Maisie is a bit sad she wasn’t invited this year.
“Help me, O Bonnie Kenobi. You’re my only hope.” 🤣🤣🤣
Hello all!
Just hoping for some inspiration in terms of games to play with my Scottie.
He is 7 months, and going through adolescence. Gosh he’s tricky, but a huge personality and we love him to bits.
I want to keep our relationship positive (even though he can be very stubborn and cheeky!) so wondered what are the best games / tricks to keep building the bond?
What is your Scottie’s most favourite bonding activity?
Thanks!

This is Eli, and he looks like any other Scottie but he isn’t just any Scottie to us. He’s our baby and I even refer to him as my son.
He has diabetes mellitus, is mostly blind and deaf, isn’t eating or drinking on his own volition, he’s fallen down the stairs which prompted us to put up baby gates, he’s incontinent, and in what I think is agonal breathing. You can hear him breathing heavily and it sounds very similar to a human with Asthma during an attack and it’s loud and unusual. He’s not himself, and he’s been going down the tubes since he was dx with diabetes mellitus. I suspect heart failure but we go to the dogtor today but send him your love.
I’m sorry for the long and emotional post. I have been crying all night knowing he’s suffering.
Why can’t our fur babies stay with us forever without health problems?

We brought home our very first Scottie last year. He is 10 months old. We are now thinking of getting a female in the next few months. I know a lot of you have more than one Scottie; my question is-how hard was it to get your baby accustomed to a “little sibling”? Our boy definitely runs the house and us. I worry about jealousy with him, but he sure could use a playmate too…thoughts?
Hi everyone,
I’m dealing with my first Scottie! I got him at 10 weeks old, and his been the highlight of my life. However, his just hit 6 months old this week and today I’ve noticed a change in his attitude I’m wondering if it’s him maturing or I need to be more concerned and take him in to see a vet.
Overall his been quite sleepy today, there has been a recent cold-snap weather change and he did go for a decent walk this morning. But I’m having trouble distinguishing is he tired from is he sick or is he just growing up and becoming more settled.
He is eating and drinking, I’ve seen him wee, he did a poo at roughly 10am that I saw which was fine (it’s 9pm now). And his temp is normal, gums are pink.
He did have beef for the first time yesterday could this be some sort of reaction?
Sincerely anxious first time dog mum! 🥹
