I have an MacBook Pro M4 Pro with the latest version of MacOS Sequoia. My App Store says the app can't be installed on my device? Is this a problem with the M4 processor? Is there any other source I can download the app? How to solve this?
Right after filling out my email and password, I am getting this message, which doesn't allow me to sign into PSN. Does anyone have a fix or workaround?
Remote play is enabled on PS5, both phone and PS5 are connected to the same WiFi, and trying to pair with the 8 digit code on the PlayStation doesn’t work either. What am I missing?
I need some help guys.
So i have connected my phone to the same WiFi as ps4 But it keep saying that i need to be connected to the same WiFi to be able to pair both devices I tryied using mobile data but the same thing happen
I just got a backbone and got it all set up, and RemotePlay set up with my PS5. My phone is an iPhone 13.
Both my phone and PS5 are on my wifi. The wifi router, PS5, and me with the backbone are all in the same room. I did a speed test on the phone: 280ish mbps. I did a speed test on the ps5: 275ish mbps.
As soon as I connect to my PS5 in Remote Play app, I can see my PS5 screen on my phone, but instantly there’s the little logo in the top left corner saying I am about to be disconnected. About 5-10 seconds later, disconnects. It says “you lost connection to your PS5. Your network connection might be unstable. Try moving to another spot or waiting for a while 81221102.
We are all connected to wifi and the speed is good.. What the hell?
Thanks in advance.
Before people tell me i should ask this on r/backbone, i did and havent gotten a response so i was hoping maybe someone here would be able to help me
So i have a backbone one and have had it for a while, i have the playstation version for android and have been using it for my ps4 while im away at college. I recently found out that you dont need backbone+ to use the controller on other platforms for the android version, so i spent some time messing around with it and got it to work on some games i have downloaded on my laptop. I then downloaded ps remote play on my laptop and set it up because i figured it would run smoother on my computer instead of my phone. But ps remote play doesnt recognize the backbone on pc, so i was hoping someone knew a way to get it to work. I know reWASD is popular, but im not really looking to pay for something like that, though i assume that limits my options. Any help that anyone can give me would be great thanks!
So I have remote play setup correctly at my house. I’m able to play everything remotely from a friend’s house with no issue. I’m also able to play remotely from hotel WiFi networks, office and airport networks.
This weekend I was at my parent’s house and was unable to remote play. I keep getting “your internet connection is not fast enough” message. It connects to my PS5 and asks for my pin then gives the error. They have ATT Fibre 300 with Nokia BGW320-505 from ATT. This is in IP Passthrough mode to the Unifi dream machine.
I’ve tried what seems to be everything. I’ve opened ports on both the unifi and the Att router I’ve tried connecting directly to the ATT router with ethernet and WiFi. I’ve tried connecting with WiFi/ethernet to the unifi network I’ve tried multiple devices (iPad Pro, iPhone 14) Not sure what else I can do to get this working.
This seems like a specific problem to my parent’s network. Any suggestions?
Hello
I've been trying to use PS Remote play on pc but the controller isn't working it's connected on my pc via usb, Do I have to use another controller for this to work?
Hey I'm having trouble connecting I've done everything to fix it but for some reason it won't let me use the manual code it keeps saying can't use this feature while another user is remote playing but I haven't got anything connected to it idk what to do any one know how to get the remote play code ??
At my wits end here. I’ve tried remote play on my phone, and portal, both a dud. It used to work once in a blue moon but now I have nothing. On the same network at home and won’t connect. Everything is up to date, and I have enabled port forwarding for 987, 8572, 9297, and 9303 with no result.
The only ones I've tried so far don't let you configure the analogue sticks, I've been looking for solutions for ages but haven't found anything.
My kid was just trying to play astro and we realized it's unplayable without the gyro. Any way to get that working on an android tablet via bluetooth?
I'm not as concerned about astro, but want it remedied if possible
I have a problem with Remote Play wich I haven't been able to figure out the cause nor a way to fix it. Every time that my internet goes out and makes my Remote Play get disconected, the app always has a signal of bad internet, with the video quality getting worse and worse with minutes, and then disconecting entirely. There's no fix to this, it just gets worse and then disconects like that. It takes up about a month for it to fix itself up somehow, and it's not even guaranteed. Does anyone know the cause of this/a solution for it?
I'm going crazy trying to change my profile for remote play. I didn't realise until after I logged in the first time that dual sense and the remote play can't be on the same profile. Now I'm stuck with remote play being on my main profile and when I go to use dual sense I have to use my kids profile which means I can't access my games/saves etc. Is there a way to change remote play so I can pick my kids profile to connect with and then connect dual sense to my main profile? I've tried restarting my MacBook and my ps5 with no luck - every remote play now just auto connects to my profile, doesn't give me the option like the first time
im away from home right now and i tried using the remote play app on windows but it gets stuck on connecting via internet and then it shows a error. it works on my mobile phone while away from home and it also works on windows when connected to my home wifi. can anyone give me tips to fix this?
Hello, When I want to use remote play on my iPad Pro over wifi everything works Niquel As soon as I switch to 5G it doesn't work.. I am at Bouygues (network french) my PS5 is connected via an Ethernet cable I share a connection via my iPhone to the iPad, I have 600Mgbs of speed I tried changing the DNS, I tried IPv6 but nothing worked... It tells me the connection speed is too slow.. I did port forwarding, but it still doesn't work and it gives me Nat type 0
I'm thinking about buying the portal but I'm afraid it will give me the same problem, and besides I have an iPad Pro 12.9 so it's a bit of a shame to pay 200 euros for something less good... Remote play from my iphone works perfectly in 5G
Ps portal better than an iPad Pro 12.9?
Anyone have a solution? THANKS
I would like to play PS5 via Remote Play. I have a Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE and am considering buying the Memo S3 tablet controller. Is the tablet sufficient for Remote Play? Of course, I use the Pxplay app and not Sony's.
Or should I rather get a PS Portal?"
I would appreciate your suggestions or opinions
Visiting family for the holiday and hoped to test out remote play while away from home. It's been flawless on my local network.
I’ve forwarded the ports listed on an image I found in the Portal subreddit. Additionally, UPnP is enabled and the firewall on my router shouldn’t be blocking anything. Additionally, the speeds/connection on the WiFi over here seems okay all things considered, but for whatever reason, I’m still getting a combination of 8801330f, 8801330d, and 88013306. Is there anything I'm missing? I had downloaded MirrorPlay and meant to check it out before leaving but dropped the ball on that, sadly.
EDIT: I ended up resolving this by abandoning the Remote Play app altogether for now. I downloaded Chiaki-ng to my laptop and used a VPN connected to my NAS on my home network to register my console (my girlfriend wasn’t able to come with me for Thanksgiving this year so she was kind enough to give me the PIN). I realize this is probably the least practical advice since it’s so niche, but I’ve been able to play pretty seamlessly since then.
Hi there,
I have a Bell Gigahub modem with my PS5 wired in. Portal working great from home, but can't get it to connect to PS5 from work. I've tried a few videos about port forwarding with no luck. Does anyone have any advice or a good video recommendation?
Thanks for your time!
Edit in case anyone ever looks at this with the same problem. Turns out my modem has a feature called DMZ which puts your IP outside the firewall. I put the PS5 static IP in there and now remote play works like a charm.
Hello,
As the title says, I'm using Chiaki 2.2.0, and I'm having a strange problem.
My PS5 Slim that I previously registered as well as played on is no longer showing up, Yes, the console is in the registered console list, it is powered on, and I'm using Ethernet connections for both my computer and my PS5, which are on the same network.
Any suggestions?
Hello, just bought a Surface Pro 3 , i7 , 16gb ram . It has not arrived yet. I was wondering if anyone uses this device to remote play from their PS5 and if they can pair an Xbox controller for this setup. I will be running Windows 10. PS5 is hard wired to LAN at home. I have a SteamDeck and installed Windows 10 on a SD card , it worked fine for a while but now the game won’t connect to anything except “the tower”. I was looking to see if this would be a better portable solution.
Hi, this is not exactly a review, but just my personal experience. Since I spent weeks reading reddit posts about this, I thought it could help someone in my same situation.
So, this is for all the people thinking: I want a better device for remote playing, better than my laptop/tablet...but should I buy the Portal or a handheld console like the Steam Deck?
Here's my experience. TLDR: think carefully about your use case. Do you think you will actually play a lot outside, like on vacation or on the train, or do you want another console? Buy a Steam Deck. If not, buy a Portal.
The situation: I don't play A LOT (many other things going on) but I liked the possibility to play and still leave the TV for my wife. This was the case for let's say, once or twice a week. I started using my laptop, which was a ok-experience, but since I'm a lazy mf, I wanted something more easy and fast.
The first solution: after weeks and WEEKS of youtube videos, reddit and meditation, I bought a used Steam Deck OLED. Boy, what a device! Let me tell you, it's NEAT. Just holding it is a premium experience. I loved it and I loved the fact that I was also able to use my old Steam library (I used to be a PC Master Race). And what about the Remote Play? Chiacki was PERFECT (insert Homelander meme here). Waaaaay better than the PC: no lag, no dead zone, nothing.
The problem: I realized it just after 2 weeks. Since I don't play too much, and I don't like playing outside (I prefer reading or listening to music), I realised I had a 560€ device (actually I paid it 460€) parked under my TV, used once a week just for remote playing, was a big fat WASTE. it's almost like buying a PS5 (the price is almost the same) and just leaving it there, eating dust.
The second solution: with a bleeding heart, I re-sold my Deck and bought a used Playstation Portal (160€).
The comparison: like night and day, the Deck feels way more premium. The Portal controller seems like a slightly cheaper version of the Dualsense. The Portal's monitor is bigger, sure but the OLED is so CRISPY! And the remote play? Chiacki was better, which is nuts. But the question is: is this differnce worth 300€ difference? My answer is no. And now I feel more confortable if I leave the Portal there for a week without using it (maybe because my wife doesn't want to watch TV). On the plus side, the Portal ergonomics are unbeatable, the Deck dorsal buttons were easily mistakable. And haptics are a nice-have.
So the bottom line is: the Deck is, by all means, a console. Do you want another console besides your PS, and also use it for remote play? Buy the Deck. You just want to remote play? Buy the Portal, and buy it second-hand (220€ is just too much, 180€ is the right price).
Bonus: sure, now the Portal can also stram games from your PS Premium account, so it's a new HUGE plus (not for me, but maybe for you).
So ive been using remote play a lot lately since I live with roomates and they have complained to me about making a lot of noise gaming in the middle of the night. The TV in my room has been broken for the past month and I havent had a chance to get a new one yet. The modem & router in my home are upstairs (my room is on the main level) so I have been leaving my ps5 in the spare bedroom upstairs for my gaming sessions.
My wifi speed both in my room on my macbook and on my ps5 upstairs average at about 250-300mbps download and 11-13 upload. My router already has security cameras plugged into it via ethernet cable so connecting my router ps5 into my router or modem directly is not an option. I do have a wifi satellite though (small box that looks like a router but boosts the internet speed in the room its in) with an ethernet port.
Ive tried running remote play a variety of ways with varying degrees of success.
Connect with both the Ps5 and Macbook on the same wifi network with the wifi satellite in the room with the ps5
Connect with both the Ps5 and Macbook on the same wifi network with the wifi satellite in my room with the Mac
Connect with my ps5 hooked up to the wifi satellite via ethernet in the room upstairs (one room over from the router) and my mac on wifi
Bring the ps5 and wifi satellite into my room and connect with my mac on wifi and ps5 on wired connection.
Ive had success running remote play every single way but even with the viable internet speed most of the time I experience game breaking levels of lag (I play games multiplayer online mostly.) I feel like the few times it has run perfectly was when I ran it doing the first option. What would be the most optimal set up for me to run remote play or what can I do to improve connection?
Ive noticed that when other people in the house are up using the wifi too that it lags almost every time no matter which way I set up, but I have also heard that if you are hooked up to ethernet internet speed should not matter. Ive heard terms like latency and bandwidth are important, but honestly I have no clue what they are, how can I go about improving those? Would getting an increase in internet speed via my ISP fix the issue? thanks in advance
I am currently away from my PS5 for the holiday and was looking to set up remote play. I have made sure that remote play is enabled and that all relevant features available in rest mode are on.
I have the PS Remote Play application downloaded on my Mac, and it is signed in. It doesn't find the PS5 connection automatically (which is expected as it isn't on the same WiFi currently, right?) and instead prompts me to link manually with a code. I had my roommate power on the console and read me the code, but when i inputted it it said that it required a network connection.
I'm afraid I might know the answer to my question already, but does PS5 Remote Play require that I initially set up my remote device on my home WiFi before I can control anything remotely?
Hello guys.
I want to buy a second controller to when I have friends but im still wondering. Can I have one controller connected to remote play on my PC and leave it there, and then quickly have the second one available on the main console? This is just for easiest access so I dont have to connect every single time when change positions from living room and my room.
Does it work easily like that?
i’ve been using remote play on my computer for audio for a while now, my audio from my capture card goes into my computer and i connect to psremote play to hear it. every time i connect to remote play to hear my audio the b06 game mutes all game chat and even my game chat mic and doesn’t let me unmute anything, everything is fine in party chat and doesn’t do anything but when i move to game chat it mutes it, this is the only game that does this, use to play r6 and the game chat always worked.
