valentine’s day themed :P
I'm the worst doodler ever so this took me forever and I'm really proud of it 😅 a little too proud for something this simple. But I have to practice somehow!
I see so many creative envelopes and letter inserts that I feel almost embarrassed by what I send. I try for fancy lettering and decorate with stickers (I love stickers!). Is there any way to either accept my lack of artistic flair or maybe you have some super simple tips for pretending to be creative? 😉
I’ve just found my first ever pen pal from Asia, and I’m not sure how mailing things to her would work. She’s Chinese, so do I need to write her address in Chinese characters or it still go through properly in pinyin (English letters)? All of my other pen pals are from the US and Europe so I have no experience with this yet.
I know I could google this but I’m not sure if I trust what /should/ happen rather than real people’s experiences
I’m pretty proud of this one. I am having so much fun pen-palling! 🥰
Finished my first letter ever! Pen-palling is so fun! 🤩 The tiny envelope included some extras. :) Let me know what you think and any tips you have! <3
Haii everyone ! Im new to the reddit and penpaling world, i have already some penpals and i sent and recieved some letters, i also have all materials like: washi tape, stickers, envelopes, etc etc.. But even writing the letter and having added decorations i still quite feel like the letter is empty, and i dont know how to maybe fix this thing. I feel like the letter maybe misses something, might be the decoration ? idk if its an illusion or it rlly misses something, but my intention is making a very cute letter and i think that i might need some advice not only in the letter decoration but also in the envelope decoration. Any advice wold help me, thanks for reading, and nice to meet you all ! 🫶🏼
Pretty much wondering how long it takes y'all to create and send a letter after receiving one? I feel like in the past I have been a little slow to respond to my penpals.
Ok I’m very new to pen-palling, but I’ve been watching YouTube videos and I’ve seen all your creations, and I think I may be more inexperienced than I thought! 😭 The penpal videos on YouTube are amazing, and the letters always blow me away. But I don’t have that degree of stationary, accessories, and ephemera… 🫣 How do I make a good letter, and will people like them if they aren’t as good as those YouTube ones. 🥲 I’ve seen people comment that it’s the letter, not just the goodies that count. Has it been that way for you? If anyone knows any tips for a beginner, I’d appreciate it. I want to be creative!
I have been trying to find a nice way to encapsulate a letter before sending it- and so I recently tried putting everything underneath my scanner!
I have tried this on the past but just with the letter itself (so i can remember what i writted about) and this outcome is also very nice!
A fun theme for my Christmas mail
Hello!
I 30F live in Namibia and I used to participate in snailmail with some people from a group on Facebook. I loved the idea so much! BUT, one of my letters I received FOUR years later?!!! My penpal asked if we were still in lockdown. 🤣 I felt so crushed that it takes mail so long to reach me, that I just don't want to do it anymore.
So, what I'd like to know is, do you know of a legit subreddit for penpals over email? I'd love to try that!
Thank you for your time! 🤗
Letter I recently made :) The bunnies are reactions ro the Text/ my expressions to the things I wrote about.
