I know how to search for a specific name of a subreddit, and I see the suggested ones on the sidebar, but I'm struggling to find more niche variations. Things like, geographically related subs but not the main one, or ones with a nickname for the area. Not just geographic, but that's the easiest example.

Ios notifications won't stop for a particular subreddit I joined. I went into basic settings in the app and shut OFF the notifications for this sub. It's a sub that's meaningful to me and I am knowledgeable in its topic, but I never want the continuous ping of notifications from it. No idea why they keep coming. It's triggering enough to make me want to stop all notifications from reddit in my iphone settings, etc. I'm in lots of subs but I joined this one recently and for some reason get incessantly pinged about someone's got some new thread, a question that I really don't want to know about without my initiating visiting the subreddit.

My username is verisof. Always has been. But I used to have another display name (which was changed so long ago I can no longer remember it.)

Approximately 2 years ago or so, I got hit with ransomware and the hacker took everything and hacked ALL of my accounts. My Facebook account was deleted because they were a bad actor and Facebook wouldn't even talk to me about it. My Plex account was hacked. They even tried to blackmail me and my girlfriend (by sending compromising pictures to HER email address) at the time.

You know the routine.

At some point, and somehow, they changed this display name.

I can tell you that at NO POINT would I have chosen Dangerous Town as a display name for myself. I'm more of <insert cool sci fi or risque name here> kind of guy.

It looks as if I can't change it at all. But this was not what I chose and I would not want to get stuck with it forever. I also would not like to lose all the comments and history I already have here.

What can we do?

Which reminds me, we all have the same usernames. Can you have multiple display names for multiple groups? For instance, I wouldn't want to have the same display name for a vanilla group if I were into some hardcore kink group, you know?

I'm referring to the yellow background that encompasses comments that have received awards. I realize this doesn't bother 99% of people. I do have some issues and I'll own that, but I do have vision difficulty with certain contrast schemes and the white on yellow text is difficult, and I also struggle focusing on pages with too many elements trying to corral my attention. Usually if a post is popular enough to have a lot of awarded comments I usually just stop reading.

I'm not trying to complain or change the feature for anyone else. But I've had a real hard time finding much information on it (searching reddit gold/reddit awards/reddit comments all kinda returns the entire site), and I'm just looking for any options for disabling the feature. I haven't been able to find one in Reddit settings though that would be ideal, is there perhaps an extension people have had luck with using that can simply remove the yellow background?

I’m trying to post in a chat on a thread and keep getting that error. I have tons of karma and an older account. Do I need to actively participate in the subreddit?

Every time I post it shows it is [removed]. I don't know why. My post don't even violate any community guidelines and still it is getting removed. If they implement some type of b*n or susp**sion on my account, why don't they tell me rather than leave me guessing? I need to be on reddit to keep up with any news or updates. Also it is best way to discuss with audience, and I don't there are any other alternative platforms besides this.

Bit of a niche one but here we go,

I’ve been trying to get a subreddit taken down or removed in some way, it’s a subreddit devoted to leaking third party mods for a video game. I sent an email to reddit support filling out the form and submitting, then following up after 72 hours, however it has been over a week now and I have heard nothing back.

Is there any other way of getting this subreddit removed or do I just have to wait for Reddit to respond?

I’m not sure how to explain it. When I first created my Reddit there was a feature where when you published something you could share it to only that subreddit or have it publish on both the subreddit and your profile. So instead of your profile showing what you posted there AND everything you posted in subreddits it would ONLY be things you posted on your personal page… does anyone know if that feature is still around?

When i look at my profile my picture is labeled as not safe for work. I don’t know for sure but I’m guess this is because I’m trans and people went in and started marking it as NSFW. To be fair this is literally the business professional picture i use on my linked in account. It’s clearly a safe for work picture. How do I fix this? 😭 why are people so f**king cruel?

I have a red notification on the chats tab. I have no unread messages. I only have a single chat message and ive read it over and over agina and the notification won't go away.

This is infuriating.

Why when a block the post author do a still see everyone else comment below surely it should mean there blocked as well.
