Looking for places to go wheeling this weekend! Just moved to seattle trying to stay within 2 hour drive! Thank you
Went out last weekend for a shakedown run on some new parts. Installed a set of Rancho HD knuckles and MetalCloak Baller Joints.
Fun in tahuya
Has anyone been up there this year? Looking to plan a trip soon.
I work at Rairdon's CDJR of Kirkland and wanted to see if anyone here is looking to buy or sell their Jeep or any other vehicle. We are looking to get through our inventory and my managers are giving good discounts right now just to get through some inventory before summer and meet dealership quotas to get some new fun stuff in before this summer. Let me know!
My '98 XJ is having shifting issues, either slipping in and out of gear, getting stuck, or getting no response with the throttle to the floor. OBD2 throwing a generic p0700 code but recently just replaced my TCM/TCU and CPS.
Went to AAMCO, they said I need a whole new transmission, but they don't rebuild and hoping to take it to a place that would give me a better diagnostic. Fluid is essentially black but not leaking, so high chance there is something wrong internally, but want a second and/or third opinion.
If anyone has heard of or has had any good experiences in the Greater Seattle Area for transmission help and diagnostic that would be GREAT.
2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Delete if not allowed. I’m trying to get the word out and spread this as much as possible. My dad and his partner were out last night saying goodbye to a buddy moving out of state. They left Walt’s Place around 1am and left the Jeep so they weren’t driving after drinking. My dads built this Jeep up a lot and we have had a lot of good adventures in it. A police report has been filed and the owners of Walt’s are verifying if anything can be found on the cameras.
Hey fellow jeepers,
it is time for new tires on my JK and I'm wondering what tires do people use at PNW?
Hey all, I'm reading a lot of posts about cedar tree trail being closed last year due to lot of logging activity. I'm unable to find any official sources about the current trail status. Anyone has been to that trail recently?
Also, long shot: I'm planning to be in the Tillamook area from 19th-21st. If someone wants to go out on the cedar tree trail along with me, that would be nice! I have a stock JKU with no recovery gear. Lunch on me!
Hey everyone, my parents are huge into Jeeping and just moved to Seattle. My dad wanted a book of the top Jeep spots in the PNW for Christmas, but I couldn't find any good looking ones. That's why I'm coming to you- my plan is to create a list. What are the best spots to go offroading in the PNW? I think Washington State spots are preferred but I live in Vancouver, WA so they wouldn't mind making the trek out to Oregon (I like to think I would be the draw, but I'll just be along the way to the trails). Idaho is also welcome.
For context, they're at a pretty advanced skill level as they often do Jamborees and have been to Moab a few times, knocking off the Rim Trail and Hell's Revenge. They are expert level.
Hey all, can anyone recommend a canvas/upholstery shop in the Puget Sound area that could sew me up a custom soft top? I have the pattern already from an old top no longer available. Thanks!
I have a bit of a snowflake build that used to be well looked after by Olympic but the changes there seem to have shifted their priorities. Looking for a shop that knows older Jeeps that can do more than install bolt-on parts.
Heading up to WA in August for a hike, I'm told the bridge on NF-41 is washed out, but there are some saying that it's passable with a 4x4 - does anyone know anything about the area?
Here's a map @ the point of the washout. I was hoping someone might be familiar and or close to the area and shed some light on current conditions. If the bridge is not passable, I see some other dirt roads in the area that might be doable for a bypass... I've also been told rigs left at the bridge there get vandalized/shot up?
Thanks in advance for any info!
I'm feeling one part lazy and one part untrusting of myself to do it mixed with a healthy heaping of just not enough time to do it myself.
I tried NWJEEP and no one would return my call or email. I got a hold of the other dealer close by and the price wasn't even close to what others have said to expect. I called a local Salem shop and they tried to talk me into the products that they sold (BDS).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I usually do work myself, but I am feeling lazy and would rather find a trusted mechanic to do the work. I don’t want to do dealership service center does anyone have a mechanic they could recommend? I am in Kirkland but have no issues driving a little bit.
I need my clutch replaced, as well as a few other things.
Thanks!
I have all 4 doors worth of red door cards including arm rests. Also have chrome power mirrors if anyone is interested. I bought these doors to make half doors and don’t need the parts, thought maybe someone on here could use them. Not perfect but good enough. For a pre 96 XJ.
Got my wrangler engine all broken in and looking to start taking on some off road trails. Does anyone have some recommendations for beginner off road trails in the Seattle area? Thanks!
I'd like to swap ratios. My experience with 4WP has been poor, is there a small shop like Olympic 4x4 anymore?
Hi folks! I am trying to wrap my head around taking the hardtop and doors off for the summer. I don't have garage space to park the Jeep or a covered area. I am thinking that using a tarp is the best way to do this. Does anyone here rock a tarp when parked for the summer months? Any tips or tricks? I am mostly worried about the occasional rain shower than theft.
Got a 92 xj that needs a little loving, hoping to find a mechanic that knows these things a bit. Thanks for any recommendations!
