Collecting examples of when Siri — the "personal assistant" by Apple — fails to work as intended (which is so frequently, we created a subreddit for it). The results are both hilarious and depressing.

Homepod Mini has lately just been "one moment - one moment - I'm having trouble… more info in the Home app". But there is no more info in the home app. Nor is there any reason my Awatch or iPhone couldn't complete the task I asked for.
Why does a Siri unit - knowing it isn't working - insist on responding, and my other devices pretend they're not there?
This has happened to me a few times, and just happened again. As a software engineer with over 30 years of experience, I have a knack for imagining failure modes - why Siri does some of the dumb stuff she does. But I still can't conceive what could be wrong with the system that would cause it to do this.
Scenario:
How could there be a good enough network connection for music to stream uninterrupted, but not good enough for her to send the recording of my voice to the Siri server? And why don't they put processing of really basic commands like "stop" on the device itself?
In the end, whenever this happens I just have to laugh, and then get up to go tap the HomePod on its stupid little head.
Anyone else have this happen on their HomePod?
I mean “saving”
Me: Siri set a timer for 5 hours
Siri: Done
Me: *remembers that I set it 2 hours too early
Me: Ok, increase the time by 2 hours
Siri: Set a timer for 2 hours
Me: Siri go F yourself
Siri: For how long?
Me: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) What?
Ever since I purchased my new iPhone 11, Siri has been doing this annoyingly frustrating thing where she will randomly cut herself off right in the middle of a sentence, and my phone will vibrate shortly like she's waiting for a response. When I haven't even said anything. For example, Cohen, if I ask Siri to give me directions to the nearest gas station, she will reply with- 'one option I found is(blank) and it gets four stars on yelp. Does that one sound good?' But before she even finishes the senates, She just cuts herself off, and my phone will ding like it's waiting for me to answer. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens frequently enough that it's driving me nuts. Also, there have been a few different times where I will be talking to someone out loud within a couple minutes of asking Siri, a question, and all of the sudden she will start talking and give her a response to a random part of my conversation. It's like she starts listening at random moments, but only listens for a few seconds, and then cuts off. I don't know what it is, but it is a definite glitch, and I don't know how to fix it. Or if it even can be fixed. Either way, I can't help but wonder how much privacy I actually have with Apple products. I've always used iPhones and I've never had this issue or any issue like it. Before I got this phone, I had an iPhone SE, the one that was made right before the iPhone 11. Never had an issue with it. But, I just purchased this iPhone 11 about six months ago and it's been happening since I got it out of the box and turned it on. Every time I try to Google, it seems like it's happening because of an update. But I have tried factory, resetting and everything and it still does not work. I have surfed through all the settings, trying to figure out some thing that would cause it. I have googled and can't find anything. Please help!
Hi! I have an IPhone 15 and it’s updated, but I don’t seem to be able to use Siri. Every time I call her she listens, but when I ask something or say anything at all she simply ignores and shut down. When I googled it I’ve seen some website saying I’m supposed to reset my phone, but I don’t wanna do it…What can I do then? Somebody help!!

Hey there, I have an issue regarding Siri , My 3pl company website's number is dialed by Siri when an apple user asks Siri to call amazon prime even though this contact is not related with amazon prime at all. On asking the callers why did they call , they responded that they called Amazon prime to cancel their subscription/ other purposes but ended up contacting us. I have used google search operators to lookup our contact numbers associated with amazon prime but all of them resulted in no association. I tried contacting apple support but due to country barrier, I could not. There is no public email address of customer support of apple. Kindly help me in resolving this as my sales team is fed up of these unnecessary calls.
Me: Hey Siri, when is the next leap year? Siri HomePod: It will begin in 2032
Me: Hey Google, when is the next leap year? Google Speaker: Leap year began on 1 January …
So, I was just listening a TikTok story of a deaf man calling his sister via Siri. He said "Hey Siri, call Daphne".
Suddenly my phone opens Siri and I read "Hey Siri, call Jeffrey". I frantically try to stop Siri from calling this Jeffrey-person (I honestly didn't even know I had someone named Jeffrey in my contacts, but here we are😂).
Let me say, I failed in blocking Siri, Jeffrey was called for a good full second. I blocked Jeffrey to avoid weird text conversations or him calling me back. I mean, I have no clue who Jeffrey is, but what if he still remembers me? Nah, not having that. 😂 Sorry Jeffrey.
So when I ask Siri to play “Queen’s greatest hits” it always plays Shallow by lady gaga and Bradley Cooper. Without fail. You can try it right now and she will do that. My conspiracy brain makes me think it is some sort of gag that a Siri engineer has programmed in. What do you think?
Considering how inaccurate Siri is, there needs to be a delay or confirmation before s/he launches a phone call.
I was driving around late looking for a place to eat the other night and asked Siri, "What time does Lee's Sandwiches close?"
Siri responded, "Calling Lisa Xie..." and it immediately started ringing the phone of a friend three hours ahead of me and waking her up.
Thanks, Siri.
Hey siri, directions to Lunds.
Siri: here are directions to caribou coffee.
🤦♂️
The Siri team Needs to be fired.
It’s true…. It’s an answer…
