A place for all who love and cherish the music of the Renaissance.
A History Network MemberAll postings must relate to the music of the Renaissance, whatever that means to you. It would be nice to see submissions that also explore the unknown composers of the Renaissance. Please check to make sure that whatever you post is not a repost i.e. we've probably all heard the Tallis Scholars sing Spem in Alium, therefore, there shouldn't be thirty Youtube videos of the Tallis Scholars singing Spem in Alium (though an admirable recording I must say!) All submissions must include the following: Composer, Title, Performer(s). Maybe you could include a score found in the public domain as well?

I look forward to the daily downvote on every single song I post here. Your attentiveness and consistency is much appreciated! Thank you to whomever you are. ๐
In this Early Music ensemble, theyโre using a drum, and I canโt figure out what type of drum this is. It doesnโt appear to have a rim. Does anyone know what type of drum that is?
