I don't get it why so many people think it's one of their best albums. It has grown on me recently songs like I sat by the ocean, if I had a tail, smooth sailing, and I appear missing are truly amazing. That's like half the album lmao but the rest of the album is just alright. I don't know where I'd put it in a ranking of their albums maybe at 5 or 6.
So i used to really dislike the whole Villains album, but then I started listening to Fortress and Hideaway. Recently, I’ve developed a unhealthy love for Feet Don’t Fail Me. I listen to it so much! It’s just such a groovy track, and the buildup is honestly next level. The bassline is sooooo funky, and the guitar riffs is just so satisfying! My favourite bit, is when Josh says “ on and on and on and on”, and like the music quietens down, and then builds up again. Does anyone else think this might be the ultimate QOTSA buildup song?
I love to draw faces and I realised I’ve never drew QOTSA guys yet, so working on it! What do you think so far?
If it weren't for the sloppiness of my playing, it would've sounded good.
I don’t understand all the Villains hate, it’s not their best album but damn… Hideaway? Fortress? Those are some deep songs man.
Hey everyone, just a quick banjo (and guitar bow) cover I made of Go with the flow - recorded on GarageBand on an IPhone
As someone who has spent years absorbing every layer of Noctourniquet, I never imagined hearing it in a completely new form—but NoctournEdit delivers just that. BenProgfuse’s meticulous reconstruction doesn’t just remix the album; it reshapes it into something that feels both familiar and refreshingly new.
By pulling from the band’s 2011-2012 live performances, isolated studio elements, and even other TMV-related projects, this edit bridges the gap between the Noctourniquet we got and the one many of us imagined when we first heard those songs live. Additional elements such as: Flea & Eva’s bass, John Theodore & Thomas Pridgen’s drumming, and subtle Easter eggs throughout make each listen an adventure. Some tracks, like Vedamalady, take unexpected but fitting detours, while others feel like the live energy we always wished had been captured in the studio.
Not every track is included (The Malkin Jewel and Zed and Two Naughts were blocked on YouTube), but what remains is a love letter to Noctourniquet—not a replacement, but a reimagining that fans will appreciate. After countless listens, I can say this: NoctournEdit is the closest we’ll ever get to a true live-studio hybrid of this era of TMV, and it’s absolutely worth experiencing.
Let's continue our throwback posts. How about a video from exact 26 years ago @ the venue 'Euclid Tavern' in #Cleveland, OH?
Watch and enjoy 'The Bronze'.

Been a while since I shared any of my covers on the sub, but this feels like a big milestone for me.
I'd started doing acoustic covers on a semi-regular basis during lockdowns to keep myself from going crazy, and always had the most fun trying to figure out how to cram all the instruments for the TCV songs into a somewhat playable acoustic version and sing em. After almost 5 years peppering the channel with them, I've finally posted the last one, and my tracklist playlist is now complete (including Interlude):

I definitely left Elephants until last because I knew it would almost break me.
I just thought of this idea while listening to INTR and I know it’s a messy edit but it was only quick, if anyone wants to take this idea and make a better use of it feel free 👍
IS era vulgaris the most qotsa qotsa album,
If not which one would you argue for and why?
Cool guy and pretty funny - made a joke about how him selling his own merch is him “going downhill” when he overheard me telling the coworker I dragged to the show that he plays for QOTSA.
Knowing Josh is a big Jimmy Page fan, and finding this song recently, it gives me very Queens-esque vibes with some of the odd note choices and chord progressions. I thought other Queens fans might enjoy it if you haven’t heard it before!
The most upvoted comment will have their song added onto the playlist.
ignore my shitty vox i couldn’t sing if my life depended on it
At about 1:50 I for some reason can hear the Minecraft grass block breaking sound I don’t know why
Great LA Rock album from the family vault
