Dog has red spots all over body

7 month old Great Pyrenees puppy has these red spots all over his body and he’s always itchy. Could it be just an allergy or something more serious?

Fang is sideways

My puppy is at the age where he’s losing his baby teeth. I was just checking out his mouth and found out one of his long fangs are bent sideways. Should I be concerned about this or just wait it out?

Sorry about the angle, this is the best photo I could take.

What I wish I knew before getting a puppy

I knew being a dog owner would be challenging but I didn’t think it would be this hard. I empathize with all the others experiencing puppy blues because none of us can anticipate getting a new dog and how it completely changes your life. I wish I would have known that I would lose my independence because taking care of a puppy is a full time job. Life revolves around the endless needs of a dog. Expect to have sleep disrupted, carpets ruined with accidents, ripped clothes and chewed phone cords. I wish I would have known how expensive it would be: food, vet bills, toys, grooming, bones, obedience training, and all other unforeseen costs. I wish I would have know how my patience would be tested, how it would affect my routine, relationships and job. Expect anxiety levels to rise and shed tears of exhaustion and frustration. It’s not all hard work. Expect to laugh a lot and feel unconditional love from a new friend. Enjoy the long walks, play time in nature and being more present. I’ve had Coco for 6 months and it’s already been a wild ride. I’m determined to push through the challenges of being a dog owner because I’m learning about myself and what I’m capable of. Hoping to have a sidekick in life for many years to come.

Help! Does this require immediate vet assistance or is there anything I can do to help her without a vet bill??

I have a 7 month old rescue. She's about 10lbs and i've noticed that the last 3 weeks she has had red paws. The first time i noticed i thought it could have been from stepping on an ant pile since i could see the little dots from ant bites. But it has been almost a month and the redness is still there. What's weird is that it comes and goes, sometimes it's not there at all. I also noticed it randomly comes back while she sleeps. It is on all her 4 paws. I've tried using the Sulfodene 3 way ointment since it's worked on my older dog before. But i can't tell if it's helping or not. She doesn't scratch or lick her paws too much either. Any suggestions??

I’d like to introduce to you Beckett

We chose the name because it rhymes with Wreck- it. Wreck-it Beckett. Momma was an Aussie doodle, Dad was a Catahoula Airedale. He’s 10 weeks old and awesome.

Advice needed

Hello- I'm looking for some advice regarding our 9.5 month old papillon. I very impulsively bought him following the death of my 14 year old female papillon. He's a fun pup and really likes our kids but I keep finding myself seriously considering rehoming him. The main problem we are having is with potty training and also marking behaviors. He knows he is supposed to potty outside and I set an Alexa timer to take him out regularly but I still find poop in the house multiple times per week. On top of that he's also marking with urine and I suspect I'm not finding all the marking. We got him neutered hoping that would help but it really hasn't. I bought a black light to help clean it up and also try to keep the house blocked off so he doesn't have access to all the rooms. I'm just really starting to worry this can't be trained out of him and he's ruining our house.
He is a bright dog and responds well to short training sessions for tricks but life with three kids (one who is a busy club level athlete) we just haven't stayed consistent.
He doesn't seem to care if he misbehaves and we constantly find him on the tables. Barking like crazy. Stealing things out of our kids hands and tearing them the shreads. He has been such a source of stress.
I enrolled him in obedience training but he is so scared of people that it was just a huge failure.
I deeply regret getting him even though our kids do seem attached. As fall approaches and our schedules become busier I'm wondering if it's time to throw in the towel and try rehoming him while he is still a puppy. I think we're going to be home less and less and I just didn't think this through before getting a pup in this bush stage of life - i do think he'd be a really great pup for someone who has more time and consistency to prioritize him in a way I haven't.
I just don't know what to do.

Neighbor’s pup

Hi all. Not sure where to post this but please let me know if this doesn’t apply to this subreddit.

We have a new neighbor who moved in late last year. In the last two to three months, they got a German Shepherd puppy. It’s such a sweet and well-behaved puppy. It doesn’t bark much, only when it’s hungry. Over the past month, I’ve noticed that they leave the puppy in their backyard full-time, even when it rains or during the 4th of July. They never let the dog inside. Occasionally, I see one of the owners feed the puppy or give it water.

I don’t know their arrangements or work schedule, but I see their car in the driveway, which makes me think they’re mostly home. Lately, the temperature has been reaching the 90s and 100s, yet the puppy is still outside. Thankfully, there’s some shade in their yard. When I have time, I give him water in the space between the fence. He eagerly drinks the water, which makes me think he’s dehydrated.

This morning, I noticed that he kept moving away as I gave him water. I found that there were a bunch of mosquitoes on his fur. I was thinking of getting him meds, but I might be overstepping my bounds. My heart breaks for this little pup. I could be wrong, but I don’t think he’s getting enough love and care. What can I do?

Thanks in advance.

Photo attached is from this morning. Can’t really see it but his back side has a lot of flies just stuck to him.

SHE WON’T STOP BITING ME

I have a nearly 6 month old corgi. She’s very intelligent, energetic, playful and eager to please but she just. Will. Not. Stop. Biting. Me. I’m at my wits end. It’s not aggressive biting and seems to be attention seeking. Reverse time outs don’t work, redirecting to one of her 145,737,209 toys and chews doesn’t work, engaging training time only works for the time we are working then straight back to biting. I know she’s teething but she’s lost all but her fangs and 3 molars. It hasn’t slowed down. AT ALL. She doesn’t chew on things she’s not supposed to other than my skin. 🥴

I am experienced with the breed and know very well that I have a working dog. We play fetch many times throughout the day and she loves her flirt pole as well. We do brain games, puzzles, lick mats, lots of training time and enforced naps. She’s getting a lot of sleep which I know is a big factor. I do everything I can to ensure she is challenged and exercised, mentally and physically. The hard part is I live in Arizona and daily temps are 114+. It’s 100 by 8am. Our obedience and agility classes are closed all summer. In my experience, dog parks are a breeding ground for learning bad behavior (for young pups) even if it wasn’t too hot. I’m looking into daycares in my area with a training component.

All that being said, I’m losing it despite being out of the throes of the puppy blues. I’ve never had a puppy bite this much and I need help.
