Campaign Details:

Join Captain Zoto Ybba on his quest to hunt The Red Tail, the dreaded pirate admiral of legend returned after more than a century of inactivity! You will go from port to port, island to island, all to pursue this ruthless cur and his power-hungry crew; but take heed! For the depths of Vetrhjarta have long been ignored by its heroines and peacekeepers, and corrupt has been allowed to fester. Formless evil that has long slumbered in the abyss seeks to breach the waves with its drowned armada, a dreamless threat to all the waking world - whether they be on land or at sea!

This naval campaign adventure will see players take on the roll of crewmen starting at level 2, following the commands of Captain Ybba. This will be an entirely naval-focused campaign, which unfolds into a greater story with strong horror and Lovecraftian themes that undercuts the bright open seas of adventure that awaits between each destination. This campaign comes with a trigger warning for intense body horror, magical madness, some intense scenes of gore and dread, and bad pirate accents everywhere!

Players will receive a free copy of the Wintersong Naval Companion Guide, which details some of the new rules and mechanics we use for sailing, ship management, oceanic adventures, and combat between vessels! While eyepatches, pirate tricorn hats, fake bad teeth and peg legs are all encouraged, I would recommend not wearing eyepatches while staring at a computer screen for too long because it messes with your eyes somethin' fierce. All 5th Edition content is allowed, so you can build whatever character concept you wish! But be warned: magic and minmaxing can only get you so far when you're adrift at sea without the proper supplies to keep your ship moving!

There are many games out there, and many GMs who deserve a lot of praise! In the sea of campaigns to choose from, there's often a bit of anxiety when it comes down to actually picking a game - and I want to acknowledge that first and foremost. It includes two fully updated and revised classics, along with three brand new adventures, and all can be played as standalone adventures. Suitable for up to six players and their Keeper, each scenario should take between one and three 3 hrs sessions to play through.

The first scenario assumes the investigators are currently residing in a house in an expensive upper-middle class or better residential neighborhood. Across the street dwells the kindly widower, Mr. Corbitt.

Bernard Corbitt has always seemed a quiet, inoffensive, and normal man. His only apparent oddity is a touch of absent-mindedness. He lives on a large, well-kept estate on Chestnut Street in a leafy suburb of Boston, MA, across the street from one of the investigators, with whom Corbitt possibly has a nodding relationship. He is one of the more respected and prominent businessmen in the area and his habits and mannerisms are known to most of his neighbors.

The story begins on a Sunday evening. The investigators are sitting around a dinner table or in the living room. One of them, looking out of the window, notices the neighbor, Mr. Corbitt, park his automobile in front of his house across the street. Unaware he is being observed, Corbitt exits the car and pops open the trunk, withdrawing from it two canvas-wrapped objects.

One of the objects is small and round, while the other is approximately the size and shape of a small baseball bat.

Carrying these to the front door, Corbitt holds them both under one arm while struggling with the stubborn lock. The larger of the two packages slides loose and falls to the front porch, causing the canvas folds to fall open and allowing the watching investigator to catch a glimpse of something white

and cylindrical lying on the step in the gloom. In the dim light, the investigator sees that there appear to be the hand and fingers of a small child at one end of the object! 

Glancing around quickly to assure himself no one is watching, Corbitt quickly rewraps the item, then, after successfully unlocking the door, disappears into the house. A moment later, a light appears in a basement window, only to be quickly blunted by a hastily drawn shade.

Hi! We’re hoping to gain around three more players for an out of the abyss campaign on sundays, around 6 pm EST.

Tales from the Loop is an incredibly enticing system, especially for those looking for a blend of nostalgic ambiance and speculative fiction. The 1980s setting invokes a sense of familiarity for many, yet it's spiced up with a retro-futuristic twist that adds layers of mystery and wonder.

**About the Campaign:** It would be a standard Curse of Strahd book adventure, lasting from lvls 1 to 10. Although, I am not opposing to changing and homebrewing the book a bit, depending on the choices players make.

I am a new DM, but it's not my very first time. I've run a one-shot in person (with success!), but never a full campaign. I've played on Roll20 and FantasyGrounds as 3 different players. I'm a doctoral candidate in the humanities, so I am organized, well read on DnD (and other things?), and detail-oriented. I will do my best to do some voices and sound effects!

Things to know:

• we will meet 1-2 times per month, likely on weekends. Exact time TBD depending on the group's needs. We are all on PDT.

• **Info about how i DM**: I tend to be a Combat Based DM but i will roleplay the NPC's to my best capabilities, expect realism from my point of view, if you try to be sneaky and an enemy starts shouting in a castle, then maybe a few other enemies will approach slowly to investigate, but not the whole "castle" gonna go on alert because one enemy shouted "help" or something like that. I use a lot of different art for almost 99% of the tokens that you will see as the enemies or allies or npc's, if you see repetitiveness then its probably because there aren't any art for that specific enemy, for example bandits... there are so many different art to make a bandit. its millions, but what about a minotaur? see what i mean? On another note i use a lot of different maps for the battle maps also, i don't just use the basic map that the module gives me, i try to find a better one, pay for it and use it, for example a lot of artists from Patreon have a lot of maps for Obelisk already, and i use some of them. That is one example. I use ambience, so on discord i will have a bot that will do ambience on the background, such as windy hilltops, or cave, or town, or horse on a road, like a wagon. and etc. I will not use music since its a little annoying... i think that normal ambience is better, instead of hearing the same music.

I guess just join my game and check it out, since the first session is free.

• **Character Creation**: Roll 4d6 x6 for stats x3 times, choose from the three sets, or use point-buy. Any class or race allowed, within reasonable balance. (But i will most likely say yes) (the point-buy will be custom, so 30 points instead of 27 and limit is 18 for your attribute before adding racial features, so you could have 20 as a starting stat if you choose the correct race, also you can make your stats up to 5, the limit is usually 8 but i will allow you to make them 5, remember lower stats on intelligence means you will also be a little... stupid... Arrghh... rage... barbarian style)

But i try to listen to my players if they want more of something or less of something i try to adapt. After all we are here to have fun and i will try to make the game enjoyable for all.

I also try to personalize the game for my players by adding in some elements from their backstory if possible, some personal story arc and so on

Same with the campaign i try to personalize it by changing things up a little bit ad some things, Change some things. ad or remove others. and not running it 100% by the book.

I have Run this campaign several times and have made some changes to it while still holding true to the original. I use some updated maps. and other small things to make the experience as fun and exciting as possible

About the DM: I have been playing D&D for 10 years and have been running it for my friends and coworkers for the past 4 years.
