I have stable 90 FPS all time everywhere but as soon as I hit ignition on frames drop somewhere 30 - 50 fps. What is wrong? Used to have great performance with rfactor but not anymore

Hey all! I have a small group of friends (4 of us) that race together regularly and we really enjoy multi-class racing. This is rather difficult with only 4 people so we were wondering if there was any interest in the community for a super causal multi-class racing "almost" league. We tend to race Tuesday evenings and we are all in North America. LMK if this sounds like something you would enjoy!

The RSA Monday Night GT3 Fall 2024 Series starts on 11/11/24. Come join a fun group of casual racers. If you can't make all of the races, you are still welcome to join in on the fun. Races will start at 8:00pm Pacific time and consist of the following format:

Event Format:

• 30 minute practice
• 10 minute qualifying
• 5 minute break
• Race #1 - 15 minute sprint
• 10 minute break
• Race #2 - 25 minutes (reverse grid start and 1 pitstop is required)

2. Istanbul - 11/18/24
3. Kyalami - 11/25/24
4. Salzburgring - 12/2/24
5. Circuit de Dijon-Prenois - 12/9/24

1. 2X tire wear
2. Open setups
3. Invulnerability off but damage multiplier will be set to 20%
4. No restarts
5. Pitstop in Race #2 required (if missed will result in DQ)
6. No driving aids other than auto clutch and what is built into GT3 cars

I’ve heard that nothing new is coming to rfactor which kinda sucks but does anybody know if the new gen 4 Formula E cars will come to rfactor. Or should I give up on believing anything new will come to the game?

I've been running rFactor2 in VR for ages using a Varjo Aero, however recently, seemingly without any input from me, the menus are running really low FPS in the menus only. Once I load into a track the FPS jumps from around 20fps to 90fps.

If I hop out and load task manager CPU is around 25% utilised and graphics card at that point is not being overly utilised. SteamVR graph shows really low utilisation too. So it's like something is interfering.

The only things to update are SteamVR and Steam which do so automatically so could be one of those has introduced something.

Anyone had this and found a solution?

There’s this f1 themed resto bar in the Philippines (Monza Barcade) and I want to know what game/mod they are using for their sim so i can practice at home because they held occasional tournaments there. The staff said it was rfactor 2 and i just bought the game today and i dont know what mod to download.

Best sites to find Spanish Rfactor 2 multiplayer online lobbies?

I downloaded F1 skins for the Formula Pro car on rfactor. They’re great but now I want to dabble in making my own skins or editing current ones. I looked up all the information and it says to look for the DDS files of the skins. However when I look mine up, it has all 20 liveries for f1 under one file and it’s a rfcmp file. How do I look at the individual liveries as dds files and edit them?

Do I have to either hunt for my mouse whilst wearing the headset/take the headset off to navigate the menus whilst in vr or is there some easier way to do it?I'm using virtual desktop and Ive found in other games that I can just switch to desktop and use the motion controllers to select something.in r factor 2 this doesn't work.i really want to enjoy playing this game but having to take the headset off and getting out of my racing rig to use the mouse evertime I want to start a race is very annoying.

So I’m a little new to rfactor so this post is genuinely a question, even though it might seem like I’m kind of bashing these mods. Getting on rfactor was so exciting because everyone talked about how great the ffb is on rfactor and it seems to win every review I’ve read about which sim is the most realistic driving experience. I do plan to actually test this myself but I’m focusing on rfactor until the end of this year before I check out the other popular sims. So as I got into this sim the first thing I wanted to do was try out all these great f1 mods I’ve read about. I found 3 of the highest rated and tried them all. Now, at the same time I bought and downloaded the formula pro car made by studio 397. I had no desire to really use this car but wanted to compare it to the mods. After driving all the mods and then the car made by studio 397 I am extremely confused why anyone is downloading these mods and rating them to be anything of value. The ffb on these mods is horrendous. You can’t feel anything in the wheel that you feel with the formula pro car (made by studio 397). It feels like I’m just playing the f1 games and we all agree those are the worst physics and feedback you can get and is basically an arcade game. There’s 0 indication in the wheel if you’re scrubbing tires, losing traction, or for any kind of lock up. Meanwhile in a car truly meant for the sim I’m getting all that feedback. Is there settings that need to be adjusted for these mods to give you the proper feedback? Do these mods not give that kind of feedback? And if not, why is anyone downloading these and even more, why would they be reviewed so highly? It’s so so bad compared to what the real driving experience should be that I’m convinced my settings must be jacked up when driving the mods. Looking for feedback from the rfactor community on this, cuz I’m very disappointed.

I just now finished an F3 race at Nola Park and we were only 2 racers. Other player leaved so I was alone. I raced but race was modified to unofficial. No sr no rr updates.
How many cars have to race to get ratings ?

The Mazda MX-5 Spec Miata Cup uses the mid spec1 1800cc 1994-97 models. These cars are lightweight and incredibly agile which makes them incredibly fun to throw around corners. Each round will feature two 20 minute sprint races with a reverse grid for the second race.

Hello. Im new in Rfactor 2. I entered and the multiplayer lobbies are a bit poor. I would like to know if is there any change to find multiplayer races as Content Manager does in Assetto Corsa. Thank you in advance

Bought and installed the Formula E Gen 3 cars.

When I drove one of the cars, steering wheel keeps vibrating. It's as if I'm holding a jack hammer.

Currently using the MOZA R5 Bundle.

Any idea what might be causing it?

Greatly appreciate for any hints or leads to solving it.

I’m new to rfactor 2 and am loving the formula pro car. I know it doesn’t have the ERS but it handles just like a formula 1 car and has that powerful v10 to make up the difference. I found a league but we are getting to the end of the season before a break. I’m wondering if there are more leagues out there for the formula pro car and I’d love to join. It's back to Italy for the 3rd time this year. Monza is a very fast track that features a wild crossover, incorporating a high-banked oval and a series of chicanes designed to try and keep the speeds slightly less than insane. A truly challenging experience for all drivers and cars.

Hey guys, newbie here and I was wondering if there is any kind of mod to change the virtual steering wheel MFD on the formula pro car. I race in VR, have been having trouble getting overlays to show up (completely different story and I am working on the fix). But I was wondering if there were any mods that just change what I see on the virtual steering wheel besides tire temps, last lap, and best lap. It'd be nice to see a delta time showing on there or maybe even some delta times of the person in front of me or behind me. Not sure if this is a thing but thought I'd ask you guys and see if there is anything like this. thanks!
