Thoughts of Cloth Diaper Service

In the context of living with least impact. I need help from parents who might have used cloth diapers and cloth diaper service.

I found this - DIAPER WAGON https://diaperwagon.com/

Wondering if someone can give a overview and any useful suggestions.

Thank you

Used Baby Stuff

We are having a baby girl 5 months.

I want to do my best to utilize pre-loved things. Craigslist and Offerup is stellar yet leaves something to be desired.

Brief list of things we are trying to accquire:

  1. 0-3M baby clothes?
  2. Bibs
  3. Bottles
  4. Burp cloth
  5. Cloth diapers

Asking the community to message me if they have things that can find new homes. Willing to pay, of course.

Best place for men's hair cut

Time for another suggestions thread. I used to go to The Shop but I find they don't do that good of a job for the money I pay, seems pretty overpriced. Any other places people like nearby?

Does anyone sell fencing by the foot?

I’m looking for a bit of fencing. I’ve checked Friedman’s. Anyone have ideas? I need the type in the picture. Four feet high, about eight feet of it.

Spicy Food

Hello! I have a sinus cold I cannot shake, and I am looking for spicy food recommendations I can take out to help loosen it all up.

Prefer something on the lighter side, like soups, or smaller bites.

Thank you!

Stalker creep tried to follow me. Unable to make an anonymous tip/call/report to PPD. Why?

This is absolutely unacceptable. I am making this post anonymously, but I want this to be widely known. PPD has disabled Anonymous Tip Lines (maybe in leu of the current situation on Kentucky Bars?).

Anyways I attempted to report a stalker who followed me from a bar I was at despite me telling the bartenders I am leaving because he is creeping on me. They said "yeah sorry about that we noticed he was being a weirdo" but didn't provide anything more than that. I didn't expect more than that but I really wish at this point someone had fucking stopped him because he continued to follow me.

As I left the bar and walked down the street I lit a cig, and was cautious because I was nervous this creep would be there. And he was. He followed me while I decided to smoke a cigarette. I was lucky enough that I was fairly certain he would be a creep who would follow me so I watched him after walking about 1 block away and turning round he was there.. I walked another block away, he followed. I walked a block diagonal (across the street and across again). He kept following me each corner and each crosswalk across the way. Even pretending to check his phone or drag an imaginary cigarette when I kept looking back.

I knew that this guy had stalker vibes from encountering him at the bar let alone while he followed me so I immediately decided it was time to quit the cig and just walk away as fast as I could for my safety. I hurried down another block and yet again I saw him following. I got into my car about 2 blocks outside the bar (I was only there for a drink before I had planned to head out, yet my night was cut short by a fucking weirdo like this guy...). He saw me get in and I pray to god he didn't read my plates.

I started to panic like it was an emergency at this point. But I kept calm as I drove up a few blocks past my house because I just wanted to leave without this guy following me. He was clearly intent on following me home. I drove away after but kept making sure he wasn't following.

I got home (after driving a few extra blocks to avoid being followed) and went to report to the anonymous PPD hotline. Guess what? it's a looping receiver with no actual "anonymous" tip lines to leave. I feel like I can not go back to this bar nor can I be truly safe in this town. Fucking great.

Why can't I leave an anonymous tip? Do I need to make a formal police report despite nothing truly occurring that night?

Computer Repair

Does anyone have recommendations for computer repair services in Petaluma? My 4 year old laptop isn’t broken; but it is so slow. I used to be pretty tech savvy and able to solve issues on my own. I know there must be a bunch of programs running in the background but I just can’t figure it out anymore. I only use word, excel and check my email. I need help. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Incident at Haystack Landing movie (1999)

Hello all! I am looking for a movie called Incident at Haystack Landing. It is a horror movie that came out in 1999. I cannot find an online source to watch it! In attempts to procure a physical copy, I visited the Petaluma Visitors Center (nice ladies, but they had not heard of it). At the visitors center we looked through a list of "movies shot in Sonoma County" stretching back to 1913 and Incident at Haystack Landing was not on the list. The next day, I visited the Petaluma Historical Library and Museum. The docent there had indeed heard of the movie, but they did not have a copy (she was only able to print the IMDB page off the internet for me, which was a very nice gesture). I then visited Copperfield's book store in downtown hoping they'd have a movie section, but they did not.

My questions are has anyone seen this movie, and does anyone here know where I can watch it? Also, if there are any more likely spots in the Sonoma County area that may have a copy (museums, archives, old video stores, etc), I would love to hear ideas. Thanks so much in advance!

Is it a possibility that our theater could have IMAX in the future? Closet one currently is in San Francisco.

Would anyone happen to know how all that works out?

How loud is it living off of Bodega Ave?

There is a house for sale I have my eye on. My realtor is telling me not to even bother going to see it because it’s right off of Bodega about 10 mins away from Downtown. Is this really a very busy road?

Private tennis lessons

My husband and I recently moved from SF to Petaluma and are searching for private tennis lessons. Does anyone know of any instructors in Petaluma? I've only been able to find teachers in Rohnert Park when searching online. We started playing one year ago, so relatively new.

Poppins needs a home!

Hi everyone! I made another post about my recent separation and impending move to Petaluma and thought I’d give this a try as well. I need to re-home my sweet girl. I’m left with no job, no friends, no family besides the relative I’m moving in with after all this. My relative’s dog was attacked when she was younger and can’t have other dogs in the house.

I’ve also come to the realization that as much as I want to make it work I can’t give her what she needs to really thrive. I need to make sure she goes to her forever home and not to another shelter or a foster situation. I need to know she’ll be okay before I do anything for myself.

I can meet around the Bay Area for anyone interested. She’s great with other dogs and takes time to warm up to people. When she’s comfortable she’ll be your best buddy for life.

Starting fresh and could use some advice!

I(28f) just got out of an almost 4 year long relationship with an alcoholic. I’m starting completely fresh and moving in with a relative in Petaluma till I can get back on my feet. I don’t know much besides what my relative has told me about the town. I’d love to know any suggestions for what might be fun to do in/near town. This relationship left me with no friends and I’m excited to try to find people around my age to get to know.

One thing to note is I’m not a drinker. I’m fine around casual, normal drinking but no bars or anything excessive please.
