Hard pill to swallow

I attended the CA APA conference in riverside this past weekend and it’s astonishing just how many planners are urbanist, want dense & walkable cities throughout California but are limited to what they can do by the people actually in charge 👴🏻👵🏻 we need more young leaders, I’m hoping to run for city council next year 🤞

How the Planning Review Process Works

Planners asking for feedback during the review / comment period: crickets

Other departments and agencies AFTER the comment period: "👁👄👁 📢📢📢📢📢"

In a comment recently I suggested we should share our worst site plans- I present to you the Spite Site Plan, submitted in response to our planning staff requesting “additional landscaping”
