Screws for pistol grip mount

Hey y'all, I find myself needing to install a pistol grip mount on my Saiga 308. I got this [AK-Builder.com Saiga Pistol Grip Mount but no screws came with it. I assume because they can be screwed or riveted. I'm not experienced with [nor do I have the tools for] riveting, so screws it is. Does anyone know exactly what screws I will need and where to get em? Thanks!

WANTED: AK-101 Folding Wood Furniture

Hey lovely people,
I'm having a hard time finding wood furniture for my Saiga M3 EXP 01 .223 AK-101.

The sites I find online are mostly US and don't ship to EU or if they are in EU they are out of stock (pun intended). If you have wood furniture that fits and want to sell, or know of a site that is available to ship to EU and has in stock I'd deeply appreciate it!

This is the gun in question, I want wood furniture rather than plastic.

Are rifled slugs what Saiga-12's (etc.) need to be "practical"?

Regarding all the box-mag-fed, semi-auto shotguns out there (Saiga 12's/20's/etc., plus VEPR's, Lynx, etc. for the purposes of this forum, but this question could also apply to AR-pattern shotguns and for that matter any other shottie with a detachable box mag), a criticism of their "practicality" I've heard is that shotgun rounds will deform in any magazine left loaded for even a short while (hours to days, even). This is only a problem with rounds of buckshot or birdshot pellets, yes?

I'm wondering, does using a rifled slug in the appropriate caliber as the 1st / topmost round in a magazine eliminate this problem? It seems like a slug could not deform when pressed against the magazine lips like a plastic shell surrounding pellets would. Or would deformations of the plastic shell itself be enough to cause problems, even with a rifled slug?

Then, what about lower rounds? Would the mag spring's pressure deform the front ends of those if they are buckshot instead of slugs? Would long-term storage of a mag loaded only with slugs be the sole "practical" option for a Saiga-12 (etc.) as a self-defense weapon?

Saiga 9 compatibilities

Hello,

I recently brought a saiga 9k (short barrel) and i wanted to change the handguard, both the lower and upper part.

My question is: what kind do i need to buy? The only ones i found that are said to work on it are from zentico. Some other said ak74 and saiga 9/vityaz compatible but i havent found any other mentionning that. Any where i can get info?

Does anyone have the Phoenix Technology STR12B Forend (handguard) on their Saiga 12 or Lynx 12? I’m trying to fit accessories on the rails and coming to the conclusion these might be Weaver and not Picatinny.

Saiga 1" scope mount

https://imgur.com/a/b4FghBN

Cross-posted on GAFS. Used this on my Saiga 308 for years, but switched over to red dot now. Locks up great. Rattle canned with high heat engine paint years ago. Found one on a Saiga forum from 2016 for $60, but we are no longer in 2016. I'll include these two 308 pro mags for your Saiga for free if you buy- $100

Any experience polishing 7.62 bcg?

I know a lot of Saiga-12 users promote this, any reason to/not to on a 7.62?

Centerfire Systems "Enhanced" telescoping recoil assembly

Reposting this from the ak47 community to see if I can get more input.

Stumbled upon this telescoping recoil assembly and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it and if there were any benefits to using this over the standard wire-type guide rod.

RPC Fort could make a ton of money

An idea came to me today, and I imagined that this subreddit would be able to weigh in on its feasibility. RPC Fort is the primary arms manufacturing concern for the Ukrainian military, and their industrial capacity has doubtless been expanded as of late in the buildup to the huge war that we all fear is coming. It is almost certain that every arm they build is going to arm the Ukrainian Armed Forces. That's now. Tomorrow, however, is uncertain.

In the eventuality that their facilities are more or less under Ukrainian control after the war, and should the military be amply armed, the fact remains that Kiev will need money. They've spent a lot of it on new uniforms, police reform, importing cutting-edge anti-armor weapons from the US and UK, arms modernization, and more. While this expenditure can be covered in the short term to a degree by privatizing Soviet era infrastructure, there's probably only so much left that they can do. Enter RPC Fort. UkrBoronProm will probably retain it for the foreseeable future, so it can be used to shore up the treasury. As Kalashnikov Concern is barred from doing business in the majority of Western nations, there is an extant gap in the market for people who want high quality, civilian legal AKs from the former USSR. What, then, is the likelihood that Fort might turn to turning Ukrainian AKs into civilian rifles and shipping them to the US and Europe?

I'd rate it as likely, and I'll cite my reasons. Not only is the Ukraine in need of cash, but they are likely keen to get rid of as many AKs as they can. They're outmoded for the Ukrainian army's doctrinal needs and their parts/ammo commonality with enemy kit could prove to be more of a liability than an asset. Furthermore, keeping those AKs around is almost certainly not a good look for image purposes, as they want their military to look as un-Soviet as possible.

Now look to the West. The US and EU are likely keen to help the Ukrainian government out, both to keep Kiev in their orbit and also to provide a way to keep Putin hemmed in. However, The West is ultimately beholden to Wall Street, and Wall Street isn't really keen on debtors. Likely, Kiev will be under great diplomatic pressure to repay their debts after the war and the West will be willing to purchase or allow the purchase of Ukrainian goods. We've already seen US Defense aid use UkrBoronProm and other Ukrainian vendors to shore up maintenance of Soviet era kit in former USSR client states in the American orbit. Depending on State's attitude and the political winds at the time, I'm certain they'd be more than willing to let Fort sell sporterized rifles on the American market. I can't speak to this likelihood in other Western countries. Canada could go either way (likely in favor since they allow gun imports and have strong ties to the Ukraine) but most EU states are probably a no (excepting Italy and Czechia.)

But what do you think? Is there some big administrative hurdle I'm not seeing here? This is all obviously dependent on a Ukrainian victory, or acceptable diplomatic outcome for Kiev; as well as the political winds in Washington since the US is sure to be the largest market, but from where I'm standing this seems to be a good market for RPC Fort to get into.
