Suggestions!

Of course you are welcome to play however you want, but this game mode plays a bit differently than your standard games. From our experience so far, this game mode is very heavy with monsters, and the action economy is against you. Characters with lots of actions and AOE seem to do the best. The traditional tank and healer roles seem much less important

Along the way, you and your allies will meet fascinating people, engage in perilous intrigue, face challenging moral dilemmas, and do battle with all manner of horrifying creatures.

This game stems from a fairly ambitious personal project with associated worldbuilding and a comprehensive ruleset. I intend for the game to feel like a sweeping epic, with the player characters as its protagonists.

The game is completely online, managed via Roll20. Sessions usually take place at 8 PM EST every Friday. The rest of our contact takes place on a shared outside server, which you'll be able to join after completing an interview process.

We are currently halfway through our grand adventure and seeking one new player to join us for its remainder. About The Setting

Welcome to the wild world of Dragonlance! Enter Ansalon, a continent that has suffered long since the great cataclysm that shook the world, not only restructuring the land masses, but also marking the departure of the gods. Though some of the most devout claim to still draw power from these long-forgotten gods, others have started to turn to newer gods to fill the gap. There are however events unfolding, things that will forever alter the future of the continent as the fate of the mortals there hang in the balance. Can the forces amassing be stopped, and what of the gods that were claimed to be lost, and is there any way to change the course of forces unseen preparing to alter this world forever? Find out in this 5e adaptation of the 3.5 Dragonlance Chronicles.

 Campaign Details 

The group will start off in the small city of Starport, which is situated in the Western shore of the Southlund region. Characters motivation will be their own for arriving in this town and will find themselves suddenly thrust into action alongside (possible) strangers. From there events will unravel both in the world at large and based upon characters backgrounds. Slowly the word will evolve around the characters in a largely sandbox environment where player's choices will go a long way to shape the world before major events out of anyone's control begin to occur.

About Me

I started playing D&D in Middle School when one of my friends brought in a book he had received. Unfortunately, that didn’t last long since the book was confiscated, but I would pick it up again much later in life.  I’ve been playing for a while and DMing for three years (in person until the pandemic) and have amassed a good flow of my campaign which has players just recently hitting Level 14, with a plan for them to reach Level 20.

My Style

I enjoy a good balance between RP and Combat, trying to find a good balance of the two, but differing to what players enjoy the most. Though I’m not phenomenal, I do try to emulate as many voices as possible to add to the immersiveness of the NPCs that will be encountered. The more indepth your character backstory, the deeper it can be woven into the story as it unfolds around the characters, with your character taking a main feature in many events built to make your backstory shine.

Why Pay to Play 

By paying to play, it allows me to continue my Roll20 subscription, D&D Beyond subscription (if we can get someone with the books, I can share out characters for a campaign), and to help cover my own personal bills. Proceeds also help to pay for Patreon subscriptions to various Dungeondraft asset creators to help enhance the quality of in-game maps and for subscription to Inkarnate.

Acceptable Content

Most WotC published books will be accepted (save things like Ravnica backgrounds), I'll do whatever I can to help make sure that we find a way to find your character into the setting.

What is Godlike?

Godlike is a "supers" rpg. You have fantastical powers, but you are still vulnerable as a normal human. In setting of Godlike is what would happen if superpowered individuals existed in WW2. Let's just say it gets very bloody.

This will be a more military/historical minded game. We will have a Session 0 to discuss content restrictions, gameplay, and other information

How does it play?

Godlike uses a Dice pool system (rolling d10s) like World of Darkness, but instead of trying to hit a target number or getting as many 7+s as possible, you are looking for matches.

Example: A pool of 5,8,3,10 is a failure, but a pool of 1,1,5,6 is a success.

Hello there Reddit! My friend and I are looking for a DM.

We have played together for over 5 years and have found either one of us on each side of the table, DMing or playing but never together, we have shared brilliant moments of RP and fun with our games and have both always wanted to play together as players. So I come here in hopes of finally being able to achieve that goal.

We live on opposite sides of the world (He is in Texas and I am in Spain), but Saturdays 7pm CET works for us both.

The friendship and experiences we have shared and crafted should show we are not going to have any drama or issues outside of the game (even if within the game the story calls for some tension ;) )

We support and encourage roleplay amongst our other players at the tables we have played at and push to develop an attachment to the stories being told and the characters therein.

DnD 5e is what we are used to, 2014 to be exact but we would be fine with using the 2024 rules and homebrew.

We use Discord to chat and are accustomed to Roll20, but are welcome to using other VTTs if the need arises.

This game will put a lot of focus on gothic horror and the macabre. The terror that lurks in Barovia. A grim and dark realm where people suffer on daily basis. Where horror lurks everywhere. In the domains of dread the things that go bump in the night are real. Will the characters survive, will they be able to escape Barovia or will they be just fall like so many before them.

We will be using the 2014 rules for this campaign. with some added houserules. Including free feat at character creation and some extra weapon technique options for martials. You can chose a weapon and get one of 2 techniques tied to that weapon and as a martial you will learn more as you level.

Welcome to my Tavern of Tales !

This is simply a discord server I have created for all my games, where all of the advertisement for them, meeting and actual play will happen.

Other then that, it is also just a place for people to hang out and chill with other DnD fans.

But do keep in note, all of the games will be paid.

Me as a DM, I am a person who loves creativity, so fun ideas that are not necessarily within rules of DND, are more then fun for me.
I most of the time use ROLLED stats, and free level 1 feat (does not stack with extra sources like Variant Human or special Backgrounds. Always can have 1 feat for free)
However, I always modify monsters to some extent, but always in a way that would be balanced for the party.

I will use your backstory if you write one, as much as I can within the limits of whatever game you join.

In terms of experience, I've been DM-ing for about 6 years now.

Inspired by Fantasy High of Dimension 20, this is my take, with the difference being this is a University, instead of High School.

If you love Strixhaven, but want a bit more modern theme to it, this is a game for you.

Starting a new module game for Descent into Avernus !

It is a story about how Baldur's Gate slowly succumbs to corruption from powers of Avernus, aka First Layer of DND Nine Hells.

Will you be able to survive in this hellish environment ? Will you be able to still have your soul and go back to the city of Baldur's Gate ?

For those interested, it also is a Prequel to Baldur's Gate 3, the video game.

Starting level would be 1, per module rules.

Good old Sword Coast looks to be in trouble yet again. Giants, Giants are everywhere, ranging from Waterdeep, Neverwinter and all the way to Baldur's Gate.

The great Storm King, King of all Giants seems to have lost control of his species, and they are now rampaging all over the lands.

In the face of this great threat, it's up to the small folk to band together, survive and possibly solve this chaos.
