redditmade Closure Announcement

Hey guys,

I wanted to let you know that redditmade, in its current form, is being phased out of our product offerings.

To provide a little context, we spun up redditmade as an experiment in a new service in October of 2014. We’ve learned a lot from the product’s successes and failures. We thank you for all of your feedback. Even though we’re shutting it down, collaboration with you on this redditmade journey has taught us so much about how to better navigate projects driven by the community, how to serve requests for products and licensing from redditors, and ways to improve our internal processes.

As reddit moves into 2015, we’re redirecting our efforts to our more mature products. Unfortunately, redditmade was not sustainable in the coming year’s plan.

For those of you who have backed a successful campaign and have not received your order(s), I will make sure you get what you paid for.

This applies to those of you waiting for replacement shirts, disc golf bagtags, and decals as well. We’re not relenting in our dedication to following through on our commitment to you.

It's been a true pleasure to work with you all, the creativity and energy behind your projects was inspiring and so much fun! Also, huge kudos to the team that spun up the platform so quickly last year, I've rarely had the opportunity to work with such talented people.

Thanks so much for your participation as makers, customers and community members. Your feedback, honesty and input truly matters.

Sincerely,

rhygaar

redditmade Bi-Weekly Update (01/24/15)

Hi everyone!

Welcome to this week's redditmade update!

The Updates

  • We're back and in our new offices!
  • Custom campaign variations are live

##Coming soon

  • More custom campaigns
  • Payment method update for customers

The holidays have come and gone, and our team has (sort of) settled into our new offices in San Francisco. Things are beginning to move forward again. As the office comes together, we're busy refining the 2015 for redditmade, with a focus on getting the product out of BETA this Spring. That means you'll be seeing more functional improvements than new features until then. With that in mind, I'm rolling us back to bi-weekly updates.

/u/Bradofarrell is working hard to get through proposals and create a better offering of products.

Thanks!

Still waiting on response from reddit for commercial rights. What gives?

I posted a Snoo figurine a while ago on Imgur and redditmade declined the project because I didn't own the rights. Sent them an e-mail on December 29th and still no response. Can anyone help?

Not sure if I can post a link on here so I'll just post it if someone asks.

When should I expect my order?

The campaign I supported ended a while ago and was very successful - but I haven't heard anything about when the orders will be shipped. I've tried submitting the contact form on the redditmade website but have had no success getting anyone to contact me.

Received wrong T-shirt size

I ordered the PCMR shirt in a women's XL but received what looks like a child's (or maybe petite?) medium. Does anyone know if/how I can get it exchanged for the size I ordered? Or if the medium shirt I received is in fact for an adult woman, am I able to exchange it for a men's XL? It's terribly small and I'm worried even the XL won't fit.

How to track parcel? - PCMR T Shirt

So I got an email:

Just wondering how I track my package as none of the numbers/codes in the email work on either tracking site.

I emailed support.. but heard nothing back.

Order missing one of the shirts

I received my order, unfortunately half of it was missing! The packing list has both on it but only one shirt was in the box.

I emailed: support@redditmade.com but have not received a response. Not sure if the email address isn't monitored or just slow turn around.

How can I get this resolved? Please advise if anyone knows of a way

Thank you

A couple questions

  1. Is using Snoo (Reddit Alien) allowed or are there licensing agreements we must get directly from reddit?

  2. If I want to sell clothing can I make the apparel myself or does redditmade need to make all the apparel?

Question: Where is my order?

So about two weeks ago I ordered "The Official T-shirt of the Glorious PC MASTER RACE" and I have yet to receive any form of shipping notice or expected arrival date. I am also unable to track the package. Am I just out $22.50? Or is there still hope for my shirt?

redditmade Weekly Update (12/19/14)

Hi everyone!

Welcome to this week's redditmade update!

The Updates

  • We've added a new team member! Please welcome /u/bradofarrell, who will be leading the way on custom campaigns and helping campaigns become successful (lots of fun experimentation on this front!!)
  • First-round shirts are printing and shipping!!
  • Shipment notifications are going out
  • Size selection for T-shirts now defaults to none, you need to choose a size before you can checkout
  • Canceled orders are being refunded correctly
  • Legal AMA update

This will happen in early 2015

Known Issues

##Coming soon

  • Custom Product variations (testing, should be live next week)
  • A pass to generally tighten up the experience and address some UI/UX issues

The holidays are nearly here. We won't be doing weekly updates for 2-3 weeks, depending on schedules. Many of our team are relocating to San Francisco in early January, so updates may be lean and/or nonexistent while we make our way through the holidays and moves.

Thanks!

Way to pay without imputing credit card?

I want to buy stuff, but I don't want to input my credit card. Is there a way to pay without giving you my credit card (like paypal)?

redditmade Weekly Update (12/12/14)

Hi everyone!

Welcome to this week's redditmade update!

The Updates

  • Filtering and Sorting are in!
  • Legal AMA update

This will happen in early 2015

Known Issues

  • If you’re still having login issues (invalid email) please contact us at support@redditmade.com
  • I’ve sent out an email seeking verification of some shirt sizes, as I suspect some of you have the wrong size on your order. This is particular to the /r/Doctorswithoutboards T-shirt campaign.

##Coming soon

  • Custom Product variations
  • Improved size selection for T-shirt campaigns
  • A pass to generally tighten up the experience and address some UI/UX issues
  • A new team member is coming! We’re very excited to get some more help on the product, we’ll announce and introduce more formally when we’ve settled our new team member in.

With the holidays in full swing, we won’t likely be implementing many major changes while the staff enjoys some time with their families, and we begin our great migration to stormy San Francisco.

Regarding delivery of your T-shirts. Shirts are printed and shipped, and you should receive your shirt 7-14 (domestic) or 14-21 (international) days after a funded campaign ends. You will receive email notification (with a tracking #) when your shirts go out.

Thanks!

Question: This site only for swag gear or can we submit games?

We are currently in development for a new game using a new engine. We are looking to get it crowd-funded and we're interested in submitting the idea to redditmade. I didn't find anywhere on the site where it states what kind of projects are allowed/disallowed (maybe I didn't look hard enough?) My question is can we submit games that are currently in development? Thanks!

Additional subreddits to post a redditmade t-shirt

Recently, I have designed a pop up snoo t-shirt and I'm willing to share it with as many as I can on reddit. Could anyone suggest additional subreddits where I can share the link without being restricted?

Anyways, here's the snoo everybody wishes to carry along with. Get one now!
