Guitar volume too excessively high

I've tried everything by now, changing every parameter in the .ini file and trying the gain built into the game, but I always get a very high tone and in the distortions it's too bad , even in clean and acoustic tones the volume is really too high, it doesn't solve much if I lower the volume knob on the guitar, I have the cable original real tone cable, maybe it's my guitar that sucks? Do you have any other suggestions?

getting game audio to discord/twitch on RS 2014

I know this topic has been covered before but I am using a Scarlett audio interface for Rocksmith along with a webcam to talk to my friends in discord while playing. I've been trying the last couple months to get audio picked up on discord whenever I'm playing so my friends can hear the songs they ask me to play. I have tried windowed mode as well as going through the audio settings in the game to try and get it to work without having to set up obs and digital cables (digital patch cable set ups are beyond me, I am an analogue person). Any tips as to how I can get it working in the most simple way

Low guitar volume using RS_Asio?

Hi! I'm setting up RS Asio, everything is running but im running into an issue where the menu audio, session drums, metronome etc are very loud, but the guitar sounds pretty low. I'm using a Volt 276

My .ini looks like this:

# for "EnableWasapiOutputs" you can use -1 to have a message prompting
# to use either WASAPI or ASIO for output every time you boot the game
[Config]
EnableWasapiOutputs=0
EnableWasapiInputs=0
EnableAsio=1

[Asio]
; available buffer size modes:
; driver - respect buffer size setting set in the driver
; host - use a buffer size as close as possible as that requested by the host application
; custom - use the buffer size specified in CustomBufferSize field
BufferSizeMode=driver
CustomBufferSize=

# if your game hangs or crashes on exit, try setting "EnableRefCountHack" to true.
# when blank or invalid, the value of "EnableRefCountHack" will be interpreted as
# true if RS ASIO detects the usage of Asio4All.
# the same applies for all inputs.
[Asio.Output]
Driver=Universal Audio Volt
BaseChannel=0
AltBaseChannel=
EnableSoftwareEndpointVolumeControl=1
EnableSoftwareMasterVolumeControl=1
SoftwareMasterVolumePercent=100
EnableRefCountHack=

[Asio.Input.0]
Driver=Universal Audio Volt
Channel=0
EnableSoftwareEndpointVolumeControl=1
EnableSoftwareMasterVolumeControl=1
SoftwareMasterVolumePercent=100
EnableRefCountHack=

[Asio.Input.1]
Driver=Universal Audio Volt
Channel=1
EnableSoftwareEndpointVolumeControl=1
EnableSoftwareMasterVolumeControl=1
SoftwareMasterVolumePercent=100
EnableRefCountHack=

[Asio.Input.Mic]

EnableSoftwareEndpointVolumeControl=1
EnableSoftwareMasterVolumeControl=1

Rocksmith+ Not Being Detected on OBS

SETUP

  • Game: Rocksmith+
  • PC: Desktop (Windows 11)
  • Interface: Focusrite 2i2 3rd Gen (Guitar Input 2)
  • Guitar: PRS Custom 24 SE

GAME SETTINGS

  • Audio Device Type: ASIO
  • Input: Focusrite USB ASIO
  • Output: Focusrite USB ASIO
  • Channel: Input 2
  • Sample Rate: 4800
  • Device Buffer Size: 192
  • Engine Buffer Size: 2

SOMEBODY HELP ME!!

I'm trying to have my Rocksmith+ audio connect to OBS but it's not working, I tried using the reastream route with Reaper and it's still not connecting to my OBS. And all the tutorial I am seeing is for Rocksmith 2014 (Which is phase out)

Without considering the Game audio getting picked up by OBS, it is working fine, I can play alright without delay.

Also I can change the setup to:

  • Audio Device Type: WASAPI
  • Input: Analogue 1 + 2 (Focusrite USB Audio)
  • Output: Speakers (Focusrite USB Audio)
  • Channel: Input 2
  • Sample Rate: 48000
  • Audio Exlusivity: Off
  • Engine Buffer Size: 4

This one is getting recognize by OBS but my input is very delayed that it makes the game literally unplayable. Decreasing the buffer size makes the audio very choppy.

HELP! T^T

Mac mini x Rocksmith question

Looking at getting a new mac mini but noticed the new models only include usb-c ports - would using an adapter / hub for usb-a with the realtone cable have any impact on latency in rocksmith ?

Open source alternatives to Rocksmith

I've been looking into playing Rocksmith, but I play on Linux, and I don't want to support Rocksmith+'s subscription service. Are there any alternatives that work with Linux?

Rocksmith usb extension cable

Hi,

I have checked my real tone cable after years and realized that the short usb conversion cable is gone. Lost. I am not sure what happened to that but I need to get another one without replacing the whole real tone cable. I check it online and I always end up with xbox 360 controller pc conversion cables. It looks exactly the same but can’t make sure if that will work with real tone cable. Any experiences, thoughts on this? Thanks.

No Audio Output Device Detected (2024 Windows 11)

I've been playing this on PC for years and even swapped between a focusrite at home, and using a THR30 as interface and speakers when I'm away at work (A lot)

Well my old computer finally bit it. I cannot for the life of me get the new one to work. I got a new Lenovo Legion Windows 11 machine.

No Audio Output Device Detected as the title suggests.

  • I've set everything to 16bit 48000hz.
  • When I copy my THR Asio file into the game config file, it doesn't seem to recognize.
  • RSMods has recognized Asio4All, but won't pick up when I copy the THR config.
  • I have installed the THR remote program which I thought might be the issue but it's made no difference. Driver is installed and up to date in device manager.

Any suggestions?

Hey I just got Rocksmith 2014 but my calibration wont work

You can still hear the guitar fine in game and it works fine in NeuralAmpModeler. I have a Squier Strat. Here is a link to an example. I can hear just fine but the bar wont move

EDIT: I fixed it by lowering my monitor refresh rate to 60hz from 180hz

Rocksmith 2014 Guitar

Found a very lightly used rocksmith 2014 guitar, with game and cables, for xbox360. Just wondering if the guitar that came with rocksmith 2014 was any good? Just for a beginner anyways. It's being sold for 100$ as a package, that a good price? Thanks in advance!

Windows 11 24H2, Rocksmith is being an asshole again

Hi folks,

I've been playing Rocksmith for years, but after the latest update to Win11 24H2, it's once again claiming that " no audio output device detected".

I've set the output once again to 16bit 48 kHz, but this time it doesn't seem to help.

Does anyone know how to make this work on 24h2?

Thanks!

Rs2014 sound issue

I'm using a rocksmith cable on pc with a bass guitar. Intonation and tuning are good. When playing in rocksmith there is absolutely no sustain, it doesn't fade out quickly, the note is played and it cuts off abruptly. Often there isn't any sound when playing the note at all. When playing songs nothing lower that 5th fret low e registers at all.

Could this be a settings issue? Windows issue? Cable issue?

Any help greatly appreciated

Subscription hike!

Where is the logic in Ubisoft hiking up my subscription from £85 p/y to £115 p/y? I would have renewed at £85 but they will now lose a customer and it isn’t as if they would have had to really do anything for their £85…. No renewal loyalty discount, nothing. Very poor business model IMHO.

Just eff right off

Cutting me off right in the middle of jamming to tell me I need to validate my account because I am playing on my computer and not on my PS4 in the basement. Just go to hell, I will not be renewing my subscription. This is a crap way to manage accounts.

Practice mode, note by note, bend sensitivity

Is there any way in hell to to make the game less picky abound getting the bends (and perhaps also vibrato) perfect when using note for note in practice mode / riff repeater.

I'm not trying for absolute perfection here, I'm trying to get the notes down. And having it jerk back to the same note over and fscking over is the most frustration way to get the general pattern of the riff/solo.

I've tried adjusting the "miss tolerance" but it doesn't seem to affect this. And I want it to ensure I hit the correct note, it's just that getting bends perfect is not my goal here, and it's especially difficult to get the rate of bend perfect when playing slowed down.

Question about dynamic difficulty

I came back to 2014 after some time away and I'm loving it, but I've noticed a few of the CustomForge songs I've added like Blackbird for example don't seem to have any difficulty change options. I'm assuming this is because it was fan made and they just threw the full songs tabs in, but I'm hoping maybe there's some modding or options people know of where I can maybe get in there and scale things back a bit? I'm not nearly ready for full complexity Blackbird yet.
