Just downloaded GGPO (mobile) and I want to play 3S, but I can't seem to find the roms anywhere. And if I do find one, (whether from Fightcade or somewhere else) they just don't work for some reason. Anyone got them? (The ROMS I need are sfiii3.zip and sfiii3r1.zip)
I am extremely biased because of hours spent on kens stage in training mode maybe but I can’t really say I hate any of the tracks, bonus gills theme is probably at the top of insanely good / credits and sf3 main theme with infinite is separate but I fucking love it too even though i got motherfuckers in my ear telling me the lyrics are corny
Hi, I'm a new third strike player, I moved from ggst. When learning the game I'm having a hard time with the strict input register of third strike as I'm used to the lenient input from modern fighting games. I'm having trouble on inputting the double quarter circle motion within 5 frames to cancel a normal into a super. I have no trouble doing that on an arcade stick but now my only choice is to play on an office keyboard. So most of the time when trying to input a super within the 5 frames window I always messed up into ⬇️ ↘️ ⬇️ ↘️ ➡️. I know most of the advice gonna be "just practice" and I'm fine with that, but do you guys have any tips on the input or practice methods for higher effectiveness? I can input this consistently within 10 frames but to cancel from a normal I can rarely do it.
So which of these is better. I don't really mean in game for like combos or damage I mean which is cooler. KKZ is cool af but demon has a special bg for when it finishes so this is kinda difficult for me
So I've been using keyboard since I started but the weird type. I used arrow keys and asd/zxc for attacks. I started with these because these are the default controls but now that I know a lil bit more, I realize that the few number of keyboard users use WASD for movement. Since I've been using arrow keys for like a year now, it's really difficult to make the switch. So keyboard users: how many of you use arrow keys? Have you switched to WASD and does it feel better? Also I'm struggling to find any resources about SJCs so any tips on that would help. Thanks everyone!
Thats it, the player count in fightcade gone from 900-ish to 500 in a few months, why?
As you probably know, in third strike intro, we can hear in some moments a girl screaming « threeeeeeeeeeeee yeaaaaah ! ». You can also hear it better in the first seconds of the official third strike theme by Infinite. Is this shout a sample ? Does it come from sample disc ? Or infinite made it for this song ? I really want to know bout that and maybe find the original sample to have that girl shouting three for myself gang 🔥
Just showcasing my lunchbreak habits LOL
Not much but gave me a good buzz haha
Ultimately, I know that you should just choose whichever character is most appealing (regardless of tiers). But I can't see any reason to use Alex outside of casual matches, it seems like out of all the low tiers he has the least interesting toolset.
Weak command grab, no notable confirms or mid-range game, only one viable Super Art, no interesting gimmick (Stun Gun Trap falls off at higher levels)...is there something he brings to the table that other low tier characters do not? I'm thinking about moving towards Hugo as the grappler option at this point, and just leaving Alex in the dust.
Hello everybody,
I know that there is a lot of material out there, I've been through it but I'm still a soul in search for answers.
There are a couple of things that I wasn't able to find anywhere, although I see that, at least one of this technique, is doable.
Interrupt Ken SA3 to cancel into something else
Executing a SA3 right after the first one, I quote a guide where I've read this
"Ken can follow up with another SA3 if his first one is blocked. The advantage here is that because of the invincibility window, your Super Art 3 may blow through your opponent's counter attack as they attempt to punish you. Some moves will still beat out a follow up SA3 though, especially if your opponent pulls out a Reversal Super.
The timing to pull off another SA3 after the first one is blocked — leaving almost no open window — is fairly strict and it costs you an additional Super bar."
Does anybody know the right timing for this?
Thank you, have a nice day!

I’m trying to do Makoto’s touch of stun combo and I can’t get her DP done correctly as it whiffs every time. Any advice on how to counter this?
