Hello friends,
I realized today that you may not have seen my previous post about making this community private in solidarity with the reddit blackout, due to the visibility settings. My apologies.
My understanding is that if I keep this community private as part of the ongoing protest, I will be removed as moderator.
So I figured instead of being forced out, I will leave out of my own volition, an act of protest against the restrictive measures being imposed on reddit by the site's administrators.
It has been a pleasure exploring a slower pace of life with you all. We are a small, not very active community but it still makes me smile knowing that there remains a group of us passionate about slowing down to find greater peace and joy in life.
Wishing you well!
Hello Slow Living enthusiasts.
In solidarity with the reddit movement to support third party apps to have access to the reddit API without needing to pay large sums of money, I am making this community private indefinitely (until reddit changes it's policies).
It's pretty quiet here and I don't have much inspiration to post content, so I don't think it will really affect many people. But by doing so it adds to the number of communities going private, which will hopefully have an impact on the reddit policy makers.
If you have an issue with this or you want to take over as a mod, send me a message.
Perhaps a break from social media will all do us some good.
May we find enjoyment in the present moment. Cheers!
