We, Revisionism With Chinese Characteristics (RWCC), stand in utter opposition to the false narrative asserted by /r/swcc and sadly too many on /r/communism, and some on /r/communism101. Too many think that China is "socialist" but in reality it is capitalistic and revisionist.
This subreddit, Revisionism With Chinese Characteristics (RWCC),
stands in opposition to the narrative asserted by /r/swcc and sadly too many on /r/communism, and some on /r/communism101 regarding China, declaring it is socialist. Those individuals can be respected in the sense that they have some understanding of how the world functions in a capitalist world economy, but their view of China in the present-day (and especially since Mao's death in 1976) is flawed. Instead, it seems clear that China is on the "capitalist road" (which Mao strongly fought against) and is revisionist. The name of this subreddit is meant to show the reality of China: that it is revisionist and has an active bourgeoisie, with the country interconnected into the global capitalist system. This subreddit stands with anti-revisionists everywhere. Even so, this subreddit does not take a Trotskyist perspective and stands against Trotskyist analysis, instead serving as a place to bring in other critical accounts, whether Maoist, socialist, or otherwise on the left. As such, this subreddit does NOT side with Western imperialists or capitalists of any stripe, just to make that clear to any revisionists who peruse this subreddit!
