i am applying next fall for 2026 and i was wondering how the program is? people who have graduated or currently in it, was it worth it? i saw one person say it was horrible and everything sucked but i want to see if its just a one-off thing or if it’s just not so good.
Hey there, I am still deciding which route to take, I wanna start a new major. I really find interesting in creating websites, but my question which one should I take? AAS in web design would be a great idea, but I won't be able to transfer to Bachelor's degree later on. AS in CSIS would be a good idea, but math is not my cup of tea, up to calculus 1 is fine, I don't wanna go any further.
Hi, I hope my question isn't stupid but can I apply for the spring 2025 semester as a new student? I'm on the application only lets me pick Fall/summer 2025, and id prefer to start classes sooner rather than later.
You guys. There isn’t a stop for the cars that are coming in from S 2200 W, so if they are coming in and turning left onto SLCC Blvd that does not mean you can just cut them off and go assuming they will stop or turn right 😭 please WAIT at the stop sign until you are sure it’s clear!
I do know that there were state-wide tuition increases, but I'm seeing that even for UT residents, it's $387.00 per credit hour and over 1200.00 for non-residents. I was planning on moving and establishing residency, but that would still mean 1200.00 per credit hour for a year. Am I just mis-reading the tuition fee chart or is this accurate?
Anyone have notes or previous exam copies to help with passing this class. I am really struggling!! I am taking this accelerated course with professor Camille Paxman. I don’t know what I was thinking! :-/
I can’t find an answer to this anywhere, I got credit for a D in the past, but will D- count? I need to know how screwed I am with my Quantitative Lit class.
update: I ended up dropping it after talking with my advisor and I'm going to take the CLEP test instead
Good morning! Curious if our school ID gets us access anywhere to swim. Front desk and the SLCC rec center said no such thing, but figured I’d double check with you fine folks.
I need MATH1010 professor recommendations please. Dropped my old one cause I wasn’t learning ANYTHING and had to teach myself. This is a legit SOS as I need an A for this class in spring.

I just failed my second exam in Chem 110. I now have an F in the class, and I feel so discouraged right now. I need to at least pass with a C- and I just feel like it’s impossible.
Any tips or tricks to help understand it?
I need to take Anatomy and physiology over the summer.Main campus is too far away to my house I need to take an hours and half to go to. So I try to squeeze all classes to one day. Including anatomy lecture and it's lab and physiology lecture and it's lab I found out I can squeeze all classes including their labs in one day. But I have to take classes starting from 9am- 7:30pm. I don't know how helpful the lecture will be and if the schedule I mentioned will be really bad or not Also I am wondering if the professor will have TA in the class? And do they have office hours over summer?
Hi everyone,
We are conducting a research study at the University of Utah to understand the daily life experiences of ethnic minority college students. Interested individuals do not need to be students at the U of U, just ethnic minority college students in Utah.
In this study, participants will answer some questions on their phones 3x a day for 2 weeks and can make up to $75.
Eligible participants must be 1) 18-30 years old and 2) undergraduate college students who identify as an ethnic minority.
Please email us at kiran.kaur@psych.utah.edu to learn more! :)
Thanks so much!
I was looking through the current clubs and didn't see a TTRPG/TCG/Board game club. I've been wanting to play, so it's there one? Or any interest in joining/starting one?
Anyone know if the job fair is actually worth attending? I mean like are the employers gonna be asking for 5 yrs experience at a 2 year college lol
Earlier this June I applied for the fall 2024 semester and was notified that I was classified as a non-resident. Im a massive procrastinator (as a result of mental issues I’ve developed over the past two years) and didn’t really start thinking about any of it until august. I tried to figure everything out in a single month and after cramming to figure out all the college stuff and figure out residency the date to submit residency had already passed. In September I kinda just gave up with all of it because I wasn’t at all sure of what to do and kinda just gave up, I didn’t end up registering for classes so that’s all good, but me not being in school is causing a great deal of stress for my family. I want to apply for the spring 2025 semester and fix my residency issue. As far as residency goes, how do I apply for the spring 2025 semester and let them know that I am in fact a resident of Utah and have been so for the past ten years? I don’t think I can use the “residency Classification Application” because the tax forms I have to submit are messed up because my mom who lives in Florida claimed me as a dependent despite the fact I don’t live with her, I’m not sure if how that’s even legal and allowed to happen, but it did. On the application it asks if you’ve been claimed by your parent and what state theyre from, so how do I tell them my mom falsely claimed me as a dependent when I apply for spring 2025? Also I have proof that I’ve been here the past 12 months through bank statements, but I receive my statements at my grandparents address and not my own, so I assume that conflicts with everything as well. In sum, when I apply for spring 2025 how do I prove my residency? I still obviosly have to select that my mom claimed me as a dependant on the application so i dont lie. I’m so lost here and in quite a bit of stress, any advice would be appreciated. apologies that this is so disorganized im just so lost.

Both of my classes did this this semester and I was just wondering if it was a schoolwide thing or just a coincidence; I really like when a teacher opens an online class early because I can get ahead or at least read the syllabus and prepare. Every class I’ve been in before this opened at least 24 hours early.
This year though both of my online classes opened at exactly midnight last Tuesday. It’s been a really stressful start to the semester. I’m just trying to get a sense if this is SLCC policy now. Who do I complain to?!
My company is hiring for a marketing internship and I figured I'd post it here in case anyone is looking.
You'll be able to find the job post in SLCC's Handshake if you search Job # 9082854. Flexible hours, $15 an hour and qualifies for internship credits.
I'm looking for a device to purchase for all of my school work and I found the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ as a main contender. One of my classes requires me to have the lockdown browser and was wondering if the s9 tab was compatible or not since all my research is telling me that the lockdown browser is not compatible with any android systems.
I wanna drop lure modules around campus pokestops but idk if anyone else still plays this game and would actually benefit from them. I usually hang out around the CT, AAB, and STC buildings so if you see one in use, it's probably me 🫡
Anyways sorry for being an absolute loser but happy first day of classes to all!!
Has anyone received their financial aid refund yet? In past semesters I’ve received at least some of my refund before classes even start, but this time around I haven’t received anything yet and classes start tomorrow. Just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this.
I cannot find anything on the dress code for classes. I’m taking general Ed classes right now, is there any dress code for those?
I’m newer to SLCC, is it common to have your professor change from the one you chose? I originally had a great biology professor, however I just got an email that it switched at the last second
There’s a class I want to take but the waitlist is full should I go in to class like a “waitlist student” (even though I’m not registered in the waitlist) and talk to the professor. Has anyone tried this?
Principle of public speaking.
All the professors are rated pretty poorly on rate my professor. Has anyone taken this and liked any of them?
I'm a new student attending SLCC this fall at the Millar Campus. I'm not living in the dorms, but while attending school I will also be working full time. My job starts an hour after my afternoon class, and I am wondering if there are showers avaliable on campus I could use to get ready for work?
I filled out the general scholarship application a few months ago and was wondering if anyone knew when we would be notified if we are awarded scholarships? I have been checking my school email like crazy because I am anxious about paying for this falls tuition. Thank you for any input!
If you have any personal projects save them and start pirating the software because slcc is terminating it’s all access adobe and on aug 13th you cloud data will be gone
