2s Lipo Battery suggestions with xt60 connection

I’m new to RC and have bought a second hand car RMX 2.0. I need to use a 2s battery and the connections are xt60. Does anyone have any suggestions for batteries and charger that is affordable for a beginner?

Titanium LP-86 parts!

The goal was to stiffen up the rear end of the LP-86 and add weight over the rear axle along with the functionality of a rear bumper mount and fan mount.

AE DC10 Build

New to drifting building an AE DC10 what’s the best servo and gyro setup? Also is the hobbywing one of the better drift ESC’s out there? I run hobbywing in all my off-road race cars so always had good luck with it. Looking for suggestions it’s a no budget build.

Tire wear - camber

MST RMX EX S Pro. Had rear camber set to -2 to -3. Tires were wearing middle to inside edge. Would setting to 0 be acceptable? Or not enough speed into drifts? New drifter. Just trying to tinker/tune a bit.

Help me choose.

Hi everyone, so far I've been rocking a MST RMX 2.5s with the following upgrades:-

Carbon fibre chassis and shock towers Hobbywing XD10 pro esc and motor combo TR60 shocks with soft MST springs Noble NB4+ Yokomo V4 gyro Reve D RS-ST servo

I've had a quick shot of some albeit modified YD2 & RDX chassis at my local track and I really liked both of these so I'm now considering buying a second chassis as I have spare electronics I can swap over to the rmx and use the current setup on whatever I decide for my next project.

So I've been looking at mainly the Yokomo SD2.0 or a RDX (new as I enjoy the building process and like to know how they've been assembled)

I know the RDX performs well as stock but I'd prefer to add a gear diff or c-lsd instead of the spool as our club track runs on P-tile. I would also add a carbon chassis and possibly turnbuckles down the road just to reduce rear camber a little basically.

This would effectively make the RDX a similar(ish) price to the Yokomo which has carbon deck, gear diff and turnbuckles already included but also has an aluminium gearbox, shock towers and suspension mounts that I would not have with the RDX even after the upgrades.

So for those of you that have both or tried any of these chassis, which one do you recommend? I want something that is going to last me a long time and have available parts unlike the MST.

Any and all input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Elceram Oxide

Does anyone here have personal experience with the Elceram Oxide ESC? I've been looking to upgrade my setup and was ready to pull the pin on an XD10 pro but I found these available for near the same price at a local store.

Any help greatly appreciated. 🙏

Fitting tires on wheels

I just bought OVERDOSE X VALINO PERGEA 08RS 30MM tires trying to fit them on Tamiya 300050549 bbs mesh style wheels and the tires slide on and off very easy. I’ve only ever put DS racing tires on once before and had to heat up tires in hot water then put them on wheels with foam strips then they cool off and fit securely other than foam strips (that do not come with the pergea tires) is that all I’m missing? Will the foam strips make all the difference in a secure install?

Motor and Esc for Lp-86

I am pondering what motor and esc to put into my Lp-86. I am gravitating towards a 15T brushed Motor and 79 Amp Esc. Does anyone have insight into whether this would be viable?

Getting back into RC Drifting, looking for suggestions.

Hey All,

I've been looking at getting back into RC Drifting. The last time I did anything with this portion of the hobby was in the mid 2000s, when everyone was just drifting with cut PVC pipes for tires on 4WD chassis's and the only community was the RC Dori forums. For context, I am still into the RC hobby, so I already have items like a radio, charger, and any other supporting items. Also, the space I will be using is a 3-car garage with a smooth concrete floor. With all that said, I am just looking for some insight on my wishlist for my build. I am trying to keep it below $1000, and I realize a lot of this stuff might be overkill, but I'd rather buy once and cry once rather than buy something twice.

What I've got so far: Chassis: MST RMX 2.5 RS ESC: Hobbywing Xerun XD10 Pro Drift Spec Motor: Hobbywing Xerun D10 Drift 13.5T Servo: Futaba HPS-CD700 Gryo: Futaba GYD550 Radio: Futaba T4PM Plus (Already owned) Body: Tamiya R34 Z-Tune

I am open to any suggestions for any of the equipment, but my main reason for sticking with Futaba equipment is the fact that I already own a Futaba radio. Based on some of my research and the Super G Drift Buyers Guide. It seems like it makes sense to use Futaba electronics. But I would love to hear anyone else's experience.

The last item I really don't know anything about is tires. Like any motorsport, tires are super important. The only drift tires I have currently are some Advan Neova reps, which I know nothing about. I will be drifting on my garage floor, which is currently unpainted but in the future will be epoxyed. So any suggestions there would be appreciated. Also, had to repost this. The first time I posted, the body of the message didn't appear.

Did my first drift comp!

Our local track had a comp on Saturday, it was for Super G's SDC series. I've always been far too nervous to do any comps, I'm more of a weekend warrior who just likes to drift with my buddies. 16 drivers showed up, most did the entire SDC series already so I went up against guys who were seasoned veterans. I ended up 7th place, I would have done better had I actually practiced how to chase in tandems. Next weekend my buddies and I are gonna go learn how to chase in tandems so we have a fighting chance the next comp.

Here's one of my runs, I'm lead car.
