I have 5 tickets to this Bee Gees tribute band show but all the members of my group ended up having to cancel (surgery, out of town, etc). So I'm giving them away to anyone who likes Bee Gees music. I can break them up into groups of 2 or 3. Send me a message or respond here and I'll give them away to the first folks who contact me, thanks!
EDIT - All tickets are claimed!
Hello all,
Recently new to Royal oak and am looking for gym recommendations. I usually do your typical bodybuilding training but I am slowly wanting to move away from that; it just seems so repetitive and boring lol. I’m interested in CrossFit or boxing gyms, something to keep me in shape and change it up. I’ve looked into most of the big gyms near the area and they seem to be pretty mediocre.
Does anyone have any recommendations. I don’t mind driving 15-20 minutes if I have to?!
I’ll be in town for Comedy Rumble at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle Dec 22nd and was looking to make a day of it.
Favorite places to eat? Favorite places to shop?
Doesn’t have to be within walking distance. Thanks in advance.
There’s an anti-abortion guy on main welcoming you to Royal Oak tonight.
I know it is today but I can't find how to buy it online
Looking for recommendations for a contractor to help expand (non-weightbearing wall) and remodel a bathroom.
Hello All,
I recently got a ticket in Royal Oak after getting off S Rochester Road and into N Main Street.
I was following the 40 mile speed limit for S Rochester Road and did not realize that the speed limit had declined to 25 mph. It was late like midnight and I was also conversing with someone the whole time so I was very surprised when I saw the lights behind me.
I was pulled over for going 15 over but the officer amended it to a 1-5mph over. However, on my ticket he made a remark that I was doing 40 in a 25. I also accidentally handed him my expired registration so he told me that he wouldn’t write me up for that but just for the speeding ticket.
I had a spotless driving record prior to this incident. Would this leave a point on my record?
Should I go to the 44th district court and fight for the ticket? Admit fault with explanation?
I am planning to do a zoom court and I'm hoping that the officer doesn't show up. I'm pretty nervous and would appreciate any sort of input, thanks guys :)
This city never fails to amaze me with their cruelty, they are actually doing horse carriage rides through the Holiday, just amazing. Making horses pull oversized loads like carriages is cruel. Horses are forced to toil in all weather extremes, dodge traffic, and pound the pavement all day long. They may develop respiratory ailments because they breathe in exhaust fumes, and they can suffer debilitating leg problems from walking on hard surfaces. https://www.royaloakholidays.com/horse-wagon-rides
Anyone know what happened? Drive past last night and the place was empty, yard empty, car and parts gone, and a dumpster in the driveway and signs on the door. Hoping nothing bad happened, that car was looking nice.
Is it just me or is the 20s/30s FB group pretty dead? I heard about how active it was, but I joined about a month ago and it seems pretty quiet, with intermittent activity spikes here and there.
Are there any other good FB groups for the 20 somethings age range?
Has anyone else notice that large splotch on I-75 southbound before the 8 mile exit? It is covering the far right lane(maybe a lane over) It looks like a deer got hit or something spilled. I am curious if anyone knows what happened?
Does anyone know when it opens?
Hey guys I’m new to the area. I’ve been talking to this girl and I wanna ask her out on a date. It’s gonna be brunch probably. i cannot do dinner for now because I’m working nights. Please give me good suggestions, not too expensive but also not cheap
This has been posted before, but I wanted to see people's updated opinions on the Royal Oak and Berkeley school districts vs Birmingham. My family is relocating to Michigan and we are comparing homes in the Birmingham and Royal Oak areas. Our focus is on public schools at the moment.
Cost of home notwithstanding, is there anyone who has experiences with these school districts who can provide insight? My son will be starting kindergarten this upcoming Fall. We've looked through Niche, Great Schools, and School Digger. What stood out to me were the M-step score differences, which were much higher for a school like Pierce Elementary vs Pattengil/Northwood/Addams. I realize test scores are only part of the picture and that a lot of this scales with family socioeconomics.
Any positive/negative aspects to share?
Thank you to everyone in advance.
What’s the ideal time to get to places like Fifth Avenue and Otooles to avoid the lines for tonight
Are there any good places in or near downtown Royal Oak that could accommodate say 20 people or so for lunch ? Of course I would call ahead to make sure first. But I am having trouble looking for places that can handle a larger group.
My friends got me into knitting and while I’m a beginner, it really is a cool hobby that I would love to explore more.
I was wondering if there were any knitting clubs in the area that meet regularly.
I saw some kinda of knitting event at Rust Belt a couple weeks ago. Not sure if that was a private group or what.
I just found out today that City Ramen closed and I’m pretty bummed (huge fan of their pork belly). I’m having big cravings for a big bowl of ramen and would love recommendations!
Anyone have events or specials that are going on Wednesday afternoon/evening? Looking to be in downtown Royal Oak/Ferndale.
hey hey! i got a job near the royal oak area and am looking to move before the end of the year. i’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for apartments i should be looking at? my budget is $1100 and under and my top priority is safety as i’m a young woman. of course, i would love all the amenities but i’m aware that with my budget, that’s not realistic. any advice/insight would be appreciated! thank you ❤️
I'm looking to rent an apartment within the coming months somewhere in metro Detroit; preferably not in Detroit. I've been looking at Ambers timber lodges and other offerings by that company but I'm seeing mixed reviews. This will be my first apartment and I have no idea what places are best bang for buck. Id like to try and keep my rent under $1300 with most utilities included. Any ideas? Thank you!
Edit this is what I've been looking at https://amberapt.com/
I live 5 blocks away from the ice rink, the music is so loud right now it's coming through the walls, you can't read, you can't watch television, it's outrageous!
Does anyone know where to go for a Russian manicure? Looking in royal oak, Birmingham, Farmington hills and as far as Plymouth!
I am looking to move to the area but will need to commute to Clinton Twp/ Macomb at least 2-4 times per week. Is living in royal oak or ferndale doable or should I look to move closer to there?
Edit: commuting to Henry Ford Macomb
[Edit: The park I was thinking of is Wilson Park in Ferndale. Shoutout to u/Yo_CSPANraps for the help]
I’ve been going crazy trying to find this park that might not even exist! About 6 months ago I was driving in or around Royal Oak and saw a fenced off area with what looked like agility obstacles for dogs. I vaguely remember the park it was in having a lot of trees and a playground nearby.
Sorry, it’s not much to go on, but does anyone recognize the park I’m describing? Or did I dream it up? Haha. Thanks in advance from my pup and I!
Does anyone know If there’s a salon that can do starter dreads?
