Cranks no start injector short to ground is the fault code any ideas where to check all wiring seems to be correct
Hi, seem to find conflicting advice online about which oil to use. With all the belt stories don’t wanna get this bit wrong. Appreciate any help.

Hello!
I'm looking to buy a 508 SW GT around the 2020-2021 mark and I'm curious about this car during winter. I know there's some options that you can use the app to start the climate control, but that's only available inside the car - I'm wondering more about remote engine block heating.
Where I live it gets quite cold, at the coldest it can get around -20c.
Also a tiny question about CarPlay, because I can't seem to find this info on the web - do you need to use a cable or can you use wireless CarPlay?
Peugeot 208 GT, can’t find it in the manual.
We have a Peugeot 2008 2020 and my partner isn’t able to connect her Samsung A15, it’s not the cable as if I plug in my iPhone it works but can’t seem to make it work, any suggestions?
Surely it has to be compatible?
I have a Peugeot 208 2020 with 42000 miles which i've had for 6 month with full service history (only one service with peugeot)
Am getting an “Insufficient engine oil pressure/ Oil pressure alert” on the dash and now an engine fault has appeared.
I understand this is due to my wet belt. I've heard that Peugeot may cover the cost of the repair for the wet belt if it has less than 60000 miles and under 6 years. Is this true?
I also have booked it into my nearest Peugeot garage in London but the waiting time is 2 months. Is this common for Peugeot garages to take so long or some i call around other Peugeots garages?
My last question is, would it be safe to drive the car to a Peugeot garage while having the Engine Fault light on or should I get it towed there?
Hello, I have a nice 207 with a shitty engine, and a shitty 206 with a nice engine. I'm trying to figure out if I can get the engine from the 206 into the 207 but I don't really seem to understand the whole engine code through VIN thing. I have both VIN numbers and I think I have engine codes WAKFU and 2AKFW but that's all I can find. Does anybody know how I can figure out of I could switch the engines? I want the 2AKFW engine into the car that's currently got WAKFU.
Thanks in advance!
Hello all.
Sorry for a request but I am trying to find some advice on doing some upgrade to am ultra cheap race car project some friends and I are doing. I recently bought a 206 1.6 16v and we did a 6 hour endurance race in it. The car performed pretty well but we want to do a few upgrades to make it a little more dynamic and reliable to drive. My main questions are,
Is there another radiator that I can fit to the 1.6 16v version that will improve cooling? Is the GTI unit any larger?
I read somewhere that you can fit a thermostat that will kick in at a lower temperature and keep the engine cooler. Does anyone know which thermostat this is or if its an aftermarket job?
Are there any other peugeot parts that can be fitted from other models that improve performance? Brake calipers, front struts, arbs etc. The suspension is pretty rolly so I'm looking at some cheap coilovers or even a thicker front into roll bar but the purpose of this race is to keep things cheap.
Sorry to ask but I couldn't find any information on this. There's lots of repair advice but not much modifying info.
Hi guys,
Not sure where to ask this but this seems to be the best sub. I’m looking for the styrofoam insert under the main baggage compartment in the boot.
I have a leased E-308 and I can’t find a place to put the charging cable but with one simple cut this insert could be the perfect place for it. I don’t want to damage the original though so I’m looking to get another one to modify. I can’t find it anywhere online and even the local dealership couldn’t help me. Does anyone know how to find that thing?
Hi, I'm about to get a new car from 2023 with the puretech 1.2 130hp engine, not a Peugeot but I'm sure you guys here know more about the engine than those on the Opel forum. The car is a demo car, has only run 15km. Yes, I know the problems with the timing belt, and also the only reason why I get the engine is that Stellantis has extended the warranty to 10 years. But now my question is, is there anything I can do right at the beginning, install a better timing belt from a better company? Or something Else? Tanks
Hey all I was looking at a 308 that’s got 63k miles and wanted to know if it was worth it. Mot looks pretty good and it had no advisories. (23/01/2025). Only few problems noticed is that it’ll need a new cv joint. There’s a bit of rust on the exhaust. There was also a bit of oil residue on the oil tank but I believe that’s just due to the oil being over filled. And the back doors are a bit creeky. Last full service was in July. Other than that it was clean and drove well. All windows work. Stereo and heaters all worked too. The guys letting me have it for £750 so do you think I should go for it. It was listed for 1k since it’s a cat n and I haggled it down. Please not me know your opinions and other things to look for.
Hi everyone,
I ordered a 308SW Allure diesel as a company car, scheduled to arrive late april. In the pictures of the configurator, there isn't itoggles anymore, can someone who is an insider at Peugeot confirm ?
Subsidiary question : Can you configure shortcuts on the main screen like for itoggles ?
Thank you
Hi everyone !
New here. After having basically grown up in two 309 (consecutively) and having started myself with a 205 that I will always miss, Peugeot has sentimental value to me, and I may find myself driving a Peugeot again in the near future.
I'm currently looking for a new car on a tight budget, and I see many Peugeot (and Citroën and Ford) with the 1.4 HDI 70. At the moment I have my eyes on a 2006 206 SW that seems interesting, but I do have questions about the engine.
I've looked it up and saw many comments about leaking injectors. Have you had this problem ? Should it be fixed by replacing the injectors or just the joints ? And if the car already had this problem fixed in the past, can it come back ?
Also, do you think 200 - 250 000 km is too much for this engine ?
And what is your fuel consumption on average road and highway use ?
Thanks in advance !
Mine is at 30km fully charged, I feel like it is low compared to the 42 announced by Peugeot… Should I get it checked ? 2022 GT Hybrid 30k km
Hello guys
Do anyone know if a 2011 parcel shelf can fit in a 2015 model?
/Kenneth
I picked up this Peugeot 206 1.4hdi with around 60,000 miles for £800… Only issues it has is a wheel hub is predicted to need changing in a couple thousand miles and the break pads need changing, paintwork in very good condition asides from a few chips and no rust, also had its timing belt changed at 40,000 miles. Got my last 206hdi for £1,300 with 98,000 so did I strike a bargain?
Recently got my e-208. The app says waiting for association and there is nothing I can seem to do to fix it.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
Many thanks!
Hi, I know a few people already had this weird issue with the breaks of their peugeot which starts then stops moving after a few maneuvers to get out of the parking. So here is the solution I found : press the parking break button for a long time. The breaks then will stop bugging and you'll be able to restart your car. Hope that will help :)
Hey guys, I left my car at the garage for a change of timing belt and they put a gate belt. A lot of my friends say this belt is worth anything. What's your opinion on this brand?
Peugeot 308 SW 2016 EAT6 Start/stop Thanks
Today I noticed that my coolant level is in the middle of the Min and Max levels. I want to top it off, but not sure what type of coolant is this. Searching on the internet most coolants looks pink, but this is more like light green. Coolant reservoir internal walls also have lime-like greenish crust.
What coolant type should I buy and top it off?
Here's a sample that I took directly from reservoir.
What would be the best way for me to completely remove the black plastic trims that run along the door and back half of the car? I want a completely flysh looking door without the trims but I just need to know if it's possible first and what I would need to be able to do it. Thanks!
I have a 2008 (model 2015). Went for a full service last Wednesday. This morning (Friday), we needed to drive at 5am (UK). Dipped headlamps are not working but other lights are working properly. The same shop told me that I should stop using the cigarette lighter (for my dashcam) as it is connected to the headlights and instead use the USB port. Is their information correct? I just can’t figure out why I would believe them.
The oil gauge cap remained open and the result is the photo :(
I would like to know what the component highlighted in red in the photo is since it emits a little smoke when the engine is running.
Thank you very much
An authorised Peugeot garage ran a diagnostic yesterday and found that the wires for the speed sensor (rear right wheel) have corroded so will need a new wiring harness fitted. There is a ‘fake’ fault showing for a vacuum leak on booster but they’re hoping that will resolve itself once new wiring harness has been installed.
Anyway, I’ve seen this to be a common issue and some report that this was a recall? I’ve the Peugeot Customer Care no which I’m gonna call and see if I can get this covered as I’m only just out of warranty - others have had some success with this apparently.
Diagnostic was €160 and want another €380 to fix wiring. Not as cheap a fix as I was hoping.
The other annoyance is that I’ve had to leave my car at the garage as unsafe to drive. They’ve given me no courtesy car and say they’ve no idea when the part will come in - could be 2 weeks if lucky, could be a month!? We’re a one car family with a 5 yr old kid so now we’re without a car for an undefined period of time. Looked at rental but we’re taking €300 a week and my insurance won’t cover it. So it’s public transport, the odd GoCar and borrow my neighbours spare in an emergency.
Any advice on what to do here? Should I be pushing harder for a courtesy car? Should I ring around other Peugeot approved garages and see if they can get the part quicker or at least give me a courtesy car? Try and source the part myself? Such an expensive pain…
Thanks!
Just bought a 2nd hand Peugeot 208 from 2024 and it has profiles that I can't seem to delete (the trash icon is greyed out). Anyone know how I can solve this?
Hello all,
I have a question.
I was browsing through auto-doc and other websites and as that they sell full led headlights for my 3008 2018 Peugeot (I'm sure they also sell for many other cars)
So I was wondering if I could replace mine with the full led version.
And if yes would I be missing any features that would be available in the GT?
Thank you all for reading this :)
