Sorry if this is way out of touch, but we haven't lived in the city for about 8 years now. We just moved back from living in Snohomish County and looking forward to getting back into the city's beer culture. Did the Club go away with Fremont Brewing's acquisition? Or is it still around and just taking the "secret club" thing very seriously?
Looking to sip down a Korean Hite beer. Can’t seem to find any but I saw a Hite badged truck on i5. Where’s is it and who is distributing it.
Going to be in Maple Valley for a day/night, then heading to Tahuya.
Was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to pick up some good local beers in/near Maple Valley or between MV and Tahuya?
Also, any recommendations for must try local brews? I like everything from pilsners, lagers, stouts, IPAs, ambers, etc.
Thanks all!
Best Seattle breweries? Visiting in September, where must I go? Suggestions?
I am going to Seattle from Sat. March 30-Sunday, April 7th. I didn't realize that the beginning of my trip was going to fall on Easter Sunday. I am going to be near the Ballard neighborhood and am hoping for breweries that are going to be open on that day.
I have two tickets for Hops and Props February 24 at Museum of Flight for sale. These sold out tickets are $250 for the pair.
I’m former industry but new to the seattle beer scene. After following a few local breweries, my instagram algorithm promoted “Douglas Lager” (Douglaslager [dot] com) to me late last year. They have a very slick social media presence. Naturally, this makes me a little skeptical.
Apparently it started as a kickstarter project to make a local rainier competitor, and it looks like they were (are?) associated with lowercase brewing. The beer appears to be a SMaSH lager, and they claim John Marti as their head brewer.
They had a limited release at Bottleworks in Wallingford on 12/28/23, but I missed it. As far as I can tell, they’re still stuck at bottling so I haven’t seen any in the wild yet.
Can anyone tell me what I need to know about Douglas?
Hi I am opening a sports bar in Pioneer Square.
I want to hear some recomendations!!
What kind of beer would you like to drink with fried chicken and watch sport?
What kind of tap are you expecting from sports bar?

Hope this is allowed, I'm not an official promoter or anything just a fan of beer fests and want to share the good news. With WABL dropping the ball this year I've literally been traveling the country going to fests. I was searching for any news on WABL and the Brewers Guild earlier this month when I saw that the Brewers Guild is taking up the reins (santa pun!) and bringing back the Winter Beer Fest - one of my favs!
Oddly they're not promoting it much yet that I've seen, I had to search for news to find it... but early bird tickets did just go on sale today so hopefully they'll promote it. I want it to be successful so they'll keep doing it!
It's Fri & Sat Dec 15 & 16: https://tickets.washingtonbrewersguild.org/e/winter-beer-fest
This is a superlong shot, but I'm really hoping someone can help. There was a small taphouse, and i thought it was on Rainer ave, but it had the word tugboat in it. It was small, with an upstairs seating area, and a back patio. Total hole in the wall. They mainly served imported beers. Does any of this sound familiar? Thank you!
Hi everyone! I recently moved back to Seattle after a small stint in B’ham (i loveeee it up there)! After spending my early 20’s up there, and feeling like I’m stuck as a nanny forever I figured I’d turn to Reddit for advice!
I really want to become a beertender, does anyone in this page work at any of the local breweries/know if places are hiring? None of the main job-hunting websites had anything close to beertender as a job listing.
My resume is up to date and printed out haha! At my old food service job, most the resumes would get trashed if we weren’t hiring, or if my manager didn’t like the persons vibe! Hoping people know if breweries around here hire people who walk in with their resume! TIA!
Hey everyone! Im coning to seattle briefly next month and was hoping for some recommendations for a brewery, and a beer bar to go to?
What are your favorite places / the best places to go to?
Howdy, Seattleites,
I just moved here from Austin. Before I left I had a chance to try Tmavé Pivo, or Czech dark lager, at an excellent brewery called Lazarus. Anyone know of a brewery that does that in the PNW anywhere?
Come in on your bike and enjoy a 10% this coming weekend to close out bike month!
We'll have food from Alaskan Dumplings on Saturday from 3-8pm and on Sunday Kaosamai Thai will be serving from 1-4pm. DJ Rockcrusher will be bringing out the vinyl on Sunday at 4pm, so grab some food a beer and settle in for a bit.
I don’t live in the US but I am planning a trip to Seattle next year. Any pointers for buying the Utopia beer in Seattle? I understand that it usually gets sold out once released, but any pointers is very much appreciated. Thanks!

I am going to be spending 9 Days in between Portland and Seattle and I am looking for some good breweries that people outside Seattle might not know about too try.
Thanks
Dear All,
Are there any breweries that have a happy hour in Seattle???? Also, are there any Craft Breweries with merch T-Shirts that display "Seattle" with in their designs ???
In advance, thank you very much for your attention and time.
Hi all,
I’ll be heading out your way in a few weeks. Already searched the sub and found some recommendations, but I did not see any for ages sours.
Are there any breweries in Seattle that specialize in the barrel aged sours, wild ales, wine hybrid ales, or even just funky beers?
Thanks in advance!
My wife is visiting Seattle next week and has offered to bring me back some presents (beer). She'll be staying in Bellevue so I was looking for a good liquor store to send her to, either there or generally, to pick me up some nice big stouts (local or not) especially.
In December, I saw that WABL was "suspended," whatever that means. (It was challenging to read between the lines on that news release and nobody else seems to be asking about it.) I'm guessing, though haven't heard anything official, that Belgian Fest (typically in February) is not happening this year.
But I think I'm also just generally concerned about the future of beer festivals in Seattle, in general. The epic Seattle International Beerfest never came back after the pandemic. Last year's non-WABL "Fresh Hop Beer Fest" was very, very sad, with, what, 10 breweries total? Down in Oregon, Bend Brewfest and Portland's Oregon Brewers Festival (!) announced cancelations.
Are beer festivals in Seattle in deep shit? And what the fuck happened to WABL? I know it's not 2012 for the industry anymore but this seems like a really steep, sudden decline.
Dear All,
Do you know of a beer store or a glassware store, maybe even a German store that sells those 1L glass jars???, I am looking for the one that is Paulaner or Erdinger.
In advance, thank you very much for your attention and time!
Hi. I'll be visiting Seattle from the UK for a couple of days next week and wondering what are the essential beer visits? It's 10 years since I've last been, so guess things have changed a lot!
