Recently added a front guard to my truck and installed a light bar and I just felt like lighting in this photo just set up perfectly! My headlights though… any suggestions on good replacements?
Weird one. I e searched Google and I can’t find an answer. 97 s10, the seatbelt for the front seat looped under the third door as I was closing it, and landed right on the latch. I can not get the 3rd door latch to release at all, and currently don’t have a seatbelt. Other than cutting/replacing the belt and prying the remnants out, any ideas?
What is the number or name for this hose that goes into the throttle body the other end snapped on me ??
Hi all,
I had to replace the fuel pump in my truck recently, and the new one (GM pump bought from RockAuto) is showing almost 1/4 tank higher than the actual level. Is this normal, and could it be anything other than the float arm needing adjustment? The pump I took out was some aftermarket job, but the level seemed to read about right. I also must have messed up the pump gasket since I can smell fuel and sometimes get an evap leak code, so I guess I'll have to remove the bed again and fix everything correctly while I'm in there.
Thanks!
does anyone know of a reputable company that can rebuild the instrument cluster for an 03 s10?
S10 4.3 has a fresh trans, muffler delete and the half moon deleted from the tb. Suburban is a 22:1 6.5 Detroit turbo diesel with no air filter. Wot the entire time till the suburban let off (buddies vehicles)
Hello everyone, I’m looking to buy a 98 v6 s10. I think it has just a regular bed with an extended cab. I have a small boat. No more than 1500lbs for trailer motor boat gear etc. the truck is a 4x4 but I wanted to know if it would have enough clearance. I know these set a little lower to the ground and want to be sure I can launch the boat with the clearance it has. Also, is it possible to put lifts on these? I’ve only seen slammed ones.
Going to check out an '85 awd 2.6L v6 automatic s10 this weekend. Ive heard some complaints about power and gas mileage with automatics, but I'm more concerned with reliability in the long run. wondering if anyone has anything good or bad to say, about this particular S10, but also about 1st generation automatics in general.
Drove home last night, got a misfire and a rough idle as I got off the highway, pulled into the drive way and thought dammit I’ll deal with this tomorrow, woke up and will only crank not turn over, had some spark plugs lying around so replaced those, old ones weren’t in to bad of shape, a few were blackened and could smell some gas but assuming it’s from trying to turn over, recently replaced fuel filter and distributer cap as well, strong battery and yes there is gas, where would you start?
I have a 2008 impala ss that broke down. It's not worth fixing, as it's expensive suspension and wheel parts. I am looking to buy a 2002 s10 tomorrow. It's the 2.2 4 cylinder, and manual transmission. Can I swap the transmission for the v6 s10 and put my v8 ss engine into it? My biggest concern is that the impala engine it rotated 90 degrees for the front wheel drive.
I don't think that crack should be there. I was wondering why it leaked out of the back
Hey y'all, so Im doing an engine swap on my 96 4.3 s10 with the nv3500 and there was about a half inch gap between the trans bell and the back of the engine. My dad had pushed the clutch in to give us some more room to push the alignment dowels in and some clutch fluid had leaked out. Do I continue with installing the engine or do I need to pull it out to install the piston. Thanks
So I’m getting these style of rims. I want to say 15x8. Pictured is a 196/65r15 I’m wondering what’s a good tire not too costly that I could run on all 4 corners that won’t rub, don’t have a massive side wall and are wide. I was thinking a 245/60r15? I’ve read those should clear. Not my truck in pic my truck is stock height for a 2wd
Is there anything crazy looking ?? Why is there a lot of orange surface discoloration?? What is the reddish stuff on the header gasket? Is there supposed to be a 3 layer gasket for the headers ??
gonna run the price of these up if we don't, spread the word 😂 nothing beats an $800 S-series!
I am replacing the radiator on my 2003 4.3L and i can not for the life of me get the transmission lines back into the new radiator. I have been trying for a couple days and had my dad try and neither of us can get the ones on the right side in (driver side) the passenger side went in without a hitch. Are there any hacks to get these back in?
Alright Reddit I have a manual 1997 s10 with a 2.2, and I have been raking my brain over the coals trying to solve this misfire so here’s the data I have Its a simultaneous misfire on 1 and 2 they’re misfiring at the exact same time I have replaced both cylinders injectors I have replaced the icm the coil packs the plug wires and the spark plugs It wouldn’t be a fuel pump because then every cylinder would be throwing a bitch fit and I have replaced the fuel filter I replaced the motor about a year ago,and when I tore down the old motor it looked like it had the same problem with cylinder 1 and 2 so I’m wondering if the ecm needs to be tuned or replaced as that is the only thing that hasn’t changed between me swapping me the motor and getting it running I don’t wanna have to do the engine swap again TLDR: Simultaneous misfire on 1 and 2 done everything to try and fix it,at a loss on what to do need help thinking ecm but any and all advice or questions or suggestions are welcome
Thanks for letting me join, here's my new to me 99 S10 regular cab long bed, 4.3 v6, 4x4 w/172k miles
