Petaluma is a city in Sonoma County, part of the North Bay sub-region of the San Francisco Bay Area, located 37 miles north of San Francisco. Its population was 60,520 according to the 2020 Census. It has a well-preserved, historic city center which includes many buildings that survived the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Historical buildings include the Washoe House, built in 1859, and the Petaluma Creamery, established in 1903, which marked Petaluma as an agricultural center for eggs and dairy.

I've been seeking alternatives for all the Facebook groups I really like but haven't found one for local gardeners, so I'm trying to start one!
I'd love to see any gardeners or houseplant aficionados there: https://www.reddit.com/r/SonomaCountyGardening
While I'm a green horn when it comes to running subreddits, I've got a lot of experience organizing communities. If anyone has experience and is keen to help, let me know!
So there was a post not too long ago about Dentists but turns out none of them really take Delta Dental insurance. Most places in Petaluma do the thing where you pay up front then Delta reimburses you a pitiful amount later on. I'd rather not have a surprise $800 bill again...
That said, does anyone use a dentist in the Delta Network? Here is the link to Dentists that actually are in network: I've personally never heard of any of these folks...
https://www.deltadentalins.com/find-a-dentist/directory-results/?network=2ppo&location=94954&distance=5&specialty=General%20Dentist&office_hours=&office_access=&sort_field=distance&page=1&special_needs=&patient_considerations=&sort_order=asc
People act like Petaluma isn't tough... these fools clearly aren't aware of the kinda shit that goes down here. If you've ever been to Stuart Drive and the surrounding area then you'll know what I'm talking about. It's undoubtably one of the most dangerous hoods in California. Yes, there are gangs in Petaluma, and no, do not play with them, you WILL get slimed out. Just a fair warning.

You guys know of any places that have Karaoke Friday nights?
Good day all. I use to be part of a spring butter co-op a few years back. I'm in Sacramento and the folks who lead up the effort are no longer running out to Sonoma. Anybody know where I can purchase spring butter in bulk? Thanks!
Visiting the area and feeling pretty pissed off re the chaos being sown currently. Any protests going on this weekend? I’ve got a strong shouting voice!
Hello. I am new to the area and need an accountant to do my taxes. Can anyone provide me with a referral for someone? Thank you!
Hi Redditors Anyone have a reputable place to sell gold here? There’s a spot downtown on Kentucky but I’ve never been in there. I know Gold Rush by Safeway on McDowell does, but again have not sold gold here before. Thanks
Hello. Pretty self explanatory. What do we got?
Anyone have any good massage recommendations in Petaluma? I prefer deep tissue.
I was going to Best Day Spa in Rohnert Park - they are fantastic but expensive and I would be so tired after the massage I wouldn't want to drive home so i was looking for options in Petaluma.
I've been to J&L Relax Center twice in Petaluma and it has been hit or miss. The price is good but it's clearly a space not designed for a spa but very good price.
Any others worth checking out?
Where does everyone go for auto care/maintenance? There's probably plenty of places that are ok for simple stuff like an oil change, but any places to avoid? Thank you in advance.
The Better Cities Film Festival is a series of film shorts focused on urban planning and design, and they are quite compelling. I went to the first one Urban Chat organized a few years back, and it was fantastic. The films highlight some very creative approaches to improving housing, transportation, and building more livable spaces generally; this is a great way to get inspired. Coming to Petaluma on Wednesday, February 12 at 6 pm (Boulevard Cinemas at 200 C St). Tickets and more information about the films are posted here: https://www.urbanchat.org/film-festival-2025

I need to replace brake pads on my Subaru Forester. I got quotes from Hansel Subaru and Tillet’s in Santa Rosa, both of which are on a higher side. I was wondering if there are any other reliable and affordable mechanics that I can call for quotes?
P.S.: Quotes I got so far
Hansel Subaru: $540 for front and $450 for rear (~$1000 to replace brake pads and resurface rotors)
Tillet’s: ~$1150-$1200 to replace both brake pads and rotors
Someone should be held accountable for this. Imagine all those frightened students who believe it was a possible active shooter situation.
We need some suggestions for a repair person to fix our dishwasher. We would love someone familiar with fixing Bosch dishwashers. We've tried fixing it ourselves but really need someone to have a look at it. We keep getting an error message (we've cleaned it, checked out everything we know how).
If you haven't already heard, many subreddits are polling users about (or have already started) banning links to X/Twitter from their subreddit.
Please put in your vote to help is weigh a decision for our community.
I was given a nice backpack, that needs repair because a dog found a cookie in it. It's practically new but 2 zippers are ruined.Does someone nearby do repairs?
Title says all. What restaurant is the cheapest/best deal in town?
