Rocksmith is a music video game series which aims to teach guitar by letting you plug in virtually any guitar or bass and becomes your personal guitar teacher as it monitors how you play.
It dynamically adjusts the difficulty to your skill level, then slowly introduces more notes and phrases until you’re playing your favorite songs note-for-note.
Rocksmith+ is a follow-up to the original Rocksmith franchise, with a major change to a subscription-based music education service. Find out more here!

Hello,
Ever since I updated my BIOS driver on my pc the game crashes after the Ubisoft popup that says "Preparing to launch your game" then it goes black for a second and then the entire pc crashes with a blue screen, the error being "WDF_Violation". Even Ubisoft couldn't help me with this problem and every single other game on the PC runs just fine. How do I fix this? Can anybody relate?
I’m on iPad where they finally have a good Black Friday deal, and it won’t even let me subscribe.
It keeps saying “Sorry, the store is unavailable right now. Please try later.” I have been trying to subscribe since 11:30pm CST last night. Trying to go through customer service, but the response is slow.
I have never subscribed in the past, so that isn’t the problem.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Edit: I now know that I am not alone with this issue. My brother tried to subscribe on his account and got the same error. I think the app isn’t communicating properly with the App Store. Small sample size though.
Trying the free version of Rocksmith+ to see if it might suit what I'm after. I'm using a laptop that is ok if not brilliant, and have a fast broadband connection. Have played a song about 10 times - the majority of the time after I've finished the game has basically gone into meltdown (it's got the busy cassette sign in the bottom corner, so I think it's trying to save, but it just gets permanently stuck and I have to shut the game down).
I know this is the free version but it can't be this bad, surely? Any suggestions, please, as to what I might be doing wrong?
If this plan fails I'm tempted to buy an activation code for Rocksmith Original (I still have the physical game, just not an activation code) - is that a terrible idea?
This is Forza Horizon 2 (update with 4 later) Rocksmith 2014: Pixies - Debaser, Jane's Addiction - Just Because, Royal Blood - Out of the Black, The War On Drugs - Red Eyes
Rocksmith +: The Clash - Train in Vein. The band Thee Oh Sees is in RS+ but I couldnt find the song I came from the mountain on YouTube.
I'm considering getting Rocksmith+ but have a few queries that I can't find any information on elsewhere, despite hours of scouring the interweb... hopefully some experienced people can offer some input!
- Can I use/redeem Ubisoft gift card(s) and use these funds from my Ubisoft wallet for Rocksmith+ subscription?
- Is a full subscription required for access to the song library or can I purchase access to songs individually with just the free access version? And if I can purchase songs individually, can I use my Ubisoft wallet funds for this?
- If I purchase a 3 month subscription, what access will remain once this 3 month period ends?
Thanks in advance for any answers, info or help!
I have read posts that say it works but, is that using the ps3 disc in the ps5? Thanks in advance!
Title. My friend plays chords and I'm doing the beginner course. One note at a time right now. Had my friend over and he played for half a day with chord charts. Now the game is recommending me chord songs and pops up chords when I put the difficulty on beginner and ~10%. Is there a way to reset the beginner difficulty? Or do I need to bomb a bunch of songs? I'm level 20.
Thanks for your time.
So I'm at 143 hours in RS2014, maybe add 60 or so to that from when I previously played the original version of rocksmith. I'm coming from nothing with no formal training, and I have no metric for progress as my wife has adamantly refused when she didn't see immediate progress. I've played at minimum 3 days a week since January.
I use rocksmith do learn guitar with an ABY pedal leading to an AMP
Right now my setup is: Guitar -> ABY Pedal -> Pedal Board -> Amp ( Boss Katana )
ABY Pedal -> Focusrite 2i2 -> Monitor speakers ( JBL 305 )
This way I can play rocksmith through the monitors, but also hear my guitar through the Amp seperately.
I am interested in getting a Strymon Iridium instead of using the Amp. How would I go about doing this? I hear the strymon needs an audio interface. Would getting a bigger audio interface work? ( Like so I can still have that split with the ABY? ). Thanks!!
Hi,
I want to buy rocksmith for learning guitar.. I will buy an Rocksmith True Tone cable since it's the only one working (from what i've read), but the question is - better go for PC version of game, or PS4 (i've got PS5)?
I'm trying to subscribe using the 50% off deal they currently have, but I can't even find a way to start the app.
Went on Ubisoft's store, clicked on Free to play, downloaded UbisoftConnect installer, installed it...
And now when I try to open it, it asks for an activation key, which I of course don't have since it's not even letting me purchase it!
How do I get past this?
Hi everyone, I will be getting a piano for Christmas. I've wanted to play since I was a child and now going to pursue my dream. I wanted to ask about your experiences with rocksmith. Any pros and cons of rocksmith. Is it better to have the app on my phone or get it on ps5. Anything you would like to share would be greatly appreciated.
Does anybody know why this happens? Using a Focusrite 2i2 3rd generation usb audio device. This happens every time i launch the game. Goes without saying it’s not playable. No issues in any other audio application/use.
I have a fender mustang gtx 50 amp, and I'm trying to connect the guitar for rocksmith 2014 through the micro usb out port on the amp. I've tried recording some sound in audacity, and audacity does pick up the sound from the amp through usb. However, rocksmith refuses to see any incoming sounds.
I have installed asio, rs-asio-gui, watched a few guides, but still nothing.
If anyone is using the same or similar amp - please tell me how you did it. Thanks.
I'm trying to get custom song working on a steam deck but I can't seem to get the installer working so was hoping the dll would be enough and save me the hassle
Hey everyone so I recently downloaded an application that increased my volume since my headphones sounded a bit low in volume even at max. But the thing is, after I got it all set up, my rocksmith would no longer give me audio. Im sure if I simply delete the application I’ll receive audio again but I need the application and was wondering if there was a way to just select an output device. I restarted my computer a few times and got nothing back.
Thanks in advance!
First off I have it on xbox one s (as well as PC but not talking about the PC version) the version of rs 2014 on xbox one s on song previews it slows the song preview down and makes an awful noise. I don't if it's the xbox or the game itself but I've had the xbox one s for 7 years and never had a problem. What could this problem be from?
Howdy! I've been trying to master! (master!) Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls, but the way that the Rocksmith devs have made the chart is so weird that I just can't get it down, no matter how much I try. So, I wanted to make my own chart, but I don't know how. I went into Rocksmith workshop, but I can't find a way to get the song in there. Help!
This link is to help anyone who has issues with Rocksmith lowering the USB Guitar Adapter volume.
https://github.com/NotCoffee418/rocksmithvolumefix
Run in the background to keep Rocksmith USB Guitar adapter input volume at max.
Edit: This is only for people who use a splitter to Rocksmith cable and Amp (And have guitar volume at 0% in RS)!
I've already have Rocksmith 2014 & using CDLC, so I've got access to plenty of songs as it is.
Question is - With the Black Friday 50% off deal, is it worth upgradign to Rocksmth +? I've been playing for just over a year, so I'm deifnitely a beginner guitarist. Would Rocksmith+ be more benficial for my learning?
