Hi guys, I’m currently in high school, and I really want to go into neuroscience or blood vessel research in the future.
Do you guys know any professors in Princeton that have/ are currently taking high school students in their lab to assist in research? Thanks in advance!
I am an incoming questbridge match! and a little worried at the queer scene (specifically the poc queer scene at princeton)
for context, I am a brown lesbian from the deep south and really want to attend an institution that is supportive of my identity, so I wanted to ask all of you on this subreddit about your expirences, advice etc as LGBT princeton students?
hiiii since we can't double major at princeton, i was wondering if i should major in math and minor in cs or major in cs and minor in math?
So I am a BSE '28 debating between declaring cos and orfe.
My spring schedule is either:
MAT 202, COS 226, COS 217, ORF 245, EGR 153, and FRS 120
OR: MAT 217, COS 226, COS 217, ORF 245, and EGR 153
Context: I've done AP stats and a significant amount of research in hs, but I am NOT exceptional at math. I am average at best here at Princeton.
My question is if taking cos 217 (and mat 217) is worth cooking my spring semester over. I've seen that it's hard in course evals, but important if one is considering cos in the future. I'm well aware I may not be seeing sunlight for the next few months, but I will self-study for COS and MAT over the winter break. Please help me decide!!
Hi y'all! Yesterday I found out I matched to Princeton through QuestBridge and am SO EXCITED to be a tiger! Like, over the moon. I intend to major on the History of Art track but I love so many things.
I know another similar thread just got posted, but it'd mean the world to me if you all could post your best Princeton tips, big or small! From studying spots to must-try eats, to advice on navigating socially (I'm from the dirt poor South y'all I've never seen preppy Northern people before), to tips and tricks that have helped you through Princeton academics and pre-career networking or opportunities. I'd love tiger wisdom on everything from housing to homesickness-- I've researched Princeton to death, but you can really only get some of life's most valuable insights from living and being.
Thank you all so much! Appreciate you!
Visiting family in Dec. 22/23 and we're looking to do a day trip to Princeton. What's going on there that'll be worth checking out.. Christmas tree, carolers? Any recommendations for restaurant and bars?
What are some things at Princeton one should definitely do or experience before graduating?
I'm already admitted via the QuestBridge NCM! So, I'm a tiger! (future and now).
What do you guys think I should know or keep in mind? Things to look for? Things to do!?
Hi all, I'm a prospective Princeton student!
Princeton is one of my top choices as of now, and, as I eagerly await my decision (fingers crossed!!), I have a few questions that I was hoping this subreddit could answer. There are a few things that are very important to me when deciding what college to commit to, and I was looking for some opinions from people who are currently on the campus:
1.) A vibrant Indian/South Asian Student Association (that culture is very important to me) - is Princeton's ISA active, and are the Indian dining options on campus plentiful?
2.) Vegetarian/Vegan dining - are Princeton's dining halls/nearby restaurants supportive of this diet?
3.) Supportive atmosphere - a lot of my friends who attend other top schools tell me that it's very cut-throat and overly toxic, which is definitely not where I thrive. My Princeton interviewer mentioned that Princeton in fact carries a very supportive atmosphere, and I was wondering if others could weigh in on this?
Thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy message, and thanks in advance to anyone who is able to answer any (or all) of these doubts!!
service point keeps charging me for cards I returned on time??? and one of them was from dps. I'm confused, I can't find any clear policy about it online, I emailed to see if I can get reimbursed but I'm frankly just so annoyed

Could a math major kindly share what their course schedule for years 2, 3 and 4 were? Or what you plan to take. Currently my frosh year but I hope to declare math.

Hi all, just a quick question regarding if anyone has had good/bad experiences with Azar Dental. I’m looking for a good dentist close to campus for a general cleaning and gum exam and am on the University Dental PPO insurance. If not Azar, any other recommendations would also of course be very welcomed. As always, any advice, info, or help would be hugely appreciated, thanks!
Can anyone tell me about why it's said that Princeton students shouldn't walk through the FitzRandolph Gate's main entrance?
If there’s anyone in here majoring in Econ and minoring in Finance, or who did so in the past, during what semester and year did you take the following courses?
Trying to figure out the feasibility and best course of action here, so any insight would be great!
Mid-30s NJ resident here with a strange but totally serious request. I posted here a while back and the response was more positive than I expected, and I even found a potential donor that unfortunately didn't work out, so I thought I'd give it another shot. Apologies if this post breaks any sub rules.
I've been dealing with a pretty intense functional GI disorder and after a whole lot of testing and 10+ different medications that didn't help I've come to the point where I can either resign myself to being sick permanently or I can attempt a pretty radical treatment called FMT or Fecal Microbiota Transplant which, with stool from a high-quality donor, can help with a variety of conditions. This webcomic explains it pretty well, believe it or not.
Pretty wild, I know. It's gross, but not as gross as being sick for the rest of my life would be, so I'm trying to have a sense of humor about it. When I first heard about it I had the same WTF reaction you're probably having now. This procedure is approved and highly effective for treatment of C. Difficile infection, has shown promising results in clinical trials for several GI issues, and is even being researched as treatment for issues in other areas of the body. Here's an article about it from a few years back.
The donor criteria is extremely strict and unfortunately none of my friends or family qualify, so I figured I would see if a kind stranger from the internet might help me with this weird, awkward thing that could improve my life one million percent.
If you or someone you know meet the following base criteria and would be willing to explore being a donor, please reach out to me via PM here or e-mail fmtftact1@gmail.com
Male
Under 30 years old
Lean body type
Essentially perfect physical and mental health
No allergies or food sensitivities
Varied diet
Daily perfect stool production, presenting as Bristol Type 3 Stool
There are some more involved questions that would need to be answered, and a potential donor would have to be screened for pathogens, but after that all they would need to do is come to a convenient location and make a deposit, so to speak. I am local to North Jersey but will happily travel to make this happen.
Thanks for reading!
Hello, If anyone has tickets to the Feast of Carols that they are selling please lmk. I’m looking for 2 seats together. Thank you.
Ahead of the upcoming QB match, is there a Princeton 2029 Instagram page for admitted students?
Hi everyone,
I am a landscape photographer and was thinking of taking photos on Princeton's campus.
I have a few questions
Do I need to get any permissions before arriving ?(this is not commercial or event photography)
Are there occasionally photographers (with tripods) on campus - I mean I don't want to stand out -so is this somewhat of a normal occurrence ?
Was thinking of going over the current holiday break - is the campus significantly less crowded?
Thanks in advance -

Used to be lot 21. Is that still the case?
Alumna request. In the early 2000s I used to use some computers underneath this gorgeous huge antique print of Richmond, Virginia, showing the river and city from the 1800s. I'm from Virginia and it helped when I was homesick. I would love to try to find a print of it - if it's still there and you know where it is, anyone willing to take a picture of it or see if there is any information on the artist/date?

I'm currently a 3rd-year PhD student living in a 1-bedroom apartment in Lawrence. Due to the poor lighting in this building, I'm considering not renewing my lease this year and entering the room draw again. My goal is to move into a 1-bedroom apartment in Meadows, but I’m concerned about the possibility of ending up off-campus, as my priority rank is relatively low.
I was wondering if any senior PhD students (G3, G4, etc.) managed to draw a 1-bedroom apartment last year? I understand that since Meadows had just opened, there might have been a larger number of rooms available then. However, I’m not sure if my ranking would have been high enough for a senior turn.
