He just needs time, I think it is a confidence issue cuz he hasn't attempted his trademark finish much since he joined the team, a shot to the near post.

We have had talents like Modric that needed times to adjust. He went from being considered a flop to being one of the GOATs of the game and a Real Madrid legend.
It is not too late for Mbappe
I’ve always been a Kroos fan, and I KNEW for a fact that his departure was going to affect us big time, now, however I’ve realized that more casual fans are noticing it too. My ex-gf, who started watching Madrid last year with me, surprisingly pointed it out a few days ago. “You can really tell Kroos is not playing on the team”. I was flabbergasted.
The worst part is that he’s irreplaceable. Sure, we’ll have other amazing players and we’ll adapt to their play style, but gone are the days we see a puppeteer managing the midfield live.
I miss Kroos.
I have been a fan of this team since 2002, We did not have international football channels, my dad got us a receiver to watch the 2002 WC and I fell in love with R9. He was the reason why I started following Real Madrid.
I don't know if it was because I was naive or I was not into football politics, we weren't universally despised. I remember we were made fun of the Glagticos failing to win trophies despite all those stars but that was it. All of our footballers were universally loved.
It is becoming clearer and clearer everyday that everything that we do, will always be downplayed.
Teams hate us because we are the best, fans hate us because we are the best and above all UEFA and Čeferin hate us.
I get that they are butthurt cuz we have more than double the CL of the next top team, I know that they are butthurt that our players have more CLs than the history of clubs like Barca, Bayern...etc.'
but I am TIRED of being downplayed. There is ALWAYS an EXCUSE for everything that we accomplish. Everybody is in awe at what other players do, teams and players are always rated high than ours, our accomplishments and skills are always downplayed.
You literally can't put an unofficial positive post about Real Madrid on r/soccer without it being taken down. I have been on reddit for more than 10 years and I have yet to see a fluff Real Madrid or a post that puts us in a positive light not being taken down. Just look at all the posts that are let through about Barca or any other team.
I've seen how Vini plays, He has been the difference maker in almost all of our wins. He has manage to do things that only CR7 and Messi have done, why does he get downplayed? It wasn't even one week since he pulled a hattrick from thin air basically saving our UCL season. Imagine if it was any other team's player who did that...
I saw a quote today by Ceferin and the guy is absolutely despicable, he downplayed Vini and acted like he is just an ordinary player and said that if Rodri was in Real Madrid, Rodri would still it over Vini. (https://x.com/topskillsportuk/status/1851938656467997182). Wasn't Vini the one who has been carrying the team time after time in the same tournament you guys organize? the CL which is our bitch?
All of our players get downplayed. Even Jude, when he was in Durtmond he was univerally praised and when he came to Real Madrid, his accompishments get Downplayed? There was a thread the other day about Vini and Jude not getting votes cuz they dont perform for thir NT. Wasn't Jude the one who was clutch for England? I remember the most liked comment was something like " Apart from his goals, if you see him play, he is an orginary player" and that is coming from an English fan.
The moment you wear a Real Madrid shirt, all your accomplishments will get downplayed!
2018 seemed like such a long time ago, and I remember there being a time where this whole sub wanted Vini out but I defended him.
I present to you my favorite player on the team, The most classless player in the entirety of football: Vinicius Jr
(Ps, not my video, thus if you don't like the music choice then play on mute)
Is Cristiano Ronaldo the only player in football history to successfully transition from a pure winger to a world-class striker? Ronaldo’s evolution from a speedy winger to a prolific goal-scorer is iconic, but I'm curious if anyone else has pulled off a similar transformation as seamlessly. Vini seems to be developing similar traits, becoming more dangerous up front, and Mbappe seems like he has that potential too.
Do you think Vini and Mbappe could follow in Ronaldo’s footsteps and reach that same level of impact as strikers?
Day 2 will include even a better pair, stay tuned!
(This series is just for some jokes that are meant to lift the spirit of the sub after the recent events, please don't remove my post dear mods 👉🥺👈)
Got the video from @termix_66 on tiktok
We should talk about how bad Real Madrid looks without Toni Kroos. He is the biggest loss I've seen in a long time because you can't replace a player of his calibre so easily. This is not easy and we're noticing how difficult and unorganised we are without him, every single game. Our midfield looks LOST. Mbappe, Vini, Jude, yeah they're trying but still cannot fit into it.
Every game the midfield is open for counter attacks, our defense keeps getting run at and nobody in the midfield is helping them apart from Valverde. In my opinion, not having the leadership and control of Toni Kroos is difficult for us to adapt to. We need to fix it.
Which player could be a fit for Kroos' replacement? It could be Nicolo Barella in my opinion.
Hi,
I have been a Real Madrid fan for as long as I can remember but never had the chance to go to a game and decided this is the year. Is there anybody else at all going to any games that would want to tag along? Or if there is some sort of community or group out there who organise these things?
Cheers
I first want to say that I really like Davies and love watching him play. He’s so good.
However
I don’t think that he would be a good pairing with Vinicius. Vini, for the most part does not track back very often. Davies likes to attack and pushes up on the pitch a lot. This could create gaps in the defense to be exploited on counters. We also already have an overload of players that want to play or naturally drift to the left wing.
We also don’t really need him - we already have two left backs, Alaba, and Camavinga in case of emergency. I’d rather the club find another RB, and a better rotation CB than Vallejo.
Modric and Ronaldo in 2018 technically counts too (although CR7 was a Juventus player at the time of the ceremony).
And these are just cases of the top 2 or 3 players from the same club (sometimes nation too). There are endless cases of someone winning and his teammate finishing 3rd. Most of Messi's wins are that way (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2023).
So historically, pretty much the only time the "split votes" thing hurt a potential winner in the 68 years this awards exist was...2024. (and if not the only time, one of the extremely rare cases)
i remember during the 2022 season when we won the champions league, everyone complimented and said how "Madrid saved football" especially after the man city comeback. everyone thought it was the most deserved champions league, most deserved balon d'or (to benzema). after that we became "vardrid" and "crybabys" and whatever who cares right? but what really bothers me is how everyone switched on us only after barcas referee allegations came to light. suddenly its Madrid who pay refs and "this is how they have all those champions league (even 2022).
Given that he's playing a different role in the team compared to last year and that it isn't probably going to change (unless we go strikerless which is highly unlikely) in the coming seasons...
Do y'all think this year was the best chance he had to win the Ballon d'or?
I know it lost it's credibility etc etc but these trophies are what will stay in the future as people will slowly forget how important a player was for a team in a specific season(maybe?)
Anyways...we will never know, Rodri won it playing as a DM so...
