um idk if this is the right subreddit for this but since everyone here is into punk rock and im not, i wanted to get a lil dating advice…Does me not knowing anything about the punk rock scene or metal scene be a turn off or a draw back for him? he never made me feel that way but i just think he and i are so different uk. i listen to kpop and the girliest girl pop stuff and i am open to any genre honestly. Also he told me he has Chrissie Hynde kink, what does that mean 😀

What helps you cope with depression?

Are there things you do (big or small) that help you feel better when you are feeling blue?

Is there something you have learned about depression that you wish you had known sooner?

Are there things you sometimes do while depressed that make it worse?

I am a California ex-pat in New Zealand so freaking excited that Bad Religion is coming here in February but I have no one to go with because none of my friends dig punk like I do. Please let there be a Kiwi on here that will go with a still-hot fiddy-something punk rock girl to the show. Got tickets already.

I’m gonna guess at least most people have seen or at least heard the scene in fantastic mr fox where Agnes and Kris compliment each other and have a cute banter, so I’m a Home Depot associate wearing my bright orange apron looking like a traffic cone (granted I was wearing my spiked hoodie and ladder lace docs to feel more comfy) and all of a sudden a nice gal walks up to me and asks me for my help getting some chain. I didn’t know much about the chains so I offered to find someone who knew a little more and so we walked around a bit looking for anyone in hardware, and while we walked she complimented my spikes thinking they looked cool and I complimented her oogie boogie style patchwork hat and her sally style top. I asked her what the chain was for and she told me she was gonna make a smiley, and my dumbass had a brain fart and was like “oh for Halloween or just the looks” shortly after the words left my mouth I knew how stupid I sounded and proceeded to call a hardware associate to help her before leaving with a sense of shame and embarrassment 💀
