Anyone have any idea where I can get an LSD for my v6 other than maybe a Camaro LSD?
In the market for a used car. Budget around ten grand. When ever I filter miles and price and what not a lot of solstices come up. I'll see some under 40 k miles for around ten grand. Good car fax. One owner most of the time maintained. They aren't exactly my style. I don't want it because it's a convertible. I'm interested because it seems like I can get a good deal. Toyota or Hondas are so dang expensive for a simple car. For ten grand it will be like a 2010 with 125 k miles. Anyways are the solstices reliable? Can they be a daily driver? I know Pontiac is out of business but I would imagine they share parts with other GM cars. But are parts a issue.
Can’t find the will to get rid of them 😎
ex: 1995 Sunfire
When I see post of a sunfire, I see hate.
Is it a bad car? Do people think it's ugly? I like the look, I think it's another cute sporty car.
What do y'all think of the Sunfire?
My 05 with 118k. Cam package, exhaust, headers, intake, etc. She gets down for an old gal.
Found second hand.
Hi, I have a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire SE convertible with only about 70,000 mi on it. But due to health problems it hasn't been driven for months. It was started on a regular basis but suddenly one day the battery died. They tried charging the battery but it didn't work. Is it worth just replacing the battery. I did have some stalling issues when idling before this happenened. Not sure but I'll be able to drive it again.. not sure what to do with my car..
69 Firebird: Ok, I've really screwed myself, feel free to call me a dumbass, hopefully with some helpful advice. Locked my only findable set (a separate issue!)keys in the trunk. The trunk is full of golf clubs, golf push cart, sub woofer. The sound system is mounted to a piece of plywood that blocks access from the back seat. Had a locksmith out that thought he could pick the lock, he tried for 3 hours without success. Had the car towed home, removed the passenger side door lock cylinder, disassembled it and got the water codes and had a key made. That key opens the passenger door, and the untouched driver side door, the trunk lock is same key, but it won't open it! Presumably it was damaged in the attempt to pick it. So now I'm being forced to consider drilling out the trunk lock cylinder but I'm not entirely sure that helps me. Anyone have any advice?
Looking for a complete set up for my 91 with a 305. Headers back. Thinking mid length headers.
I’ve really only done headers on old Chrysler V8s and it’s always an issue with spark plugs with them.
Does anyone have set ups they’ve used that fit well?
Please let me know what you know, feels like I need to find a dyno to use somewhere to get specific data. Car in the photo is mine btw.
This just started 2 days again. All suspension is new, i jack up and looked at everything no play or anything broken. My power streeling pump doesn't make any noise and it has new fluid. Cars got 74,200 miles, now it doesn't do it all the time, like maybe once or twice a day.
Hello! Hope everyone is well!
I have a question I hope maybe someone can help with! I'm looking to replace the transmission cooler lines on my 2009.5 pontiac g6, 2.4 eco tec engine (automatic) but I cannot find any info on if it is a 4 speed or 6 speed. Just bought it second hand, so haven't highway driven it to know and I cannot for the life of me decode the glovebox sticker (lol!)
Attached picture of the glovebox sticker if it helps!
I appreciate any and all help !
Cheers
I take my 58 Pontiac Chieftain to local car shows and it doesn’t get much interest. I enjoy bringing it to cruise ins and small car shows, but everyone seems only to be interested in modded Dodges and Mustangs. I can’t figure it out. Let me know what you think needs to be changed.
107,000 for miles for $1,800, runs fantastic, a little rusty near the sunroof, but solid. Driving it convinced me the car would fall apart around the engine before it dies. And the power, my goodness. I stretched her legs and it felt like my back was against the seat of a plane before take off.
Anyway, I've never owned an American car. Any advice or aftermarket stereo and part recommendations are appreciated!
Last night was second guessing buying the firebird, and posted on here wondering if i made the worst decision of my life.
This morning i fixed a problem where the car would act like i had no battery, and wouldn't start, and the interior lights didn't work. Fixed that, now it starts every time.
Fixed the hatch latch with a Philips head and now it opens via key or button, and still locks!
Im totally in love with this car man!
