23AndMe or Ancestry kit -> drug response

I'm a geneticist who put some quarantine time into making this consumer kit adaption of existing PGX chip tests. The PharmHand project

I realize this is a bit of an advertisement, but I'm not really sure how else to put word out for such a specific interest other than communities like this. As compensation, I'd be more than happy to answer any drug-gene questions (10 years building clinical and ancestry tests).

Atovaquone is another example...

Only a Pharmacologist would know....

Does testing cancer tissues for mutations count as pharmacogenomic testing

Just curious because I had a polite disagree with one of my co workers who felt like it counted. I thought cancer mutations weren’t part of a persons genome.

Brave New Love paper

During recent years, a paper has been written about theoretical pharmacogenetic intervention that will enable an individual to choose whatever orientation they wanted. Methods suggested include neuropharmacology, brain surgery, deep brain stimulation and genetic alteration. What do people think about the ethics and possibilities?
