Looking for a few good story arcs? Try these:

RULES

  1. Tag all potential spoilers! Right now this is limited to the upcoming film Shazam: Fury of the Gods (2022) and Black Adam (2022). The first movie and any previous comic issues are fair game!
  2. Be kind to each other. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated. Let's keep this a cool place where we can everyone celebrate The Big Red Cheese and invite newcomers as well.
  3. Try to avoid low-effort posts. We want to share in each other's excitement, but something like "Upvote if you like Shazam!" is weak. You can do better than that!
  4. No spam/self-promotion. This is a larger, general reddit rule, but don't constantly post to your own website or YouTube channel. However, we do have a day for this: Self-Promo Sundays! Just post on Sunday and use the appropriate tag on your post. Same rule goes for reposts of official trailers, etc. Please link to primary sources (e.g. DC's YouTube channel).
  5. Keep it safe for work (SFW). He may look older as Shazam, but Billy Batson is a kid. So are most of the Shazamily.
  6. No piracy or pirated materials. If someone wants to know where to find an issue or paperback, feel free to point them to a local or online store you like.
  7. The holy war between who gets to be called "The Real Captain Marvel" has been settled by DC and Marvel. Let's not rehash it. Instead, let's fight over whether not he's a superhero or a music app!
  8. Any links to media discussing the Shazamily, but not specifically about them, (e.g. a segment on a podcast versus an interview with Zachary Levi) should be linked directly to the content. So if you post a YouTube video, link directly to the segment at hand instead of posting the whole thing. It respects member's time and gets them to the good stuff even faster!
  9. No sales, marketing, affiliate links, links to Facebook pages that link to deals, etc. No slack on this one. You will be banned.

Note: We are not affiliated in any way with DC Comics. We're a fan community and do not represent their official views, policies, etc.

Which 90s era issue is this?

I'm trying to find a Captain Marvel issue that revolves around Mary believing a cop attempted to rape her. I am pretty certain it was from the 1990s.

Is this a Back to the Future reference? Because it would be total fire if my favorite DC hero referenced my favorite movie ever.

What have been your opinions on the new series?

I am a major Captain Marvel fan, which pains me to say this, but I haven't really been jiving with this new series, but I want to hear your thoughts. What are your comments, complaints, concerns, praises, etc?

Absolute Universe?

What would you guys like to see out of an Absolute Universe version of Captain Marvel a.k.a Shazam? What could they change about his lore and look to change it up?
