So, I've just realised that I'm the only mod left here now... Since I'm not in the country that's not really right.

PM me if you are interested in running this somewhat quiet sub.

Apologies for neglecting this.

What do you look for in a hairdresser?

Hi r/regionalaustralia,

I hope you’re all having a fantastic day so far and are staying safe during these tough times.

My friend and I are currently conducting research into the hairdressing market in Australia. We want to understand people’s preferences towards haircuts, especially during COVID-19 and beyond. We are looking for anyone who could spare 10 mins of their time over the coming week for us to ask you a few questions over the phone. You can remain anonymous and we won’t ask you any personal questions.

Please comment or message me directly if you are interested.

Thank you so much in advance!

[Research] CQU2020 Men's Mental Health Survey - are we too quick to blame men for their own mental health problems?

We're all stuck at home, my work hours are getting me screwed but my research carries on and I need more men to complete my survey looking at attitudes and barriers to seeking mental health supports.

10-15 minute survey on men's attitudes toward seeking mental health support. Help shape men's health policy.

Are we a bit too quick to blame masculinity or is it a fair call? If you have 10-15 minutes spare in this time and want to contribute to how we understand men's mental health please consider taking the time to participate in this research.

All completed surveys can select to go into a draw to win $100 gift card.

Rapid population growth is bad for ordinary Australians, fuelling overdevelopment, job insecurity, wage stagnation, housing unaffordability, destruction of tree cover, & the loss of a say by ordinary people in the character of their cities and towns

Regional Australia needs more psychologists... please help me become one by completing my research questionnaire.

I'm researching for my thesis the role of individual differences in health behaviours. Need to be 18+ and speak fluent English... and be generous with 15 - 20 mins (max) of your time. Thank you in advance.

Moving to Blackall QLD

Hey there! I'm moving to Blackall in western Queensland, and was just curious if there's anyone on here that happens to live in the area (Tambo, Blackall or Longreach) or knows someone that does? I'm just after any words of advice or suggestions on how to make some friends! I'm moving from Canberra, so it's a bit daunting...

So tell me a little about your hometown?

For me I live in Albury, NSW. We have a population of 45,000, the closest major city is Melbourne which is 260Km from here. I only just recently moved here for work, so am still finding things out but just yesterday I went for my first swim in the Murray River. Before here I lived in Geelong, Vic and before that Launceston in Tasmania.
