Hi, I am a new owner of peugeot 207 2009 model 1.4L petrol. I bought it 4 months ago. Day before yesterday I saw the anti pollution fault pop up in the dashboard and some misfiring of engine, also the radiator keeps running for a while after engine is off. Today morning i still have the warning and went to a mechanic. They did the diagnosis and couldn’t find any issues with anything and he said it could be because the engine misfired for a while and then worked fine but the system stored that fault and continued to display it. He asked me come again if there is a misfire and without that its really difficult to find the issue.
Now I dont have any warning or misfire but the radiator still keeps running for a while. When I called the mechanic he said peugeot vehicles go into a default mode and its because of that. Not sure how i should deal with this now. Any help/suggestion/opinions please?
Peugeot 208 GT 2021.
When i turn on my AC there is a weird sound coming from my engine. This isnt coming from the Fans of the AC. When i turn of my AC sound goes away completely immediately. Any idea what this sound is? The sound is not coming from the AC compressor aswell.
Does anyone have any experience here or any pointers whatsoever. I was probaly going to get the elite 550. I'm unsure Wether I'll need all the cables or just the pin one. But main question is any pointers or experience?
Hi guys, apologies in advance because I actually have an Opel (Vauxhall) Corsa but the engine (1.2 puretech 100HP) should be the same as Peugeot’s models, and since this sub seems more active I thought of posting it here as well. (If it breaks the subreddit’s rules I’ll remove it)
After reading countless posts about this engine’s wet timing belt I decide to get myself a checking gauge and it won’t fit (panic ensues).
Details: Opel Corsa 2020, GS Line, 100 HP, bought in February at 53k kilometers (33 miles), now driven to 62k (38.5 miles), it had frequent oil and filter changes (every 10k kms). In this short span of time it never had any issues with the engine, except some hiccups from 1st to 2nd gear when revving while cold.
What do you think? The belt actually looks good but the gauge won’t fit by that margin (the two drawn red lines)
I'm planning to buy a C4X car with the below engine. I see many reviews reporting issues for the timing belt and oil pressure in this engine. Can anyone who has this engine model share his experience with this engine model?
Engine model: 1.2 PureTech 130 (1.2L / 131 Hp / Petrol / HNS EB2ADTS
My wife has a 208 and even with the headlights tilted up as high as they can go, they barely spread light ahead. They just about light the road itself but nothing around it. My 308 lights up the road a lot further, and the sides of the road etc. Would buying some cheap LED headlight bulbs help improve this? Anyone with a 208 noticed this issue?
Hi!
How i can see if my peugeot 308 has a firmware update? (im from chile)
Acceleration problem
Hi everyone, I have a small problem with my 206, it's a 1.4l hdi and I recently did a lot of things on it: - cooling system - complete distribution - Egr - turbo and 3/4 hoses (it must be said that mother is approaching 300,000) but since then I really have a power problem as if my turbo only triggers, at certain times, from 3200 rpm if you ever have an idea it would help me a lot, especially since at certain times the engine light comes on and the car goes into safety mode (impossible to exceed 3100 rpm)
Hey guys, as the title says im interested in the 208 with the 1.2 75 horsepower engine. Now, the car is visually stunning for the price range (my opinion) BUT, the engine has the reputation of being garbage and causing issues all aroung (from the classic wet belt problem, to crappy pistons, high oil consumption and low oil pressure when the oil pump gets clogged with debris from the belt). Now, the car was first registered in 02/2022 and only has done 13000 km. I would be getting it for 12000 Euro which is an ok price for a relatively new car.
Eventhough it was first registered in 2022 i think it was produced before that (maybe 2021/2020?, have to ask the dealer specifically, it still has the analog speedometer and is not the newer one with the digital instruments). Depending on the year of production, should expect it to have the ''upgraded'' wet belt with the better quality and i even heard soemthing about a better oil filter that doesnt get as easily clogged as the older revisions.
People usually say that maintenance is key to these cars, but i do not plan ot babysitting it in any way, because thats not what cars are for (well atleast not cars that you use everyday for work, univeristy, shopping etc). That doesnt mean that i wont service it regularly, i will in fact service it the way the peugeot dealer tells me to and will not miss a single service, because i do like taking care of my stuff for them being able to last longer.
Also how likely am i to be affected by the high oil consumption and clogged oil pump in your opinion? Could i ask the dealer to put in the ''upgraded'' oil filter that doesnt get as easily clogged?
Do you think this car will cause a lot of problems given that it is relatively new and has almost negligable mileage? Any other opinions and tips are appreciated!
Hi, I have a weird problem. 2007 307CC.. I cannot set the time and date on my RD4 head unit. When I go to the "settings menu" to set it display goes dark and resets. Clock hold time no problem.. except it is wrong. After every reset it goes to 0:00 again.
I have tried disconnecting the battery, BSI reset and disconnecting the head unit (that used to help when I had this problem before but it does not work anymore)
It started after I have unplugged right rear light since there was a bad contact to the indicator... that works now but the clock (the whole settings menu) does not...
Everything on the car and radio works fine...

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to make my car go “stutututu,” but I’m a bit out of my depth and could use some guidance.
I drive a 2022 Peugeot 208 with a 1.2L 3-cylinder turbocharged engine (100HP) paired with an 8-speed automatic. I’m not a mechanic, and I know this isn’t the most common mod, so there’s very little info out there specific to my car.
Where should I start? What should I be looking for in terms of modifications, and how can I learn more about my engine’s setup to figure out what’s possible?
I’d appreciate any advice, links, or resources to help me figure this out. Thanks in advance!
P.S. This is my first Reddit post, so be gentle!
Does the Peugeot 5008 always have third row seats, or are they an option you have to pay more for? Only, a second hand 2019 Peugeot 5008 I looked at the other day didn't have them.

Hey everyone, my sister has a peugeot 208 - 2021 - 1.2 - 130hp. Recently she told me that she is having oil check light appearing sometimes. This is happening already for 4-5 months... and she was riding it like that... I checked the oil level today and it is low.. Do you think the engine is damaged?
Does anyone have a guide on how to remove/replace the rear speakers in cabrio model.
Any info would be appriciated
Thanks
Hi guys. I need some guidance on what to do. The “motor” icon lights up in my Peugeot 307 SW and the display says “anti pollution faulty”. The problem usually occurs when i accelerate too fast, the motor sets out (electricity still on) and I have to turn off my car and on again for the motor to run again. The motor icon usually turn off over night. I’ve tried adding some diesel additive, but it doesn’t seen to help. Should I get a new DPF, or do you think it’s something else wrong? Maybe just scrap the car? Thanks.
Hi
Im looking for an oem spoiler for a Peugeot 206 RC or gti. Does anyone know where I can find one?
Hello. I recently bought a peugeot boxer 2.2 hdi 110kw. 2015. I noticed that the alternator was not working. Before replacing the alternator, i wanted to check if everything was fine with its excitation. After starting the engine, I measured the alternator excitation wire, and there was only 8 volts there. Should it be above 12v? I marked the excitation wire in red in the electrical diagram.
Anyone familiar with this kind of the cause of this cold start high-pitched rattle on a 1.6hdi 80kw. As seen in video, it fades away after 30-60 seconds from cold starting.
