Buster Keaton’s magnum opus & his personal favourite, “The General,” 1926 was filmed in Cottage Grove, OR - he arrived there 98 years ago tomorrow. Buster was truly in his element, retelling Pittenger’s great locomotive chase. It is a film that still ranks highly a century on.

Buster Keaton never trained harder than he did for “Battling Butler,” 1926. A case of mistaken identity that ends up in the boxing ring & resolved outside of it - the movie was a knock-out hit ;)

Buster Keaton had a devil of a time getting those steers to chase him, but he did indeed steer them into a chase in “Go West,” 1925 - a simple tale of a boy & his cow.

I found out something about Allure

Several months ago, I found a film reel at my local st Vincent DePaul. I just recently got the film conserved and when I watched it (Allure) for the first time, I was in for a shock. The 4 short film collection started innocently enough with a swimsuit competition. Keep in mind They are silent films that never saw the light of the Internet before. The next 3 short films however, got increasingly provocative with the women in the films stripping down nude and it left me traumatized. I'm afraid if I post it on YouTube, it might get me demonized with an 18+ rating. What do I do?

“Seven Chances,” 1925, is the movie Buster Keaton felt was only saved by a chase! The script was pushed on him & when test audiences watched, he didn’t hold out much hope, but big laughs at some dislodged rocks coming after him gave him the idea that ultimately made it a comedy masterpiece.

I'm looking for a scene where someone holds a small bird in his hands

A few years ago I saw a silent movie scene where somebody holds a small bird in his palms and I have no idea what it was and I have no other memory of the movie. Does anyone knows what could it be?
