The thing was going like: People used to be with 4 legs, 4 arms, 2 heads... But gods decided to divde everybody in two, and so everyone were then trying to search for their other half that had been seperated (cute thing intended). And then there's that one guy (prob narrator) that can't find his own soulmate, cause "he might have been hit by a bus or something".
The title says it all!
I'm thinking of the one where Zach is depicting two people in bed (of course) and one of them gets turned on by obscure or counterintuitive math facts. I think one of the obscure math turn-ons involved Euler's complex identity...?
Hi Redditors,
Over the past year I've been going on and off checking SMBC and clicking the Random button in the hopes of finding a comic I read 2 ish years ago that was so good I want to buy a print of it. I've tried searching a bunch of keywords I remember from the comic as well but I still can't find it.
It's one of those long comics Zach sometimes makes with a theory of how our use of a technology will lead us to our extinction. In this case, it's big data. The story goes: information about everything we do becomes currency and we become social media addicts, but then the food supply system collapses because farmers aren't working. It ends with "everyone dies"
Please help me end my quest to find this comic (not saying there are other really good SMBC comics, but I do want this search to end for my life to go on)
PS Zach if you're reading this, I'm a huge fan of the golden orb character. He should totally get a book.
The punchline was something like:
... we are forced to conclude that correlation causes causation.
All of my Google-fu is working, but I was able to find other comics that feature correlation & causation as a theme.
Thanks in advance!
If someone could help me find the comic where he talks about people being immortal in the future and looking back at today's time when we rationalize death and making a metaphor for us being in the desert and making a religion out of thirst.
Please help
There was a comic about a phrase that described scenarios that were similar to a catch 22, except the solution to the problem was to not react the way one does to the problem. It basically went like this:
"Voting doesn't change anything, so I don't vote"
"Women don't find me attractive because of my weight, so I eat bacon sandwiches"
"I never do well on tests, so I don't study for them"
Etc....
Thanks for the info
that is a real life account of Zach where he takes a medical examination and swallows a thing and afterwards he wonders why he feels like he deserves a reward, then realises that he has been conditioned to want a reward after something negative happens to him and concludes with speculation about people always suing each other.
ice cream is the reward I believe.
I'm sorry I couldnt be any more specific, but google can't help me.

Please help!
I've searched and searched but can't find this comic anywhere... I'm certain it was SMBC, and it goes something like the following:
Satan and God are discussing how successful humanity has been. Satan can't believe that humans have accomplished anything.
Satan: "I don't get it! You put an orgasm machine in front of them and gave them hands!"
God: "Some of them are greater than that" while looking over at some Apollo astronauts on the moon.
Any help?
I'm pretty sure it took place in a coffee shop with some discussion of a philosopher whose idea was you can't choose not to have what you couldn't have gotten anyway.
The punchline was something like: "I'll have coffee without cream"
"Sorry sir, we're out of cream but you can have it without milk."
I remember Zach was smiling while Kelly was horrified, but have no idea which comic it was
So like a month ago I saw a SMBC comic about introspecting and evil, similar in theme to this one but with the redheaded dude explaining that introspection is the reason they created the ultimate evil robot or something to fight against.
The more I search for it, the more lost I get but now I can't just give up..
I'm remembering a comic where every panel shows a man from a certain time period complaining about some aspect of modern life. I seem to remember that one was a caveman and one was from a victorian time period, but i can't really remember any other details. Does anyone know the one i'm thinking of?
I can't seem to find the comic, from this past year. It compares lower middle class and upper middle class lives. It features a young white male and a young black female, following their life choices through all stages of their lives. If someone could help me locate it, or link it to me, that would be great.
Hey!
I've seen a SMBC strip some time ago, but I can't find it now. It's about somebody spinning in place to slow time to make the night with their friend last longer.
Anyone know which one it was?
