For those who has path project especially their running short models, which one do you prefer? the AT or PX? and is the PX more durable in the sense that it is heavier/ has more material? correct me if I'm wrong on this one, thank you!
Not a ton of releases, but some great previews this week. There's also been an uptick in activity, so welcome new folks and don't be afraid to post, ask questions, and chime in the comments!
If you haven’t checked out your Strava Year in Review, it was pretty fun! One of the interesting results in their aggregate data was that the Nike Pegasus was the most popular running shoe, and the most popular racing shoes at any distance was a Nike model.
District Vision x Post Archive Faction collab is coming in April of 2025. TBD on what that is, but assuming an apparel collab.
The Altra Timp 5 GTX ROA released recently on the ROA and Altra websites. It's still in stock.
Very much tapped into the Airport TSA bin trend, Minted NY shared the latest Saucony they helped design.
Orange Peel Running Club (which also has a full design side to it) is making a pair of cool running sunglasses.
I'll be putting together a survey to vote on people's favorite brands, releases, and most memorable moments of 2024 in running fashion. Stay tuned!
hi everyone! I just started a running fashion IG and was looking for some fashionable runners to feature. If you're interested please drop a link to your profile! https://www.instagram.com/runnerfits
Top to bottom:
Finished with a time of 1:52:30 with an average pace of 8:34/mile
Hello everyone was hoping I can get help picking some running shorts and leggings for my wife. She has been working on losing her mommy weight and has been struggling with her leggings slipping. I know she thinks that the chicknlegs shorts are cute but idk how they fit for a thicker lady. Hope I can get some pointers! Thank you
...running brands, that is. As great as they are, I don't mean Asics, Mizuno and Goldwin, but rather more niche brands making running attire.
Ordering from small Japanese brands can be a bit of a hassle for those of us in other parts of the world, with proxies, shipping, duties and indecipherable sizes. I'm just starting to dip my toes here, but there's so much cool stuff around I'd like to dive deeper. Curious to hear which non-mainstream Japanese running brands you are excited about, and why.
I'll start off with a quartet of brands that have caught my eye:
GSYB >> Short for Godspeed You Blast, in the whimsical version of English we've come to expect from CMF, which is GSYB's more well-known, gorpy sister brand. Focus on ultralight items like ponchos and bags, they also make running vests, shorts, most things a runner needs apart from shoes. I picked up the quick dry tee. And yes, it was because their logo is cool.
Tannuki Running >> Strong focus on made-in-jp and the local running community. There's a humble, peaceful vibe to their comfy cuts and their serene autumnal color palette. Have not tried, but Tannuki speaks to me in that same comforting tone as Hasami porcelain.
Tabisuke Tabizo >> More technical stuff, including a pair of tights so compressive they are only sold in the physical store, to make sure they fit the right way. Like Yamatomichi (below) this brand has its home in Kamakura, where you can try those tights on in person.
Yamatomichi >> Top shelf technical materials like merino, Pertex Shield Air, Polartec Alpha Direct and many more. Yamatomichi makes gear for the trails, primarily for hardcore hikers but with plenty of stuff suitable for running in cooler temps and challenging conditions. Every piece they make comes with a little essay on the how and why of it, that's well worth perusing even if you're not actively shopping. Much of their stuff sells out on release, so if you see some upcoming drop you like, set a reminder.
Being amazed about the Tracksmith Brighton Base Layer, I thought there must be other brands that offer great merino gear.
Let me hear your thoughts!
Is there one or should we start one?
Im thinking about necklaces, rings,…
Holiday season is in full swing, expect another wave of sales! Hope everyone has their lists ready :)

Let’s collect the best pieces of 2024.
For me it is the new balance fresh foam more v5.
Does anyone have any experience with either the soar hot weather shirt or the district vision lightweight shirt?
I hate saturating the sub with Satisfy stuff as they sort of are at the forefront of experimenting with the running and fashion world...but this caught my eye.
Dropping this upcoming week. Levis has their own Re/Done line which takes vintage jeans, repairs them, and tailors them for a more modern cut. They've done collabs with a number of designers on this line including Interview Magazine's Mel Ottenberg, Bentgablenits

What are your thoughts on a running brand doing this collab?
Leaving aside any predispositions towards Satisfy, I'm a general fan of what they do. Quality, whatever aside, they make some interesting silhouettes, experiment with new fabrics and ideas, and have a strong opinion on what their brand is.
To me this is an unexpected collab, but with the heavy fashion influence in the biz, I expect it to do well. Good exposure for them from Levis to non-runners.
Do you prioritize functionality or aesthetics?
Are there brands or products that meet the perfect balance for you?
Apologies for the lackluster post last week, was away for TSP Atacama! Wild event. If you get a chance to try out The Speed Project, or any ultra trail race I highly recommend it.
Speaking of, Parisian Studio Les Others just put out a sweet video with TNF and Oakley here called The Sun Will Rise Again highlighting the beauty of ultra trail.

Are there any European running brands offering memberships or communities similar to what Bandit or Tracksmith have in the US? I’m looking for something with perks like exclusive gear, group runs, or special events—any recommendations?
A bit conscious down there. HAHA so was looking for lined tights that don't really show bulge.
Local dogs have some problems with me. Many dogs attacks here. Dog owners just give a fcuk about runners/cyclists. Any suggestions to get protection? Any ultrasound devices or anything else? Thanks
