It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. r/recap is closing.

We weren’t here for a long time, but it sure was a good time (we think). We’re closing r/recap, but don’t worry, the Recap experience will still be available in the iOS and Android apps. Make sure to check out your personal Recap and see if your favorite community has one, too.

As a reminder, here’s how:

  • Visit https://www.reddit.com/recap to view your Recap or your favorite community’s Recap (though not all communities will have Recaps).
  • If you don’t see any Recaps, it may be because your app hasn’t been updated. First, try refreshing your app; if that doesn’t work, then download the newest version. Update your iOS app here and your Android app here.
  • And remember:
    • Recap is unavailable on desktop; you must be on our iOS or Android app to view.
    • Data is reflected up to November 1st. Anything after is not included.
    • If you don’t receive a User Recap, it may be because you did not spend enough time on supported Reddit platforms this year before November 1st.
    • Sorry, data from Old Reddit is not included in Recap.

Signing off,

Your fav sentient brand

Any particular reason why some communities get recaps and others don't?

My community HorrorMovies didn't get a recap but smaller subs I run did.

Why?
