Anyone else feel kind of pressured to go along with gendered stuff? [gendered]

So, my cousins are having a baby soon, and a few months ago they did a gender reveal. I get you have to have some way to differentiate boy and girl, but why blue and pink? Why not switch it up? Also, I wanna make them a card. However, I don't wanna make it blue and obviously everyone would ask me questions if I made it pink, so I might just make it "gender-neutral" colours like yellow or green. Anyone else feel like this?

My dad went to the pharmacy to buy a thermometer for me and the lady didn't want him to get the pink one (which was just the first cheap one he saw 😭) until he told her it's for his daughter 😭😭

[gendered] Woman refused to buy a fragrance when she discovered it was “for men”.

I work at a retail department store that sells all types of fragrances. Due to the craziness of the holidays, some products sometimes end up in the wrong section. A woman comes up to my register and asks “is this for men or for women? I found it in the women’s section and I love how it smells but is it for men?”

Nothing on the label indicated the intended demographic. I told her “it depends on who’s wearing it. If a woman wears it, it’s for a woman. It smells wonderful to me!”

A coworker comes up and says “no that’s men’s cologne. It’s for men.”

The woman then decides she doesn’t want it and won’t wear it because a stranger told her a label was more important than the fact that she loved the smell and it was honestly great on her.

I was extremely annoyed. And the cologne was delicious, I may go back and buy it for myself. A woman. Nobody call the cologne police.

Mom says these actually are different than regular golf balls [gendered]

In her words, they're lower density because "women don't hit as hard as men" when golfing. Which, in that case, why can't they just call them "low density golf balls" or something? There are lots of people who have different strength levels and aren't ladies. Lmao
