Last year the patches went crazy, I haven’t taken any pictures this year yet but I’m gonna go check a couple today and I’ll post how they are doing. I put down too many chips too late so I don’t think the big patch will be even close to last year. Plus one of the patches got completely taken over. Even the big patch has more invaders than cyans last I looked.
Tried to come back to take some more pics a few days later and someone had ripped the mycelium out of the ground.
Hello guys, I am an absolute beginner when it comes To picking wavy caps and Magic mushrooms in general. So my question is: How long did it take you to find you first wavy caps? I know it also takes some luck to find them but I‘m just curious. Is there a Spot in particular you guys can recommend where I should start looking for them? Instinctivly I wanted to start in forrests.
Going hunting in the next few days was wondering if anyone has some good locations to try in Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire preferably near Gainsborough/Retford(UK)
I'm talking specifics about its native range (currently assumed to be PNW).
Colonization vs fruiting temp?
Symbiotic or related keystones species?
Humidity levels?
Weekly precipitation?
Proximity to water?
Most effective methods for hydrating/breaking down/probiotifying wood and substrate?
Other variables?
There are obviously some more or less effective methods of cultivation out there online but I've yet to actually see any data or numbers on the above data for Ps. cyans in their natural habitat- only what tends to work in home or garden cultivation. Just trying to fine tune a method while letting nature do most of the work where possible, and manipulating the environment in the most sustainable way possible when not. Nature knows best!
Lower Saxony / northern germany / today Why are some of them so pale?
