For those that bought serum thru splice(years ago) and have gotten a new cpu, where do you find the serial number? I can’t remember where it would be either on splice’s site somewhere or somewhere else
Can’t seem to find the right wave tables or synthesis method to recreate this main wub bass from “get to you” by Mersiv. Super sick sound that I’d like to learn how to make. If anyone has any pointers let me know!
he's using windows and im using Mac
would it be possible to have it on both at the same time?
So I have a bunch of my Splice presets (at the moment i'm at 400 presets... yeah I know) and I would like to organise them per "kind" so "Bass" "lead" "pluck" "pad" etc...
It would take me a really long time to listen to each preset and the go the the folder on my pc and move it to a deeper folder inside de splice preset folder.
At the moment 1 go through them one by one finding that one preset I remember I downloade some time ago but don't know the name of it.... takes ages.
Anyone found a nice way to organise these per "soundgenre" ?
Or am I going to spend a day or 2 going through all my presets and classifying them manually?
Thanks
does any1 have it? if so dm pls

How can I recreate the melody in the first 10 seconds of the song? It sounds like a guitar pluck and I want to know if there is a specific wavetable I could utilize to do the job.

Does anyone know how to make this siren Travis has in the very beginning of the video?
The title says it all, please and thank you
Title basically says it.
I'm wondering if there is a way to accurately pitch/key map the pitch played on the key board to the FM knob , accurately.
What I mean by that is, is that it's been rather obvious that the range of the (FM Dist) knob, has an effect related to a specific frequency or frequency range... Lower value relates more to low freqs and the high value of the knob effects and accentuates the high end freqs.
It seems like you would map the voicing/pitch control to the FM knob? but it would really be most dependent upon the spread of the effect?
The goal is to get pitch aligned more less harmoniously to the correct "location" a long the FM knob, which may just be a matter of tinkering.
Any other input?
Hoping this makes sense
Does anyone know if the note repeat button on a pad controller works in serum? Do i need to change any settings to get it to work? The note repeat works fine on samples in fl and other plug ins. Im using akai mpd218 in fl studio if that helps.
anybody know which one?
As the title suggests I have FL Studio and Serum through Splice downloaded on my hard drive but for some reason Serum has decided it wanted to create the presets folder in a file path within OneDrive. I am not sure exactly how OneDrive integrates with my computer's file system but the file path is as follows.
C:\Users\camer\OneDrive\Documents\Xfer\Serum Presets
The only place I have been able to find to change this folder is in Splice, there is an option titled "Splice Sound Preferences" in the client settings page. This doesn't seem to correlate with the Serum presets folder as I have tried changing this folder manually with Serum installed and again after deleting Serum.
Is there a way to change this file path or designate a new file path during installation?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi everyone, I've written an explainer on different ways of using an LFO. Almost all examples were made using Serum. The uses range from classic effects like vibrato, tremolo, and auto-panning, to more "weird" effects achieved by having one LFO modulate another (kind of meta...) Some of you might find it useful in your creative projects.

Just filled the form and got 30% discount on Serum which is almost 50$ cheaper.
If anyone has ANY of these Skrillex Quest For Fire, Hamdi, Uk Dubstep/OldSchool Dubstep Skanka presets id be forever grateful. Any legit links or files would help! Thank Yu <3
I’ve been trying to load in a serum skin, serum recognizes the file and I can click on it but the pdf images inside the file do not load, the pdfs on one of the defaults loads fine and everything’s formatted correctly? On Mac btw
So there’s a present called SQ Automator 2 - it’s got some sequenced elements that switch throughout, but that glassy squelchy sound which dominates - how do I make that on its own?! Wilkinson use a similar sound in a few of their tracks and I’ve been trying to figure it out for so long, this is the first time I’ve found something close! Any help?
We recently gave away 20 free Ambient presets for Serum, taken from several of our preset packs, in our magazine section - grab 'em here, and check out our tutorial on 5 advanced features of the synth here!
Can I recreate this in the serum?
Other possibilities open up if you use Sample & Hold to sample a slow sawtooth or triangle LFO triggered by an LFO that is many times faster. The signal from the slow LFO is then output in stages. This makes Sample & Hold similar to a sequencer or arpeggiator, as pitch modulation creates a scale-like effect.
On LFO 2 I have a staircase with a high rate. On LFO 3 a triangle, with slow rate. LFO 3 modulates Coarse pitch OSC A.
But how does LFO 2 modulate LFO 3?
Just an interesting question. With every filter, resonance has an effect.
MG Low 6/12/18/24
Low 12/18/24
MG High 6/12/18/24
High 12/18/24
Band/Peak/Notch 12/24
Just not at
Low 6 & High 6
There is no Band/Peak/Notch 6
Does anyone know why that is?
Been diving so deep into serum recently and have come to love this synth so much. Its a staple in my productions. From bass to leads to atmospheric sounds and weird noises this synth does it all. My favorites feature is dropping in a lfo into the noise oscillator and modulating things from that source. I know thats not a hidden feature but after finding it out my sounds have expanded. What are your favorite functions to do in serum? I primarily make psytrance but know serum is versatile in all genres.
