I’ve gotten really into instant cameras in the last year or so, and I was wondering if anyone has turned it into a side hustle or even a career? I thought it would be fun to shoot special events and bring a small army of cheaper instant film cams for guests to use, with myself or my partner changing films and troubleshooting and whatnot
Hey there!
I'm getting tired of just storing my photos in literally anywhere so I wanted to get a photo book for them. Did anyone get the "official" photo book from polaroid? Is it okay or not worth the money? Are there better options?
Does anyone know why they are there and how to get rid of them on future photos?
Hello fellow Pola-roids, I recieved this Polaroid camera from an aqaintance who had the camera in long forgotten storage.
Supposedly it should be in working condition. She gifted it to me because of my hobby of taking pictures with my Polaroid Now these past 4 years.
From a quick search I assume the model name/line is "Image", hence the text on the front. I can however only find information about "Polaroid Image 2" or "Polaroid Image System", and this seems to be some kind of first version since it lacks the number 2.
I am looking for information about how to operate it, how to charge it, what film etc.
Are there any instruction manuals online or can they be purchased online in physical form?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
Regards,
DearTsar
I see a lot of people on this subreddit using SX-70, sometimes with i-type film. Why this particular camera is a popular choice and how i-type film can be used with it? Isn’t there film made just for sx-70?

Modding the capacitor on my SX70 was really one of the best things I did recently. 600 films are way more capable than SX70 films. ❤️
PLEASE HELP ME
I took all of my pictures at prom on a Poloroid Digital Camera IS048. I haven't been able to upload them to my laptop or phone because it keeps glitching out. I saw something online that said to format the disk so I did that and it deleted all of my prom photos (I know I'm stupid for not digging deeper but I was getting impatient).
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if there's a way to retrieve these photos I don't have a single other photo from prom.
Is my Polaroid film (Round Frame Retinex Edition) destroyed already? Tried to take two photos and it came out the same like this. Please help. Do I reach out to Polaroid for a replacement? Bought this on their website.
New to the sub just wanted to share my one only scanned photo on my camera roll. Should I scan more?
My camera was working great until I suddenly started taking the photos with a violet tone, can someone help me?
I just got a camera off of facebook marketplace and I just started to test it out. Im hoping the issue is me and not the camera but not sure what it could be.. this is my first instant camera
TLDR Where can I get good quality leather for these that are actually close to OEM in thickness and texture and not paper thin like hugo or made out of cheap slippy belt leather like Retrospekt? and any advice on getting original labels outside of thriftstore or ebay dumpster diving? and fuck retrospekt
Hello! I need some help here
I just got my SLR 680 back from Retrospekt because the mirror was loose and the lens was dirty, and thats all i wanted them to touch and email proof thats all i wanted them to touch, biggest regret ever I'm in mourning should have DIYed it, outside of them restickering over all the vintage decals with their own which
1- I did not tell them to do and
2- its not listed on their website that they would be doing that or i would have told them explictly not to. Especially since they look like phone camera scanned trash. The instructions under the viewfinder the font is fuzy and is way too small for what it originally was and not centered correctly. PLUS - they covered over the vintage use 600 film sticker with a "refurbished by retrospekt one and its garish to see
And they are adding Warranty void if removed stickers which means they are also acting in violation with the US Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 as the warranty covers both parts and service.
I own a polaroid SLR 680 SE not a Retrospekt SLR 680 SE and im now going to have to re-Polaroid my Retrospekt by getting labels and pieces from damaged beyond repair units or online sellers
Even more so and my reason for this post, the Retrospekt leather is atrocious, its slippy-no-grip belt leather made to be specifically not grippy so putting it on a camera is absolutely stupid. so I tried to replace it with leather from hugostudio. While the hugostudio leather is nice and grippy its thinner than 65lb cardstock paper and has sharp cut edges. I used the backing from the retrospekt leather and frankenstined it with hugoleather and its better for grip and feel but a fucking mess visually. Where can I get good quality leather for these that are actually close to OEM in thickness and texture and not paper thin like hugo or made out of cheap slippy belt leather like Retrospekt? and any advice on places where i can get the original
Edited for clairty after initial no think rage typing
