious drink that's great for your health and an effective way to beat the heat. That's why a blender is an essential product not just for cafes, but also for every household.
Today, there are many types of blenders available, with popular brands such as Vitamix, Ninja, Breville, BlendTec, Oster,...But, which models are the best choices on the market today?
Size of the Blender
Choose the blender size that fits your needs—big for large gatherings or compact for smaller groups. This will save you time so you can focus on your guests. We offer options for full-size blenders for big groups and personal blenders for intimate settings. If you want to take shakes and smoothies on the go, a portable blender is a great choice.
Consider your countertop space as well. Do you have a large tiki bar, or will you be limited to the kitchen countertop?
Glass or Plastic?
Most high-powered blenders are made of plastic for shatter resistance. However, if you're concerned about stains and odors, glass is a better option. Just ensure the glass jars are shatterproof for safe use.
High-Performing Blades and Motors
The quality of the blades is crucial for achieving a smooth texture. High-powered blenders are necessary for grinding fibrous ingredients effectively. Sharp blades aren’t always required; some less sharp options can still pulverize ingredients efficiently.
Look for blenders with powerful motors capable of liquefying tough fruits and vegetables.
Ability to Crush Ice
A perfect frozen drink requires more than just blending; it needs ice crushing capability. The blenders in this list can effectively crush and pulverize ice, giving you that authentic tiki party experience.
Hi, I am a beginner in making smoothies.
I wanted to add Hemp, flax, & chia seeds to my smoothies but I was confused whether to add them in their ground form or powder form? What one is better according to your experiences (health wise and convenience wise)?
Also, any other seeds I can add to smoothies that are good for health?
