There's an episode in the first season where Mickey talks about murdering rapists and pedophiles.

Then it's clear that Terry is into Debs when Mandy does her makeup.

Then there is the revelation that Terry has been raping Mandy and he impregnated her. Then it just gets dropped and never talked about again.

Then a few episodes later the Gallagher boys decide to beat up a pedophile they found on the internet. And who do they recruit to help them?! Terry! A fucking pedophile!

Rewatching… again and the stairs that lead to the second floor in Kev and V’s house scares the shit out of me. Other houses have the solid stairs and they have that wobbly looking set of stairs. This is a random post but I wanted to say this.

In season 5 she asks Ian about steroids and then when she threatened hollie in the school bathroom, hollie said “hormonal much?” I also feel like Debbie also got more impulsive and stuff in season 5 as well, so is it possible that she was on steroids?

I'm going to say if I really like Carl's new partner way more than his last one he's a big pussy he's funny teaches him real stuff making sure he's not going to do anything stupid you like get himself killed

(side note I kind of like Frank and Franny together I don't know why it just seems nothing cares about her really even more than ever since Frank right)

Something I started noticing with time is that the only child Frank has actually fatherly feelings & love for (in his messed up way) is Fiona. Throughout the seasons if he talks fondly about past times with the family it usually is a memory with Fiona and when he had his delirium after surgery he saw Fiona in this little girl and apologized. Or when Bianca died the only child he wanted to know that he loves her deeply was Fiona. I could continue, but the others seem more like a „hey bud“ relationship to him and Lip & him even barely talk. (Would also explain Fionas messed up relationship patterns in a way)

When he tries having sex with Fiona in the kitchen and she says “I can’t.” His dumb mansplainy fake deep monologue about “most of the worlds problems are caused by two words” or whatever. Cannootttttt with him

Tami is my least favourite character out of everyone on the show (even frank😭😭😭) I wanna know if anyone ACTUALLY likes her & plssss tell me why. I have no clue why they added a character like her in the mix. She doesnt mesh well with Lip at all & as shitty as Lip can get, I genuinely believe he deserved better. Is this an unpopular opinion?????

It’s somewhere in S9 I think, and Lip was introducing Tami and Farhad, and she literally just says “don’t care-had”.

Like I didn’t have a problem with her until then, not even when she keeps interrupting the priest and just brushes aside the fact that Lip and his friend were recovering alcoholics. Her actions in the future episodes are childish but she pushes Lip to be better; but I still can’t help but dislike her because of that one scene.

Idk, that just bothered me so much.

Lip genuinely is not smart, he was just good at high school.

Ford was way too overhated. He was constantly right and tried to warn Fiona, emotionally mature, and interesting. Sure he was technically married but why are we acting like Fiona hasn't cheated on over half of the people she's been with in the show?

Sean was genuinely one of the worst characters in the entire show

I know the entire point is the characters are supposed to have bad luck and it's "realistic" but sometimes it verges on bad and unrealistic writing. I guess my problem is the characters are never allowed to have a permanent positive change and anytime they get an opportunity they mess it up in literally the dumbest way possible. Like Lip, the only reason he got kicked out of college was because he decided to take a PHOTO of the COLLEGE PROFESSOR he was sleeping with. Frank getting fired from his Job, Fiona losing the investment, Ian blowing up the truck, etc. It just feels so forced that characters always have to end up constantly losing good opportunities somehow even when everything was lined up perfectly. The only characters who really have a positive arc across the entire show are Kev and V. Maybe Ian. It's like after season 3 nothing good ever happens

I ship Ian and Mickey as much as the next guy, but it seems like a lot of people tend to ignore the toxicity in their relationship. There were multiple instances of domestic violence but i feel like since it’s 2 men and not a man and woman, we just see it as 2 guys fighting and we forget that they are in a relationship. Also i might get downvoted for this but this sub def be putting Mickey on a pedestal.

100+ hours later... Having that post show depression...

Don’t get me wrong, Shameless is funny as hell and I love the comedy woven into the dialogue. But the show was strongest in its moments of heaviness—Monica’s mental health crises, Frank/Lip/Fiona’s alcohol addiction, Fiona’s legal struggles, etc. I also loved the more lighthearted storylines too like the Gallavich romance, but I could really do without the “what shenanigans will Frank get into next??” plot lines. Things like Frank’s homeless competition, Ian’s gay Jesus, Frank deceiving the liver guy, etc just brought the show down a few notches imo. Side note: I love Frank as a character but he didn’t need such ridiculousness to be interesting!

Yall needa stop acting like Fiona is a victim n everyone else is out to get her. She’s been thru a lot n didn’t have alot of opportunities yes, but she’s a fck up. And more often than not , does some really bad shit n doesn’t take accountability for it & neither do her weirdo busted fanbase. Literally will excuse her doin coke in a house full of kids and claim Robbie raped her instead calling it what is it, she’s self destructive and fcked up just like everyone else. Within the house she’s prolly second or third worst lol

At the end of the day, especially after watching the show 10+ times I believe that the only girl that lip truly loved during the show was Karen. That being said, I think Karen also caused him to truly never love another girl again, and I believe that is evident in every single relationship Lip involves himself in. I mean, for example, when Tami got pregnant, she asked lip if he loved her but lip told Tami that he could learn to love her. After that, you never hear Tami and him exchange the words I love you or talking about how they love each other, I believe, lip could never seriously put himself into a relationship again, I could be wrong, but I truly think the outcome of him and Karen‘s relationship projected every outcome of every other relationship he was in in the show. The only woman that lip ever vocalized his love for was Karen and Helene but never Tami. I don’t know. I guess what I’m saying is overall is that lip is shitty in relationships and doesn’t genuinely like the woman he is with, especially after Karen.

I’ve been scrolling through here for a few minutes now and only have seen like one person talk about it. Why does almost nobody talk about it? Mandy literally forced herself onto him and nobody seems to talk about it? I know there’s quite a few people who don’t even realize that it was rape. But the people who do know seem to just pretend it didn’t happen or something. Everyone hates debbie& Karan for the same thing they should hate Mandy for.

So earlier today I did a deep dive on the Chrisley family case where Todd Chrisley and his Wife were accused of fraud and sentenced to federal prison for a number of years. The reason this stood out to me was because they were ratted out by Todd's oldest daughter who was jealous because the family had decided to cut her out of the show because she was a negative Nancy and always had a bad attitude, she is literally a real life version of Sammi and her son is almost a replica or Chuckie. So whether we want to believe it or not there are actual people out there just like Sammi who get angry and rat people out for prison it's so sad to see.

Is Frank anyone else's favorite character? I feel like his plot lines are always super interesting and I really love the scenes when he bonds with the kids (even though its usually for some nefarious scheme). I know he's a horrible person obviously but I just love Frank lol.

Started watching a few days ago, I'm currently on S5E6 and I'm so annoyed by Fiona's sudden desire to fuck things up for herself.

I've forgotten their names (sorry) but she finally gets a great office job with benefits, and falls for her boss who is, for once a good, stable and reliable guy but what does this girl do? FUCKS HIS BROTHER. OVER AND OVER AGAIN. And eventually gets arrested because of him.

She gets released from prison and gets involved with the brother again, causing her to violate her parole and land in prison AGAIN.

Fast forward to her getting that job at the diner and meeting this musician (Gus) who she marries after only a few weeks of knowing him?? Very responsible of her, I really don't see this lasting at all.

BUT THEN Jimmy/Steve comes back and she cheats on Gus with him - TWICE.

I can't with this girl. I do empathise with her because of how she's had to grow up but she needs to take some fucking accountability and get her shit together fuck 😫

i haven’t finished watching the show actually im currently at S9 so i dont know if he will eventually make a comeback later (even tho i believe his las appearance was on S6) so i will talk about jimmy on the earlier seasons.

so i dont know if anyone feels the same but I HATED him the whole time he was with fiona till the last appearance he made on the show. no hate on the actor, but the character was absolutly horrible to me. his whole behavior got me thinking « run away fiona and run away fast, because that man is a walking red flag. and him covering you in gifts won’t make them disappear » every time he appeared on my screen. couldn’t explain with more details without rewatching the earlier seasons (which i will obviously not do before i finish watching it for the first time) but i guess you know what i’m referring to.

but then, when i first joined the sub, i made a great discovery : most people actually appreciate him a lot, like saying it was their favorite fiona’s boyfriend. i really dont understand.

ofc i’m not judging you if you appreciate him, but i just need to understand why.

Mickey undoubtedly (in my opinion) has the best HEART of anyone in the show. He has been my consistent favorite character for many reasons. 2ne time watcher but I guess I never saw his diamond in the rough personality before. Him taking care of his horrible dad after accidentally shot by Liam's stray bullet, loving Ian throughout all of his mania, beating people up because they spoke ill or Mandy. What's your favorite "Mickey Moment"?
