Any advice/encouragement would be appreciated:
I wear size 12 in Vans/Converse, 13 in New Balance and other running shoes.
I have a 3+ year=old pair of Blacksmiths that took a long time to break in, but are now pretty comfortable with an insole. Always had issues with heel slip until the last year or so when they started to really soften up. Always wished I had gotten the 11.5
I got a new pair of 875's yesterday and tried on both the 11 and 11.5 in store (both D-no EE available there). With the socks I usually wear (Bombas marled cotton), the 11.5 fit perfectly without an extra insole.
I wore them all around the house yesterday for 6+ hours and honestly I thought they were perfect. Snug but not tight, almost no heal slip, length is good.
Just wore them out of the house today, but chose my one pair of thicker smart wool socks.
Now, the left foot still fits great, but my right big toe is cramped and is poking against the upper end of the toe box when I walk. Can still wiggle it a little, but its kind of uncomfortable when walking.
Question: Is it 'ok' that these boots fit perfectly, but ONLY with no additional insole and ONLY with average-thin cotton socks?
I feel like everyone says they should fit well with thick wool socks, and would like to wear thicker socks in winter myself, but with the socks I normally wear, they fit perfectly out of the box.
Do u guys think the right toe box will stretch a smidge?
Thanks!
I bought 2 weekend passes but can't make it to the event. Looks like a fantastic lineup of musicians. Would be a shame to waste. Shoot me a message and I'll send you the tickets.
Hello I am looking for some dog friendly places and events to take my dog to in Red Wing. I want to get him more human socialization, but it is hard to do in the winter time.
I recently moved to Red Wing from Duluth. Was part of a Moto group up there and wondering if there is a group here? I ride an 05’ GSXR750 ✌🏼
We just moved to Red Wing and have never been here before. My girlfriend is celiac and we would love to visit some gluten free restaurants near by as well as stores with different options. Thanks!
Hello Red Wing,
Went through a couple decades ago and marveled at all the eagles on the ice. Does this occur annually/seasonally? If so, does it happen to be going on right now or is it too late or too early? I want to bring my wife over to watch for a while.
Thanks!!!
Sooo I've lived here with my SO for about a year now and we've had a lot of trouble finding people to be friends with. We've been trying to be more active in the community, but we aren't really church goers. Are there any young (20s-30s) people here? And if so where do they hang out? Really any input is appreciated.
I am trying to learn more about the history of retailers in this area.
I spent a night in your fair town about a week and a half ago as part of my Driftless Area vacation. Upon returning home I went down the rabbit hole that is Wikipedia, eventually getting to the article on Red Wing.
I had already known that Greg Norton of Hüsker Dü fame was a former resident (and curious if anyone had ever eaten at The Norton Restaurant), but according to the article, Red Wing hosts a festival in the first weekend of June called Booty Sweat Days.
A cursory look on google didn't show anything, and so I'm beginning to think it's a bunch of BS. Perhaps a kind redditor can shed some light on the subject?
We recently had to order a new radio transmitter to replace our increasingly unreliable, unrepairable, and possibly unsafe nearly 40 year old transmitter. KRPR is asking for your help to make our payments on this new transmitter. Please become a monthly, sustaining donor today!

Hi r/redwingmn,
Tell me what defines Red Wing in Minnesota. What is your favorite restaurant? Favorite local spot? Scenic/nature spot? Cultural landmark - both historical and current?
Any historical stories/information that you feel define Red Wing as a Minnesotan town?
Or what is your favorite personal thing about Red Wing?
Hey does anyone know where I can camp that is near the barn bluffs on the weekends?
I'm not a scammer, just looking for a killer Valentine's Day gift for my husband who is a proud alumnus. I will obviously pay for the shirt, shipping, and a stipend for your time!

I know because I saw him. The judge at his trial said he would never be released because he had dozens of victims. Why wasn't there a statement from the police? I saw him in Wal Mart. Where he scoped out previous victims.
Here is his State record: https://coms.doc.state.mn.us/publicviewer/OffenderDetails/Index/223415/Search
Here is the story and statement from judge.
"The judge said Ottman is likely to spend the rest of his life incarcerated. “In my opinion, that is the right thing to happen," he said, adding that he was convinced Ottman is a “terrible risk to society to re-offend."

wasn't the first time Kelly threatened a fellow officer, documents show. He received oral counseling in October 2012 from former Police Chief Tim Sletten after making inappropriate comments over the police radio. Kelly threatened to punch an officer in the face.
