Bringing Morrowind to Skyrim.
Skywind is a full ground-up recreation of The Elder Scrolls III in the Skyrim: Special Edition engine, telling the same stories with the same locations and characters that you remember, but with all the benefits of a modern engine.
Skywind is not just a mod for Skyrim. It is love, filtered through blood, sweat and tears on a mission to recreate the wonderful world of Morrowind in the Creation Engine.
With hundreds of contributors from all over the world, the Skywind division of TESRenewal is the single biggest modding team of all time.
Not everyone hangs on throughout the journey of this mod's creation but their efforts will not be forgotten and their legacy will live on!

Swing by to watch as we guide you to never-before-seen locations while answering questions from the chat! But wait, there's more: Included is the Twitch after-party where we went off-script and wandered around the map while answering more questions.
The Creation Mod Con 2024 starts tomorrow! See where your favorite Skyrim mod project lines up in the schedule. (Hint: it should be the last one on day 2 ;) )

Skywind is looking for voice actors of all genders - please audition on Casting Call Club here, where you’ll find the audition scripts and requirements: tesrskywind.com/ccc
It is with great pleasure that the Skywind team is now ready to open up our next round of casting! Our writing team has spent the last year hard at work wrapping up our final remaining scripts, and while a few final characters are still being tweaked, the vast majority are now ready to cast. Casting will remain open and active until all available scripts are assigned. Typical roles have between 400-1200 lines, depending on the character.
Want to audition? Head to our CCC and scroll down the page to our list of open roles. Record the provided audition script in raw, unprocessed 16 bit WAV (no noise removal or EQ, etc.). Don’t forget to record both the dialogue and combat sections - and really scream for the combat, we want to believe you’re in a life or death situation!
Note that our audio requirements are on the higher side as 90% of rejections are due to failing our audio benchmark - we usually require an XLR mic with an interface and pop filter (buying used is encouraged), and your recording environment should be a soft, reverb free space, like a walk-in closet or blanket fort. With that said, everyone is welcome to apply.
We only reach out to successful candidates on CCC, but everyone can ask for feedback in the auditorium channel of our Discord server here: https://discord.gg/cP4zMJPgGot any questions? Head on over to our Discord and pop them in the volunteer-questions channel. We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully working together soon!
Note: These are unpaid, volunteer roles, as this is an unpaid community mod project.
Thanks for playing along with our April Fool's Day prank. We are, in fact, not pivoting to the Starfield engine.
We are, however, back on the very latest version of the Skyrim engine, thanks to some gruelling work by our Coding team, and of the Creation Kit, thanks in part to the CKPE team 💌
Now back to your regularly scheduled project updates. There's also more of the Concept-to-Asset video series on the horizon, and a bigger progress video is being worked on as we speak. Onwards and upwards! 🚀
