Anybody know of any bars, restaurants, venue's, etc, that are showing the Election?
Anyone know how/where I can sign up to decorate Rose Floats this year? I did it when I was a kid and loved it, but it was though Girl Scouts so I’m not sure how they arranged everything.
Hi there! I’m in the process of planning my wedding. I have about 75-100 guests. I want to avoid the big ball room banquet halls like 888 or NBC (just not the vibe for me). So far Newport Seafood aesthetically fits the bill. I’m wondering if anyone on here have had their wedding reception there or have been there for a wedding reception. What was your experience like? What’s the cost like? Do they allow djs/alcohol?
Can anyone recommend a reliable shop that can replace a windshield on a Mazda SUV. I prefer to use an OEM windshield.
Got referred to a shop with good reviews in Pasadena and they tried to initially charge me $1400 for a tire change and alignment. After fighting with them the price magically dropped to $700 once all the extra stuff came away, then to $300 after the OTHER extra stuff came away. I just want a trustworthy shop where I don’t have to constantly keep my guard up on being up-scammed man… preferably in Alhambra/Monterey Park.
Edit: I drive a Toyota
Hello there! I’m a woman in her 30’s who has been dealing with hashimotos and other health related issues including rashes, hormone issues, etc…My current doctor is probably one of the worst I’ve had to deal with from the office staff, to billing, etc.. I’m looking for someone who accepts insurance and is willing to take the time to discuss results and not dismiss symptoms I have. Especially someone who is familiar with hashimotos and women issues in general. I’ve found many doctors who look like they could help but it turns out they are naturopathic and REALLY expensive and unfortunately that’s just not in my budget. I’m located near Pasadena, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Monterey Park area. Any recommendations help!
Tacos, burritos, enchilada, tamales….. that’s the extent of my Mexican food knowledge. I want to explore more, but whenever I try to, the menu options are so abundant that I get overwhelmed and don’t know where to start… and end up defaulting to one of the food items above.
I’m hoping to get some recommendations on good Mexican places in the SGV area, along with recommendations on what exactly to order to start branching out 🙏 I’m not picky and I have yet to encounter food that I absolutely hate, other than natto.
Like a strong one made of real wood. Seems like most of the ones commonly sold are lightweight plywood or imitation plastic wood.
Actually a really cute and fun tour. Love their account and that he’s giving some love to Monrovia and El Monte. Was hoping he might find some hidden gems but I guess that will have to happen on the next go around.
Curious to hear what other people think, too! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFbkPU8L/
What’s with the weird sulfur smell? Smelled in Monrovia, Duarte, West Covina and Rosemead so far.
Hey SGV!
I just moved to this sweet spot from the coast and love how clean the streets are, how affordable housing is, and being closer to Big Bear for winter skiing. But for everyday stuff, it feels like there's not much to do besides grabbing boba or food. While I’m into that, I’d love to know what fun hobbies or routines y'all enjoy around here. Any ideas? I'm 35m btw.
I want to gift my sister in law’s family some type of annual membership this year for Christmas. Does anyone have any suggestions?
They have 2 adults, 10 y/o, and a 6 y/o in their family and live in Covina area. They already have a SkyZone pass.
Here are some of my ideas:
Raging Waters (San Dimas) - $130 per basic pass; I’d have to buy one adult gold pass for $150 to include parking. Total comes out to $540
Huntington library (San Marino) - $175 for the whole family. Not bad! They had this pass when their first kid was little.
LA Arboretum (Arcadia) - $95 for the whole family. I read reviews that Huntington is better though
AMC A-List (many locations) - 12 months is $285/person, which is out of my budget. 3 months is $73/person, but doesn’t seem worth it since kids are in school right now. I feel like it’d be a good gift in the summer perhaps.
Kidspace Musuem (Pasadena) - $245 for the whole family pass. I think their oldest wouldn’t enjoy this as much, but the younger sibling would like it.
CodeNinjas (West Covina) - this would be for the kids only. $200/4x a month.. yikes

Looking for reasonably priced karaoke spots in the SGV for small groups of two to three people.
That was fun.
my parents are both seniors and they are completely overwhelmed by how medicare works and all the different plans and fee options. is there some type of program to help them navigate this?
Hey, was wondering if there were any vet places in the SGV that'll fix cats for cheap? Taking care of some strays rn
The cat distribution system put this one in a tree and now he’s in my house. Any suggestions for cat vets in the El Monte/SGV Area?
Hi
I live in Temple City and recently started working in Santa Monica. During rush hour, my commute by car usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, which feels a bit too long. I’m wondering if anyone has tips on how to cut down on that commute time?
I’ve been thinking about vanpooling or using public transportation, but I’m not sure which would be more efficient or reliable. Does anyone have experience with this route, or any other suggestions to make the commute quicker? I’m open to carpooling or any creative solutions as well.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
I work in schools and my candy jar empties at least once a month. White Rabbit is a hit, but ordering online can take a long time and the Asian markets my family shops at (in West Covina/Hacienda Heights) either don’t carry it or only have small bags. Does anyone know of other options?
Hi SGV Redditors. I have a friend who has asked me to help sell her furniture in her storage unit located in West Covina. Does anyone know anybody who does this type of estate sale? I've called around to some local businesses that do consignments but they're only interested in antique or other super high value pieces, which these are not.
Any good dentists you guys recommend in El Monte or near El Monte?
